Smile, Michael! đĄď¸đ¸
Time Travel AU Part: 9
Lucifer slithered between the blades of grass, his small stature masking his presence. Memories from last night flashed within his mind. Those golden eyes, standing out in the darkness, challenging him like a defiant flame. It was on. Lucifer might have initially investigated out of concern and duty (and maybe some revenge), but now his pride was at stake. He was challenged by Adam, and he was not about to back down. He was never too fond of the first man anyway. He was arrogant, acting like he knew better than both him and Lilith. Adam needed to be knocked down a peg or two, and Lucifer was more than happy to oblige.Â
First stop was the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Judging from his behaviour, Lucifer was sure Adam had eaten the fruit from the tree. He just had to look for evidence that the tree was tampered with. Signs of a plucked fruit, or leftover from the bitten fruit. Luckily for him, the fruit never rots nor does the tree close its wounds subtly. Signs that a fruit was taken should be obvious to the eye and easy to prove. Honestly, it was almost too easy.Â
When Lucifer navigated towards the tree, he was confident of his chances. However, once he arrived, that confidence quickly waned. What greeted him was the tree of knowledge of good and evil in all of its pristine glory. The atmosphere was still, the grass was tall and wildly growing. It was as if the area was stuck in time, untouched by the life outside of its bubble. There was no sign that anyone had been here since the garden was made. Lucifer shook his head. There was no way Adam hadnât eaten the forbidden fruit. This was just a first impression, and he needed to have a closer inspection. Adam may have covered his tracks well enough, but Lucifer could be meticulous when needed.
Lucifer made his way towards the tree, up its bark, along its many branches. He turned every leaf, inspected every fruit, looked for stubs, even searched amongst the grass for any drop of evidence. And nothing. He looked over everything once more. Twice more. Thrice more. Still, nothing was amiss. It was as if the tree had remained untouched until now. Lucifer couldnât believe it. Either Adam had perfectly hidden his tracks, or he had never eaten the fruit to begin with. Both explanations were baffling, and yet Lucifer was by the tree, unable to prove otherwise.Â
Irritated and confused, but mostly confused, Lucifer eventually made his way back towards the gardenâs gate. He wanted to share what he found out so far with Lilith. Perhaps she could provide more insight? She did spend a lot more time with Adam, especially when they were just made. Lucifer sighed. This was a lot more confusing and challenging than he thought it was going to be.
Maybe it was the sunâs rays reflecting off his scales at just the right angle, or maybe it was because he wasnât paying much attention to the path he was following, either way Lucifer was brought back to reality by the presence of a human. A woman specifically.Â
âOh! I havenât seen one like you before,â Eve bent down to have a closer look at the small, white snake in front of her. She reached out with her finger, stopping just a few inches away from the snakeâs head. âNo? Not the affectionate type, are you? Thatâs alright,â She smiled softly, as she pulled her hand away, opting to instead admire the beautiful snake from a distance.
Lucifer stopped in his tracks, surprised by the second womanâs sudden presence. How did he not notice her? He briefly thought of immediately slithering away, but judging by her demeanour, it seemed like the woman thought he was like any other animal in the garden. In the brief time he had spent lurking in the garden, he had found out that the second woman was from Adamâs rib, not long after Lilith and Lucifer were expelled from Eden. Coming from Adam, Lucifer initially thought she would be similar to him in many ways, and yet whenever her presence caught his eyes, he never detected any form of animosity or âunpleasantâ feelings emanating from her. He never got an uneasy feeling from her unlike Adam. Her presence was made of simple innocence and sincerity. Lucifer found it hard to believe that she came from Adam. They were so different in many ways. Honestly, he felt pity for Eve, to have to remain with someone like Adam. It must be unbearable not to have freedom.Â
Maybe there was a way he could help her.Â
â-
Lucifer eventually made his way back to Lilith. A home amongst the trees, high above the ground, but still covered by the forest canopy. It was their little haven in the massive world that they recently found themselves in. There were many dangers outside the garden, however, his angelic nature alone was enough to deter any predator from approaching. Unfortunately, Lilith was human, and Lucifer, as much as he wanted to, couldnât always be by her side. And so, while they didnât need it much, Lucifer used magic to keep his love and their haven perfectly safe from any harm that would ever dare come close.Â
As he approached their home, Lucifer was greeted with the sight of Lilith in all of her regal beauty sitting on the balcony, leisurely reading one of the books he had given her. Her blonde hair like silky rays of sun flowing amongst the leaves, her delicately sculpted figure a perfection amongst imperfections, and her amethyst eyes a priceless jewel. She never fails to steal Luciferâs breath away whenever he gazes upon her image.Â
âSomething caught your eye?,â Lilith asked, a teasing smile on her lips.
Lucifer nodded, smiling as he flew to sit beside her. âOh, just the most perfect woman in existence.â He held her hand and placed a soft kiss on it. âI missed you.â
âI missed you too.â Lilith put down her book to give her full attention to her husband. âYou look troubled, what's wrong?â
Lucifer told her of all his findings in the garden. About Adamâs changing behaviour depending on who was present, his recent questionable actions, and the fact that he had seemingly not eaten the fruit of knowledge. How there was evidence in his behaviour, but no traces of it in the garden. It simply seemed impossible.Â
âThatâs why Iâm asking you to remember when Adam may have changed. He couldnât have always been like this from the beginning.â
Lilith hummed in contemplation, one hand on her chin. When did Adam change? While he did become more and more condescending and controlling as time went on, she didnât particularly notice any sudden shifts in attitude. To her, Adam had always been unpleasant.Â
âWhy couldnât he always have been like that?,â Lilith finally replied.
âWhat do you mean?â
âNow that Iâve thought more deeply about it, Adam never seemed to have truly cared for me. Did you know he pulled his hand away from me in disgust when we first met? This was after all of the angels left.â
âReally?â
Lilith nodded. âIt only went downhill from there. Adam had always been Adam. Yes, he got worse later on, but no abrupt changes. I think it was just him slowly shedding his mask.â
Lucifer looked down at his lap. He didnât like the conclusion Lilith was leading him down, but she would never lie to him. To question his fatherâs work. Did God make a mistake when he made Adam? Was there a flaw that Heaven failed to notice? Just the thought itself was blasphemous. Every thought in his body demanded him to banish such thoughts from his mind. To show respect to his father and creator.
âIâŚdonât believe that Heaven is perfect,â Lilith added. âThey did, afterall, punish us for our harmless love.â
The thought gripped onto Luciferâs mind, unwilling to let go. Lilith was right. Heaven liked to present itself as perfect and fair, when in reality it was not. Lucifer felt the foundations he had always believed in crumbling around him. It was difficult for him to accept this new reality, but he could see it now. Similar to how Lilith was finally able to see the world outside of Eden and Godâs plans, Lucifer was finally able to see what Heaven truly was. He held Lilithâs hand in one of his. It was his silent agreement.Â
A thought crossed his mind. The image of the second woman being carefree and innocently exploring the cage that disguised itself as paradise. She didnât know any better, and wouldnât know any better if things remained the same.Â
âI forgot to talk more about it. About Adamâs new wife,â Lucifer brought up.
