Reasoning: Gregory always seems baffled by Ava's advances on him and comments on his appearance. In general he seems to feel awkward around romance and social interactions in general. When he does flirt with Janine it seems to be more because their personalities mesh well and they have a lot in common than because he finds her physically attractive.
