Summary: Harry and Y/n Potter are twins but will they go into the same House?

Authors Note: I have a couple of ideas with this overall idea. Also I have nothing against other houses! the gif is Draco cause its the only one I could find from the first movie.

“Harry Potter….Gryffindor?” The sorting hat called out. Y/n watched as her brother headed to his house table while everyone else cheered.

“Y/n Potter.” the sorting hat called out her name. Y/n walked up nervously to the chair. “Hmmm, loyalty I sense in you- but not much patience so no the Hufflepuff. Lots of creativity, but not into studying so not Ravenclaw. That leaves us to Gryffindor and Slytherin. You are brave- but I sense a lot of ambition. You could be a strong leader, very resourceful. Full of determination and cleverness as well. Although your courageous, daring and got nerve. I sense more Slytherin traits in you young Potter. Y/n Potter, Slytherin!” the hat called out, after a somewhat long time of mumbling. It made Y/n’s heart stop along with a few others. The twins sent to different houses was worrisome to the older wizards, but just shocking to all the students.

“At least one Potter is smart.” Draco commented as y/n sat down across from the platinum blonde at the Slytherin table. Y/n just ut her head down. The twins have relied on eachother for so much during their short lifes. To be separated now was verve racking to both.

“Welcome to Slytherin. I’m Trix.” A boy about a year or two older than her greeted from across the table.

“Hi” y/n said meekly

“I can tell you’re scared, being separated from your brother. It’ll get easier. I’m Haven.” A girl around the same age as the boy said sitting next to her.

“Y/n” Y/n mumbled her name shyly.

“We promise, Y/n. We’ll be here for you.” Trix nodded at her trying to help her get comfortable.

“So one Potter has a brian. That’s a good sign.” Draco snarked smugly

“Buzz off Malfoy.” Haven spoke harshly to the boy.

“Leave her alone.” Trix stared down the boy next to him.

“Don’t worry about him.” HAven spoke softly pulling Y/n closer to her still glaring at the Malfoy boy.

“Yeah, his whole family is Slytherin. He probably can’t be placed anywhere else.” Trix winked at the two girls.

“Why are you both being so nice to me?” Y/n asked confused but grateful.

“We get where you are. Your situation.” Trix told the young girl.

“We both have siblings.” Haven added

“And their in different houses too. Just like you and your brother.” Trix explained with a sad smile.

“Also we don’t come from families full of Slytherins either.” Haven stated, knowing the twin’s story.

“Thanks” Y/n smiled small but gratefully.

“No problem.” the two older Slytherins said at the same time.