Lilith quirked an eyebrow. Her gaze told him to go on. Lucifer did briefly mention that Heaven made Adam a new wife, the second woman, and she would be lying to herself if she didnât admit she was at least curious about her replacement.Â
âShe was made from one of his ribsâŚâ
âNot from the dust of the earth?â
Lucifer shook his head, âNo. And at first, I did think that she would be similar to Adam, being made from him and all, but sheâs not like him at all.â He then described his perception of Eve to Lilith. How the second woman was devoid of any ill intent. Her eyes were always full of wonder and excitement as she fully took in everything around her. Always a little too willing and eager to listen to Adamâs whims, like she didnât know any better. Sure, Adam treated her well enough, but how could he not when Heaven tailor-made a wife for him?
Lilith listened to every word, taking all of this new information in. From what she understood, it seemed that Heaven made the second woman while considering Lilithâs personality. While she was reserved and assertive, Eve seemed to be lively and passive. A little too passive.Â
âItâs as if the concept of choice was never built into her,â Lilith added, disgust and anger written all over her face. So that was all Heaven thought of them. Something readily replaceable and to be changed whenever it suited them, like playthings. Why call them perfect in the first place? Lilith clenched her fists tightly. It wasnât fair at all, for both her and Eve.
âWe have to help her. Donât you think she deserves better? She should, at the very least, be allowed to decide for herself,â Lilith said with finality, her amethyst eyes emboldened by her resentment to Heaven for what they had done.Â
This was why Lucifer couldnât help but love the first woman. She shared his passion and dreams to be able to be who you are with no restraints. She craved true freedom the same way he did. A proud smile crept on his lips, âI knew you would understand. You always do. And yes, we will help her. Iâve got an idea.âÂ
â-
Lucifer was back in the garden, hiding his presence in the form of various animals. He had two goals now. One, expose Adamâs true nature to Heaven, and Two, give free will to Eve. It sounded simple enough, and yet here was hiding in trees after almost being caught by Michael. Ever since the night that Adam challenged him, the first man had clung to his brother whenever he visited the garden. And wherever Adam was, Eve followed. All three of them were always together, like peas in a pod.Â
He wrapped himself on the treeâs branch, his swaying impatiently as he waited for Michael to finally go back to Heaven. He swore that his brother took longer and longer to go back, âDonât you have more work up there?âÂ
Suddenly, Lucifer felt himself quickly untangle from the branch and sink towards the ground as something snatched his tail. He forgot the fourth pea in the pod, their pet cat who was weirdly protective of the first man. Amora pinned his scaly body on the ground, yellow eyes looking down on him. If he didnât know any better, he would say that she looked rather smug. Very like Adam. It was no wonder she had taken a liking to him.Â
Amora then placed Lucifer in her mouth, her grip secure, but not deadly, before heading to a sprint towards the trio in the meadow.
âOh no you donât!âÂ
Just as quickly, Lucifer shifted into another animal. Something even smaller. A small, red beetle. And before Amora could bring him to the trio, Lucifer slipped from her jaws, and flew into the air. Way higher up this time.Â
When she felt her prey gone from her jaws, Amora stopped abruptly in the middle of the field. Desperately looking around for her prized prey, subsequently catching Adamâs attention.Â
âOof! Whatâs wrong girl?,â he patted her back when she finally gave up and slumped on him.Â
Amora let out a disgruntled growl. Adam understood what that meant. It meant that a weird animal slipped by her again. The weird animal being Lucifer. That was alright though, she at least kept him on his toes and far away enough from both him and Eve. While not as effective as Michael, Amora did keep the snake at bay most of the time.
âSheâs been acting odd lately,â Michael commented, looking up as he shifted his focus on the flower halo he was trying to make. Key word tried. It seemed that he found another thing he wasnât particularly good at. Looking at his sorry excuse of a flower halo, Michael wasnât even sure why he was still trying at this point. His looked like it could fall apart from a slight breeze, and it was too large and misshapen, its flowers almost crumpled from the amount of times he replaced them. But when Eve invited him to join her and Adam in making flower halos (to be like angels as Eve said), and Adam gave him a perfectly crafted one, that now rested upon his head, and well, he thought he should at least return the favour. That, and Adamâs presence near him, as he taught him what to do and praised his efforts, felt rather⌠nice. It was like a craving almost fulfilled. A craving that gradually grew more and more potent as the days rolled on. It was also a craving that he couldnât fully satisfy and shouldnât. But he would take what he could.Â
âIs it her friend again?,â Eve asked.
Adam nodded, âHer friend ran away again.â
The angel had been visiting the garden more frequently, and staying longer as well. Maybe the animals werenât as comfortable with him as he thought? The other angels in Heaven did say that he had an icy aura sometimes.Â
âMaybe her friend is anxious about my presence?â
âIâd say heâs terrified,â Adam snorted inwardly. âMaybe.â
Oh, so his presence was causing some anxiety amongst the gardenâs inhabitants. Michael frowned, âI could go if it would make them feel more comfortable.â
Just as he was about to stand and get ready to leave, Adamâs hand shot out to stop him. He had a worried look on his face. âUhâŚyou havenât finished your flower halo yet.â His hand left Michaelâs forearm and moved onto his shoulder. âBesides, your presence is a comfort.â
Oh dear. That sweet smile and earnest eyes. Michael felt his cravings spike up again, and Adam carelessly was feeding it.Â
Michael found it hard to say anything, he eventually found his voice. He cleared his throat, âAlright, Iâll stay.â
Adam pulled back his hand, and Michael already missed the comforting warmth from Adamâs hand. The feel of it lingered on his right forearm and shoulder, etched into memory.Â
âYour presence is a comfort.â
Michael smiled to himself. That was nice to know.

Adam sat on a rock at the edge of the lake, lazily dipping his feet in the cool water. It had been a few days since Michael first visited him, and ever since then, the angel had made sure to visit him in the garden everyday, and ensured that he took care of himself well enough. It was embarrassing for Adam, to be taken care of like that, but he was thankful for the company since he still didnât wish to see Lilith and Lucifer. Even the thought of them still hurt him.

Michael watched the first man nibble silently on the apple he had given him. He clearly didnât have the appetite to eat despite how sickly he looked. He had hoped that some sunlight, fresh air and food would lighten up the first man. Clearly that wasnât the case. It was also clear that Adam didnât wish to tell him what caused this behaviour.Â
And so, they just sat on the grass in silence. Not an easy silence, but it also wasnât uncomfortable. It was a silence on mutual understanding. And really, Michael did understand Adamâs silence. Not because he knew why, but because he also preferred to keep some things close to himself. Although, if there were any hints of it being harmful in some way, then of course he would have to intervene. As of now, however, he would respect Adamâs wish for privacy.
âUnless itâs something harmful, you donât have to tell me why youâre acting this way,â Michael started, turning to face Adamâs forlorn figure. âBut you have to promise me that youâll at least take care of yourself.â
Adam half heartedly nodded at the angel's words as he fiddled with his half eaten apple, having long given up on finishing it. He was relieved that the angel didnât pry any further, but he didnât have the energy to be happy about it. Or about anything at all.Â
Seeing Adamâs response, Michael was convinced that the first man was, in fact, not going to start taking care of himself. He sighed, a little exasperated. Not at Adam, but at his brother, Lucifer. Seriously, what did he do this time? Michael already had so much work to do in Heaven. But then⌠Lucifer almost never directly asks for help, often trying to fix the problem before anyone ever finds out. Not that it stopped Michael from having to help him out a few times. He was sure he could squeeze some time for this in his already busy schedule. Besides, like Lucifer said, he was already patrolling the garden anyway.
âIâve decided. I will be visiting everyday until you are well,â Michael declared.
This time, Adam looked up to face Michael. And what he saw were determined blue eyes, that were steadfast in their sincerity. Adam gave a slight smile. He hoped that this wasnât a lie.Â
âAlright. Iâll be waiting then.â

And so, Adam was waiting for Michaelâs visit today just as he did yesterday and the day before and so on. The lake had become their daily meeting spot. Adam had chosen the place early on so that the angel didnât have to look all over the garden for him.
While he waited, Adam played with the water with his feet. Splashing around and at nearby fish, who in turn swam away only to come back again. It felt refreshing. The way that the water that clung to his tanned skin felt cool, and the midday sun warmed up his skin with its light. The birds were singing along with soft rustling of leaves, flowers swaying to Edenâs tune. Echoes of the past ring within his ears. Three sets of laughter in the lake. Loud splashing sounds and squeals of joy. The pitter patter of water droplets as heavy footsteps dragged themselves onto the grass. Back when all three of them still played together. Adam had dragged Lucifer into the water, soaking him from head to toe, his robes drenched and his hat floating away from him. Lilith, though she rarely did, had also joined Adam in his shenanigans, splashing more water onto the surprised angel. It was the three of them on a refreshing day, playing in the water. Now, it was just him and the fish. One particularly curious fish swam close to his legs and stayed there. Its beady eyes focused on Adam as it attempted to splash water back at him.
Adam smiled, âOh, if only you could talkâŚâ
Droplets fell onto his lap. Despite it all, he missed them, and yet, he couldnât allow them to be near him. Not right now anyway. He missed the times when they all spent time together, whether it was playing around, singing and playing songs or just talking about the new things they had found in the garden. He missed the days when he lived simply, unburdened by these unpleasant thoughts and feelings.Â
A slimy feeling on his leg brought Adam out of his thoughts. The fish snuggled up against his leg, eyes looking up at him. At least the animals were always there for him. Adam dipped his hand onto the water, petting the curious fish.Â
âSorry I didnât visit for a while.â
â-
Michael arrived by the lake, just a few feet away from the first man. It had been a few days since he had begun visiting Adam, and while the human was still despondent, he was at least getting better, even just a little. The sight in front of him confirmed that. Yes, he still had that sad look on his face, but he started playing with the animals again. That was a good sign.
Michael walked silently towards the first man, not wishing to burst the bubble of peace that Adam had made for himself. A small smile crept onto his face once he got close enough to see that Adam was talking to and playing with a particularly curious fish. A soft innocence radiating off of him as he spoke to the fish in an affectionate manner.Â
Unfortunately, Michael had to announce his presence. âHello Adam.â
At the sound of his voice, the fish quickly swam away back into the deeper part of the lake and Adam brought his hands out of the water, turning to face Michael. The little moment was broken.Â
âOh, hi Michael. Youâre finally here,â Adam gave a small wave, a soft smile on his face. While he wasnât particularly close with the angel, and Michael wasnât as playful as Lucifer, he appreciated the fact that the angel kept his promise of visiting him everyday even if it was just to make sure he took care of himself. Besides, this angel was so different from Lucifer that his innate curiosity couldnât help but poke its head out. He thought most angels would be like, or at least similar to, Lucifer. Friendly, playful and prone to do tricks. While Michael did look similar to Lucifer, their personalities were quite different. Michael wasnât particularly talkative or playful and he hadnât played a trick on Adam yet. That didnât mean he wasnât nice though. He was just as nice as Lucifer (and hopefully even nicer). It was just a different kind of niceness. In a more reserved and subtle way. But he could feel it. He could feel it in the way he helped Adam find and pick out food that he could tolerate to eat, or when he would say soothing words that uplifted Adamâs spirits, or when he would answer Adamâs questions earnestly as he told him stories about Heaven from his perspective. Michael was a very kind angel, despite Adamâs initial reluctance of his company.Â
âHow are you today?,â Michael stepped a little closer to Adam, âdoing a bit better?â
Adam nodded. He was doing better, even just a bit, thanks to the angel's insistence.Â
âDid you eat this morning?â
Adam nodded again.
âHow about at noon?â
âUmâŚâÂ
Seeing Adamâs reluctance to answer, Michael gave the first man a scolding look. Not a harsh one, but more akin to an parent who caught their child red handed. A little disappointed, but not angry.Â
âAh. Nono,â Adam waved his hands in slight panic, trying to clear the misunderstanding. âActually, I was waiting for you to join me.â He picked up something from behind the rock, where Michael couldn't clearly see. âI found this interesting fruit, I thought you night want to try.âÂ
Adam proudly presented a pineapple to the angel. It wasn't an easy fruit to get, its skin being firm and rough to the touch, and he needed something sharp to cut off its stem. With enough effort though, he managed to get one to share with Michael.Â
It was a curious looking plant, Michael had to admit. Relatively large and heavy. Its skin appeared to be tough. Its leaves waxy and prickly. Was it even edible? If he didn't know any better, he'd say it was some sort of weapon. An odd organic weapon. Definitely a curious looking fruit, and at the moment, he was a curious angel.Â
There was no need for angel's to eat, but there was also no harm in eating. So, Michael thought he might as well indulge Adam, if that would make him happier. Plus, he did want to try the fruit. It was a double win situation.Â
âWell, if you don't mind me joining youâŚâÂ
Adam noticeably brightened up at Michael's response. He always liked to share and try new things with someone. Adam scooched over and eagerly patted the space beside him, urging the angel to sit beside him. And so, Michael did, though he had to be careful not to accidentally push the human into the water with his wings. The bulk of six wings suddenly became rather inconvenient.Â
Using a sharpened rock, Adam began slicing off the pineapple's tough skin, revealing the juicy yellow fruit inside. Then, he began cutting the yellow part into smaller bite size pieces. Once done, he placed the cut fruit pieces onto a cleaned banana leaf he had prepared earlier, before presenting the prepared fruit to Michael, clearly pleased with himself and his skills.Â
âHere, here, have some!â Adam stared wide-eyed at Michael, anticipating for him to have the first bite.Â
And so, Michael did. He grabbed a piece between his fingers before popping them into his mouth. It was soft, with some crunch to it, and very juicy. The juice from the slice burst across his tongue, leaving a sweet flavour and an odd tingling sensation. It was unlike anything he had before. Without thinking, his hand reached out for another piece.Â
âSo, do you like it?,â Adam asked before grabbing a piece himself. He liked sharing meals with others, and was secretly hoping that if Michael liked it enough, then he would join for more in the future. It was his way avoiding loneliness and some sort of return to how he used to spend time in the garden. Luckily for Adam, the angel seemed to like it, grabbing a piece one after the other. Clearly enjoying the refreshing sweetness of the fruit.Â
Michael nodded, pleasantly surprised by the sweet flavour of the fruit. Coupled with warm sunnyâs rays and the cool breeze that danced across the lake. The gentle swaying of leaves, the peaceful songs of critters living their lives. Michael had never fully appreciated the garden. He visited the garden, did his routine patrols, and then left, never spending any more time than necessary. Sure, he saw the beauty in it, but he only truly realised why it was called paradise. It was perfection unlike Heaven. Where Heaven was pristine, organised and radiant in its beauty, Eden was akin to freeing wildness, a warm and organic perfection. What he initially thought of as another favour for Lucifer had turned out to be one of the more delightful things he got to do as of today.Â
Adam watched the angel enjoy the pineapple, one hand resting on his cheek. It was a little shocking for the first man. To see the normally cool and reserved angel obviously delighted with newfound sensations. It reminded him of when he used to find new things together with Lilith and Lucifer. He could go find them now, but he wasnât sure he wanted to see their faces yet. That, and it had become obvious to him now that they preferred to be together without Adam, if them missing or being too busy to spend time with him were any indication. Besides, Michael was good company. He just hoped he would stay.

Time Travel AU Part: 10
Wherever Eve went, out of the corner of her eye, she always spotted a certain white snake. Always watching her from a safe distance, but never interacting with her. Initially, she thought they were multiple different white snakes, but now, she was definitely sure that it was the same snake that had been following her around. The appearance and behaviour were too similar and consistent for it to be another snake. Today too, as she was out gathering breakfast, the white snake was watching her from a distant tree. And today too, she would try to approach it, hoping that it wouldnât run away again.Â
Eve made her way through bushes, over tree roots and under branches towards the tree the snake was hanging onto. She hoped that this time once she reached the spot, the snake would remain. The thick foliage of the forest made her way towards the snake more arduous than she thought. Tree roots jutted out of the soil in thick rough arches, gigantic leaves refusing to give way, prickly shrubs obstinately blocking her path. It was as if nature itself was trying to stop her.
Hunched over with both hands on her knees, the way towards the tree tired her out more than she thought, Eve finally reached the spot she thought where the snake was. Starting from the roots, up the thick trunk, along the meandering branches, and finally, her blue eyes landed on a glistening white snake, beady red eyes staring back at her.Â
âOh!,â Eve hadnât expected the snake to remain at the spot, much less to seemingly wait for her. âYou didnât run away this time,â she smiled, her hand reaching out to pet the snake's head.
âThatâs because I wanted to talk to you this time.â
Eveâs hand stopped mid reach. Did the snake just talk to her? She blinked slowly, âHuh? Did you just..?â
The snake smiled, red eyes curved into crescents, âOh, how rude of me. My name is Samael. Iâm an angel.â
âUm, Iâm Eve,â Eve replied, still shocked that a snake, who was supposedly an angel, just spoke to her. The only other angels she had ever met were Sera and Michael. âBut Samael, why do you look like that? Where are your wings?,â she asked, looking around the snakeâs back.
âAh, Iâm in disguise you see.â
âDisguise?â
âYes, itâs when you change your appearance so that others wonât recognise you.â Lucifer replied, tongue flicking every few words.Â
Eve tilted her head, brows furrowed, lips downturned slightly. âButâŚwhy would you need to do that?âÂ
Lucifer leaned back, slender body wrapped around himself. âHmm. Can you keep a secret?,â he hummed to himself, tail idly scratching his chin. âItâs because Iâm on a secret mission.â
Eve leaned forward, shoulders tense, ears straining to hear more.Â
âOh, itâs nothing serious,â Lucifer chuckled. âYou can ease up. Iâm just supposed to watch humanityâs progress from afar. Without intervention, so that it develops organically, you know?â he paused, a troubled look on his face. âBut ah, youâve revealed my disguise.â
âI can keep a secret!,â Eve exclaimed.
âReally?,â Lucifer leaned forward. âEven from your husband?â
âUh, well,â Eve rubbed her shoulder. âI donât want to ruin your work. Iâm sure Adam wouldnât mind.â
Lucifer smiled, happy he got the second womanâs trust. âYouâre too kind, Eve. Thank you.â He started to turn away, âWell, then. Itâs our little secret. See you around.â
Eve watched him slither down the tree and into the thick brushes of the forest. She couldnât believe she had just met such a unique angel. How exciting!
â-
âLilith, step one is complete. Eve will keep me a secret.â Lucifer slithered his way towards his wife, before transforming back to his original appearance.
âWell hello there beautiful, how are you so sure though?â Lilith replied, while admiring her chosen husbandâs angelic beauty. Bright blonde hair that was always soft to the touch, deep red enchanting eyes, and six majestic white and red tinted wings. His appearance never seemed to become dull and boring in her eyes.Â
Lucifer strolled towards her and then placed his head on her lap. âWell, Eve is not like Adam. Sheâs nice. And naive, a little too naive.â
Lilith hummed in response. âAnd how do you plan to get her to eat the fruit of knowledge?â Delicate fingers combed through soft blonde hair, untangling any knots that came between them. âI recall you told me that she was almost always with Adam. How would you keep her long enough?â
âWell⌠I might need the help of a certain beautiful lady,â Lucifer answered with a playful lilt.Â
âAnd what can this lady do for you?â Lilith questioned further, matching her husbandâs playful tone.Â
Lucifer turned to his side as he wrapped his arms around her waist, eyes fluttering at her. âSomething only a talented woman can do. Though, her beauty must unfortunately be hidden.â
âThat is unfortunate,â Lilith looked up as if contemplating the idea. âThough I'm sure she wouldnât mind since itâs for a good cause.â
âAh, I knew I could count on her. She is perfect after all.â Lucifer reached up to cup Lilithâs face, stretching up a little, and she met him halfway until their lips connected. She would always be there for her husband, just as he had been there for her.Â
â-
It was yet another warm, bright day in Eden. On such days like this, swimming at the beach, relaxing under a tree or playing in the lake would be appropriate activities. And yet, here was Lucifer watching Adam collect long sticks of similar sizes, and bringing them all back with him. With a small sharp stone, he started scraping the end of one stick at an angle until it became pointed and sharp. It looked like⌠no, it was definitely a crude spear. Where did he learn about that? Did Michael tell him about spears? He doubted it, there was no need for it. Plus, it was Michael, that guy was strict and serious about rules and safety.
Adam played around with his newly made spear, feeling the weight on his fingers. He swung it around with practised ease, muscle memory kicking in. Suddenly, he turned to a certain direction. And before Lucifer knew it, a spear flew tore through the foliage and past his scaly face, missing by just a few centimetres. Out of surprise, Lucifer lost his grip on the branch before falling towards the ground with a tiny yelp.
âIt would seem that I missedâŚâ Adam sighed as if disappointed. âBut consider it a warning.â He walked towards where he threw the spear, his eyes scanned the area where he thought Lucifer might have fallen as he picked up his spear. If only heâd fallen straight to hell. âI know youâre here Lucifer.â
A brightly coloured cockatiel emerged from the bushes and landed on a treeâs branch. Though it was a bird that had beady eyes and a beak that could not frown, its face somehow depicted a scowl.Â
âYou couldâve hurt me!â the bird chirped.
Adam rolled his eyes, not buying Luciferâs dramatics. He unfortunately knew that it would take much more to actually hurt him.Â
âI could just tell Michael that youâve been sneaking into the garden. Self defence,â Adam replied smugly. It wouldnât be a lie.
âAnd why havenât you? You know itâs because, despite gaining his favour, Iâm still his brother. You would need to have him catch me on the act for him to truly believe you, and Iâm much more careful now,â Lucifer answered, matching Adamâs arrogance. Two could play this game.
As much as Adam hated to admit it, Lucifer did have a point. While Michael had come to care for Adam, it was also obvious that he still held great love for Lucifer. Whenever Lucifer came up in a topic, Michael always spoke about him in a careful manner. He would disagree with Luciferâs actions and beliefs, but he never spoke about it in true anger, just mainly in disappointment. He still believed that Lucifer wasnât necessarily harmful, just very reckless and selfish. Like a young angel who hadnât yet fully understood Heavenâs rules.
He would slip up again soon enough.
The arrogance of the King of Hell had been present since the beginning it seemed, and Adam didnât really want to partake in that competition as of now. So, for once, he decided to be the âbigger manâ and turned on his heels ready to walk away. âHm, weâll see if youâre right in due time,â he said before ridding himself of Luciferâs presence.
âWhaâ Hey! Donât you walk away from me!,â Lucifer quickly flew towards Adam, near but not close enough for Adam to reach him.
âIâll do as I please. The garden is my home after all, not yours. In fact, you shouldnât even be here,â Adam strolled leisurely across the forest towards the tree line.
A disgruntled noise could be heard behind Adam, before a set of fast fluttering wings wooshed by him and cockatiel hovered just in front of him. âYou donât belong in the garden.â
Adam stopped in his tracks, an unamused look on his face. âWhat do you mean? God himself had given me this home, and I havenât broken any rules. Iâve done nothing but be obedient, unlike some people.â Adam scratched his head, eyes looking up at nothing in particular as he hummed. Then his eyes brightened up and the ends of his lips turned up ever so slightly. âAh, is it because Iâm more clever than youâd like to admit?â Adam walked past Lucifer. Just before he crossed the tree line into the open field, he turned to face him once more.Â
âDonât look so sad. Not everyone was made in Godâs image.âÂ
With that, Adam crossed the tree line and out under wide blue skies and bright sunny rays where Lucifer couldnât follow.
â-
It had been a few days since Adam had briefly dropped his mask in front Lucifer, and nothing had happened thus far. A self-assured smile crept on Adamâs face. He was right, Lucifer had nothing on him, and while his word wouldnât be enough to get him stripped of his angelic status, he was sure that given enough time, Michael wouldnât even doubt anything heâd say or do.
Though, anxiety had been slowly building up inside of Adam lately. It was nothing panic inducing, just that he got a bad feeling despite knowing he was safe and would remain in the garden. Michael did his usual visits and became closer to both him and Eve, Eve continued to stick close to him and he hadnât noticed any oddity in her behaviour. Still energetic and overly curious. However, this unfounded bad feeling continued to grow by the day, and today felt like it was about to burst out of him.Â
A white glimmer wrapped amongst the branches brought him out of his thoughts. It was, yet again, Lucifer watching his every move, awaiting for a moment to strike. Adam snorted. The snake could anticipate all he wanted, but Adam was confident that he had his bases covered. Though, he had to admit. The pesky snake was starting to grind his gears now.
âYouâre back. Again.â He made his way towards the snake and sat on the ground just beside the tree Lucifer was on. âAt this point, you should know thereâs no way for you to disprove my innocence.â
The snake wrapped its lower body tight around a branch as it lowered its face close to Adam. âI wouldnât call you innocent,â he hissed, eyes seemingly more piercing than usual. âYouâve proven that to me a long time ago, though others seem to be blind to it.â
âYou think your perspective is above that of Heavenâs?,â Adam chuckles. âHow prideful.â
Lucifer simply remained in place, sharp eyes looking around the garden as he carefully considered the idea. Bouncing and passing it around his mind, tasting it fully.Â
âPrideful indeed,â Adam thought to himself, as he watched Lucifer think.
Lucifer nodded to himself, and then those sharp eyes then were back on him. âI think Heaven is wrong,â he finally said, expression full of certainty.
âReally?,â Adam asked in mock disbelief.Â
âOf course you wouldn't agree,â Lucifer sighed. âWhy would you when they indulge you?â
That irked Adam. âArenât you the one about indulging? To do whatever you please, not caring about the effects you may cause?â You ruined humanity for fucks sake. Yes, Adam liked to indulge himself, but his indulgences never caused evil to be released into the world and doom humanity to hell. So for Lucifer to talk to him like that, well it just pissed him off. The fucking hypocrite.
And of course, the snake had the audacity to sigh in disappointment, âYou donât understand, you never do, and Iâm not sure if you ever will.â
That gave Adam pause. Why was Lucifer talking to him like that? The guy was prideful, but in a way that was childish and dramatic, not in a haughty reticent way. He turned to face the snake, this time carefully examining the look in its eyes. Thatâs when it hit him.
âYouâre not Lucifer.â
Eve. Where was Eve?
â-
âUm, Samael. Adam told me not to go near this tree.â
Eve had followed the angel, this time a winged serpent, after he told her that he had a gift for her. And Eve loved gifts! Especially gifts from angels. Sera had given her the best gift. She had given her Adam as her husband, and he was everything she could ask for, beautiful and perfect in every way. Michael had also given her a few gifts. From sharing his precious time with them to musical instruments to play lovely melodies. She wondered what this angel would gift her.
Lucifer settled himself on a branch of the tree of knowledge. âReally? Why not?â
Eve remained at her spot, just far enough from the tree, reluctance and worry weighing her down. âHeaven told him so. It was the only rule Heaven had given us.âÂ
The atmosphere felt dense, like a thick blanket that suffocated her. Eve really didnât want to be here anymore. She was experiencing emotions she didnât know how to describe, but she knew she didnât like it. âAdam said that eating a fruit from that tree would lead to dire consequences,â she fiddled with her fingers, wishing that her husband was there to hold her hand.
âAh, but this is the tree of knowledge,â Lucifer answered. âAdam must be mistaken. Why would knowledge be bad? He has shared knowledge with you, hasnât he?â
âIâŚI donât know.â
Lucifer flew over to her, scaly body bundled atop her head. âThatâs alright. Everyone makes mistakes.â His long slender upper body then dangled in front of her. âWouldnât it be nice to be the one to share knowledge with Adam this time? I think it would be a nice gift.â
It did sound nice to Eve. To be the one to finally gift her husband something new. She was grateful for all the things he had taught her, and she wanted to somehow repay him back.
That wouldnât do. The grip of reluctance remained tight on her. Lucifer needed to push her a little further. âIâm an angel of Heaven Eve. Iâm supposed to care for humanity. I wouldnât bring harm to you.â
Adam had told Eve not to listen or trust anyone called Lucifer as he would lie and trick her, but this was Samael, an angel of Heaven. Angels had only ever been good to both her and Adam, so why should this one be any different? Angels wouldnât lie to her. Plus, the idea of more knowledge did sound appealing to her. To finally be the one to share new things with her husband, to be the one to make his already beautiful eyes shine even brighter with newfound wonder.Â
Lucifer smiled inwardly. He knew he got her sold.Â
The serpent got off her head, and started to fly back towards the tree. âCome along then, Iâll help you choose a ripe fruit.â
â-
Adam rushed through prickly bushes, over thick crooked roots, cutting through tangling vines. He didnât care if bruises or cuts were made across his body, he just needed to reach Eve right now. He was almost there.Â
Eve please wait for me.
Adam bursted past the tree line, nearly tripping over himself. In front of him was the tree of knowledge of good and evil. And on the treeâs branch was a white, winged serpent and Eve in front of it, holding a red fruit to her mouth. There was a crunching sound, and the fruitâs juice slowly dripped down her chin.
âEve! Stop! Donât eat that! Spit it out!,â Adam shouted, voice laced with panic.Â
Eve dropped the fruit in surprise, but listened to what Adam said regardless. Though she had drunk the fruitâs juices, she still tried to expel what she had consumed and spat out the chunk of the fruit that she had bitten. What was happening? Why was her husband here looking distressed and worried?Â
âAdam? Whatâ whatâs happening?â Suddenly, Eve felt weak in her knees, the ground seemingly fast approaching. Her head felt like it was submerged under water as her mind was overwhelmed with knowledge.Â
Adam rushed to her side, catching her in his arms just before she fell to the ground. She held tight to him, hands shaking as the reality of what happened slowly sinking in. Tears freely flowed down her face. She was afraid. Afraid to lose her husband as she knew she no longer belonged in paradise for having broken the one rule set upon them.Â
âIâ Iâm sorry. Iâm so sorry Adam!,â she cried as she buried her face in his chest, afraid to face the consequences of her actions.
As much as he felt anger for what happened to her, and pity for her current state, Adam wouldnât and couldnât bring himself to lie to her and tell her that everything would be ok. It wouldnât be fair to her. To give her a last sense of hope when there really wasnât any other ending for her. So instead, he simply held her close, and held her tight.
The air was still, there were no singing birds, no playful rustling of animals playing around, the air became still and stale. The sky darkened, the clouds thickening and blocked out the sunâs light as it swirled ominously in the sky. A thunderous noise from the skies echoed throughout the silent garden, and a massive hole formed in the middle of the dark swirling clouds. Angels began to descend from the skies, their normally warm presence now cold and intimidating.
Adam looked down at the distressed woman in his arms, still buried in his chest. He brushed his fingers between her soft red locks, committing the feel of it into memory for this may be the last time he could do so.

Swap AU Part: 3
The tall grass swayed gently along the passing warm passing breeze, dancing like soft waves in a golden sea. The morning sun was still climbing up the clear skies, gradually brightening and warming up the garden. Adam was draped over a lion, both lazing about under the late morning sun, and both exhausted after a bout of rough housing. His limbs hang limply over the animal, his breathing was a little erratic, and there was a thin layer of sweat covering his body, giving it a subtle shine. Recently, Adam had been finding it difficult to have energy for himself, but lately, it seemed that Michaelâs visits had been slowly but surely helping him find that energy back. Today, he woke up feeling better than he had been in a long time, with a similar vigour that he once used to have, and with a few more hours before his shared lunch with Michael, Adam decided to wander back to places he had neglected since the Lucifer and Lilith thing. The savannah, as he had named it, was one of his favourite places to spend time in. From the long golden grass fields to oddly shaped plants with rarely blooming flowers, it was a place that used to always pique his interest. That, and also because it housed his favourite animal, the lion. Always looking so majestic and refined, but really, they were just as friendly and playful as the other inhabitants of the garden. Adam especially loved playing with them, their fur blending in with the tall grass made games with them much more challenging and fun.Â
Regaining some strength back in his limbs, Adam petted the lion, its soft fur easily giving way between his fingers. âI missed you,â he muttered as he snuggled into its fur.Â
The lion carefully tilted on its side before swiping the first man off its back, who let out a small yelp, and onto the ground beside it. It then began to eagerly rub its head onto Adamâs, almost drowning the first man with its affection.Â
âI see you missed me too,â Adam laughed while trying to hold back the onslaught of nuzzles with both hands.
âAdam.â
The voice sounded so familiar, yet something he hadnât heard of in a while. Still lying on the ground, Adam turned his head to look up at the source of the voice. Ah. No wonder he hadnât heard this voice in a while despite its familiarity, he had been avoiding the owner of the voice. Adam remained frozen on the ground as he stared wide eyed at Luciferâs anxious figure standing in front of him.Â
Lucifer played with his fingers as his eyes wandered back and forth between Adam and the ground. Guilt had been eating away at him this past few weeks, and while he knew his brother was looking after Adam, he still worried for his best friend. That, and his absence had made him realise just how much he enjoyed his company. âIâŚwould you be willing toââ
âNo.â Snapping out of his daze, Adam scurried behind the lion. â...sorry.â
That caused the tightness in his chest to become more painful. Lucifer had some disagreements with the first man before, but never this bad. He had never been rejected for as long as this. And he knew he deserved it, for having hurt his friend this badly, for having betrayed his trust. But he also wanted Lilithâs love. He may have gone about it the wrong way, but he didnât regret pursuing the first woman. Her love had completed him before he even realised he was missing a piece. Although, the aftermath had left him shattered. Lucifer looked towards the lion, where Adam had hidden his form.Â
âIâm really really sorry for hurting you Adam,â Lucifer pleaded. âIf thereâs anything I could do to make it up to you. Anything!â He tried to take a step forward, wanting to be closer and to see his friend, but the growl and the intense glare of the lion held him back.Â
No response.Â
Lucifer felt tears well up in his eyes, âI really messed up this time, huh?â. He wasnât about to give up though. Adam was still here, he hadnât run away yet, so he still had a chance. A chance to mend their relationship.Â
Just as he was about to say something, a hand grabbed at his shoulder, pulling him slightly away from Adam. Lucifer turned to check on the offender and was greeted by the face of his brother.
âLucifer, I donât think Adam wants to see you right now,â Michael stated as a matter-of-factly. The first man had been doing well lately, he wasnât going to allow Lucifer to undo that progress. And while he still didnât know what happened, it was obvious that the angel of creation was involved. Michael gave Lucifer a slight nod before heading towards Adam, the lionâs defensive posture easing a bit for Michael.
âThere you are,â Michael said, a gentle smile on his lips, as he rounded behind the lion. âI was looking for you. I thought we were having lunch together?â
Lucifer stood baffled. Was his brother, the leader of the heavenly host Michael, smiling? And that softly too? Also, since when did they eat lunch together? As far as he knew, Michael didnât even bother with Edenâs inhabitants, much less try its fruits. But what really baffled him, and made him burn up in jealousy, was when he saw a glimpse of Adam sit up from behind the lion as he desperately clung to Michaelâs kneeling form beside him as he whispered comforting words to him. How the first man seemed relieved and genuinely happy to see the angel. It used to be him in that spot. It used to be him that the first man clung to and had shared lunches with. It used to be him, always. But now it seemed that he got replaced.Â
Michael turned towards Luciferâs gloomy form, clearing his throat so as to catch his attention and drag him out of whatever thoughts plagued his mind, âWeâll be going then.â He spread out his wings, all six beautifully blue and white as wide as the cloudy sky. He held out his hand to the first man, âLetâs go.â
âYouâre taking me flying?!,â gasped Adam as he bounced on his feet, his mood quickly brightening up.Â
âOnly if you want to.â
âI would love to!â Adam quickly took the offered hand as he allowed Michael to hold him close.Â
âHold on tight.â And Adam did, wrapping himself around the angel. Before taking off, Michael gave Lucifer a final look, âSee you then.â Lucifer gave a small wave in return, his lips in a bitter smile. Then, Michael took Adam to the skies, and Lucifer was left alone in the grassfield.Â
Lucifer watched their figures fly away from him, getting smaller every second. In each of those seconds, his friend was getting further away from him, slowly being dragged away from his reach. He laughed bitterly, âI guess I got a taste of my own medicine, huh.â
â-
Adam closed his eyes when he felt the ground leaving his feet and the wind crashing on him. Despite having flown before, with Lucifer, some fear still lingered from being up so high, but the rush and the joy of being so high up overruled his fear of heights as usual. When he opened his eyes again, he was greeted with sights he had never seen before. They were so high up! Lucifer had never flown him this high before, so high up in the clouds. Out of instinct, Adam clung even tighter onto Michael.Â
Having noticed his tense grip, Michael slowed his flying as he patted Adamâs head. âAre you scared? Do you want to go back down?â
Adam shook his head, âNo. Itâs just that,â he turned to look around, one hand reaching out to touch a nearby cloud. âIâve never been so high up before.â His eyes glistened with wonder. He rubbed his fingertips, slightly wet from touching the cloud before he reached out again to grab a handful of it. The cool, barely there wetness of the water vapours in the cloud felt nice on his skin. How the clouds seemed solid until he made contact with it, quickly dissipating as tiny droplets on top of his skin. And the sights! Everything looked so small from where he was. Rivers and forests seemingly smaller than the palm of his hand. There werenât even any flying birds from where they were. It was like they had found a little spot in Eden no one knew of. Almost like a secret hideout.Â
Michael looked down on the human he held within his arms. It seemed that Adam was regaining his vigour back, the one he had heard about before his visits. His eyes shone brightly like twin pairs of suns, only it was somehow even brighter, as he took in all the new sights around him. And he had never seen the first man smile so widely before. It was always bitter smiles or small smiles that never seemed to be fully happy. But this smile. It looked so genuine and carefree, unburdened by lingering unpleasant thoughts. This look suited him much better.Â
âMichael,â Adam looked the angel in the eye. âThank you for picking me up. Really,â he said as he hugged the angel tightly, truly grateful for his presence.
Astounded, Michael remained still and silent for a moment, the flapping of his wings the only sound in the vast sky. How should he react to this? He didnât understand how this lanky, fragile human could bare himself open like this. To expose this kind of vulnerable affection. He wanted to correct him, tell him not to lay his weaknesses to predators so openly like that. But he didnât. Just like the space they were currently in, this moment felt private. A show of trust. And Michael wasnât one to break peopleâs trust. So, with awkward unsure hands, he carefully wrapped both hands over Adam, returning his hug.Â
Eventually, Michael flew them back down towards the lake where they usually met up. It was already past noon, and it was about time for Michael to return and assume his duties up in Heaven, but seeing Adamâs disappointed look when Michael was about to leave made the angel change his mind. He could stay a while longer. He kept up with his work, so a little tardiness shouldnât necessarily cause much backlog.
âSo, whatâs todayâs lunch?,â he asked.
At that question, Adam quickly looked up from the ground. Downcast eyes noticeably getting brighter as a smile returned to his face. âOh, well, I was going toâŚâ Adam paused, then let out a gasp before sighing disappointedly. âIâŚI left them back in the savannahâŚâ
âWhat does it look like?â
âTheyâre mangoes, but theyâre much smaller and green andâ,â Adam quickly stopped himself from saying more. It was supposed to be a surprise (or more like a prank).
âAnd..?,â Michael inquired, now curious.
âI canât say more. Itâll ruin the surprise,â replied Adam, a little mischievous lilt in his voice.Â
Michael cocked an eyebrow at that, âReally?â
Adam nodded, not willing to say more.
âAlright then, lead the way,â Michael clapped his hands decidedly.
âHuh?â
âLetâs go get our lunch together. Arenât you hungry?â
A smile formed on Adamâs lips. He couldnât help it, today was just a happy day it seemed. âAlright! Follow me then,â he said as he waved his hand, gesturing to the angel to follow behind. He couldnât wait for Michael to try the green mango.Â
â-
Adam sat on the ground with his legs crossed, body leaning forward towards Michael eagerly waiting for him to take a bite. Michael sat across from him, now a little sceptical about eating the fruit on his hands. Adam was always eager to share things about the garden, but he had never been this eager. Plus, he had that look in his eyes that didnât look so innocent.Â
âArenât you eating first?,â Michael asked.
âNono, you go ahead!,â Adam grinned.Â
That spelt bad news. Michael turned the fruit in his hands, it felt nice and firm, just like many of the gardenâs fruits. He brought it closer to his face. It didnât smell particularly odd, and it looked just like a mango, except smaller and slightly green. Oh well. It was a fruit grown in Eden, what could go wrong? He bit into the fruitâs crunchy flesh expecting a similar juiciness and sweetness from a regular mango, but was instead met with a dry and shocking taste of extreme sourness. Michael pulled the fruit away from his mouth, still surprised at the invasive flavour that invaded his taste buds. The sound of suppressed laughter brought him out of his stupor.Â
Adam could feel tears form in his eyes as he tried to hold back his laughter. Michaelâs scrunched up face was just too funny to see, and then his bewildered look after like he didnât understand what he just bit into was the cherry on top.Â
âHaha, you shouldâve seen your face!,â Adam laughed, unable to hold it back anymore. âI think that was the funniest face Iâve ever seen.â
A yellow tint covered most of Michael's quickly heating up face. To think that he had been fooled and then made fun of by this silly human. Normally pranks didnât affect him, or at most they annoyed him slightly, but a smile somehow managed to creep up on his face. He supposed it was a little funny, though Adam might have to be more careful from now on.

Part 4
Time Travel AU Part: 11
A darkness loomed over Eden. Its once clear bright skies were now replaced with dark clouds that swirled in the gloomy sky. Heavenâs portal opened itself with a thunderous boom that echoed throughout the garden. A blinding light appeared from the centre of the swirling clouds, and dark silhouettes of fast descending angels quickly came into view. Their bodies glowing like freezing fire, their presence cold and far away, and eyesâŚpenetrating eyes that burned through the skin and into oneâs bones. The angels were not here for a mere visit.
A flash of white-blue wings pierced through the air and into the scene of the incident. Michael landed in front of Adam and Eve, all six wings widely spread out, halo burning in holy fire. He had felt corruption and evil seep and bury its twisted roots within the garden of Eden, and rushed towards where he felt the source was. For once, he had hoped he was wrong, but half eaten fruit that laid on the ground near the two humans proved him otherwise.Â
âW-what happened?,â he asked in disbelief.Â
âThe second woman, Eve, had ignored her husbandâs warning and thus, broken Godâs rule,â Sera stated as she landed gracefully beside Michael, looking down on Eveâs trembling form still under Adamâs arms. âShe had released evil into the world.â
Michael crouched in front of both Adam and Eve, and softly asked, âWhy Eve? How could you do such a thing?â
Just then a struggling Lilith was brought out from the trees, hands held behind her back by an angel.Â
âWe found her disguised as a snake, running towards the garden entrance.â
Another angel had cast a spell to track Lilithâs partner in this crime. Golden dust quickly spread from the angel and outwards to the rest of the garden. The spell hit something within the branches of the tree of knowledge, and a winged serpent with a silent presence was forcibly returned to its original form, an angel with red and white wings known for their mischievous nature. Lucifer fell to the ground, his disguise ruined.
âEve had been tricked into eating the fruit by Lucifer,â Adam answered Michael. âLilith disguised herself as Lucifer to distract and keep me away from Eve as Lucifer tricked her. I tried to stop Eve, but I was too late.â Adam looked at Michael with tearful eyes as he kept his hold on Eve, who remained quiet as she hid in Adamâs comforting embrace, despite trembling himself.Â
Lucifer stood up from where he fell, all six wings flaring defensively. âAll we tried to do was give her knowledge and free will!â He then turned to Adam, finger accusingly pointing at him. âWe only did that because Adam cannot be trusted! He hides it well from the rest of you, but Iâve observed him and he is far from innocent. Iâve seen him teach Eve terrible things such as the killing of animals. We only wanted to save Eve!â. He gasped for breath as his eyes scanned the angels that surrounded him. They remained silent, but their eyes showed a lack of faith. He then turned to Michael. Their personalities were quite different, and they clashed a few times before, but they were brothers and they knew each other well. Michael should know that he wouldnât lie about things such as this, that this wasnât another one of his tricks.
âMichael, youâve spent some time with them. Surely, youâve noticed Adamâs behaviour too?,â he asked with pleading eyes, hoping that he would believe him.
âYou said youâve observed Adam?,â asked Michael, his tone even.
âYes? I told you I saw him corrupting Eveâs mind,â Lucifer answered.
âThen that means you were sneaking into the garden all this time despite being banished.â Michael narrowed his eyes at Lucifer, his cold blue gaze freezing him on his spot. âIt seems like this was premeditated.â
âWhat? Thatâs not the point! Iâ ack!â Lucifer fell to his knees as chains wrapped around his limbs and his neck, bringing him close to the ground.
âYouâve been sneaking into the garden for an unknown amount of time, cooking up your wicked plans and dragged the first woman to go along with it, and yet, you point your finger towards the first man?,â Michael questioned Lucifer as he stood above his defeated form. How dare Lucifer spread such ridiculous lies about Adam when the man had been nothing but remain obedient towards Heaven? Yes, it was true he had been visiting Eden frequently as of late, and Adam was anything but malicious.
The look on Michaelâs face was of anger and disappointment, but mostly anger. Anger at his brotherâs audacity and actions. âWasnât it enough that you had taken his first wife?,â he continued. âNow, you ruin his second, release evil into the world, and then spread lies about Adam. When is it ever enough, Lucifer? Whatâs your goal here?â
Hope all but drained from Luciferâs already pale face. He couldnât believe it. His straight-laced brother who was always the voice of reason was completely blinded by Adamâs lies and pretend innocence. In the background, he could see Adamâs figure just behind Michael. Their eyes met briefly, no words exchanged between them, but the message was sent. Realisation crashing at him hard like gigantic waves in a stormy ocean. Adam had purposely been appealing to Michael. All those times he had seen him spend time with his brother. It wasnât just to drive Lucifer away from him, to stop him collecting evidence. It was also his way of slowly securing his spot in Michaelâs heart. Lucifer realised too late. He had lost his brother to Adam. He once again did a quick sweep of the angels that surrounded him. This time, he saw it clearly. None of them were on his side. Not even his brother.
âYou all have heard Michael,â Sera interrupted. âYour claims are unfounded Lucifer. The results of your actions, however, are very much real.â
A cold heavenly glow then engulfed the seraphim, her tall figure a pillar of absolute authority amongst the crowd. âAs High Seraphim of Heaven and by the authority bestowed upon me, Lucifer, I strip you of your status as an angel. Angels are the righteous followers of God, which you clearly are not.â The glow around her shone even brighter, almost blinding. Her six wings spread out magnificently as she brought down judgement, âYou will be exiled to the burning pit that you have caused to be formed.â She then turned to Lilith, piercing gaze softening slightly, her wrath simmering a little in consideration of her human nature, but still present. âLilith, for being his willing accomplice, shall join Lucifer to burn in the dark pit where you can only ever witness the dark side of life that you have released and none of the good that you have betrayed.â
A coldness washed over Lucifer. The reality of the situation dragging him to dark depths he didnât know even ever existed. Many thoughts and feelings all at once hurled at him, drowning him in a sea of confusion and disbelief. Was this really happening? How was it even possible? He was one of Godâs most favoured angels! There was no way this could be real. Snapping out of his shock, Lucifer began to struggle, unwilling to relent to their judgement. Theyâve all gone blind. But despite his efforts, the chains remained unyielding and instead became shorter, its grip on him tighter. The chains forced him to fall on the ground, his back exposed to the air. A set of footsteps approached his prone form, and panic swallowed him whole once he heard the sound of a sword being unsheathed in front of him. His struggles intensified, and he could hear Lilith on the side yelling for them to stop. But they werenât stopping. The presence of the cold blade inched closer and closer.
Someone grasped the base of his wings, holding its trembling and struggles still. âPlease donât make this any harder than it needs to be. It will only hurt more if you struggle.â
With his face pressed to the ground, Lucifer couldnât see who held the sword to his wings. But that voice. That seemingly apologetic tone belonged to someone who he thought was the voice reason. Someone who was always willing to listen to both sides. But it seemed that Lucifer was mistaken. Michael was just another one of Heavenâs dogs.
With a sharp inhale as his only warning, Lucifer felt the biting pain of his wings being separated from his being one by one. Michael tried to be swift with it, but there was no reducing the anguish of oneâs nature being separated from itself. The pain burned through the stubs of what his wings used to be, seeping through his bones and spreading throughout his body, leaving Lucifer gasping and crying helplessly on the ground. There was nothing to catch his fall now.
The angels watched in stunned silence. No one had ever had their wings cut before. It was such an integral part of an angelâs being. Others look on, nodding their heads in agreement, while others look away, unable to bear the sight of their former companion writhing in unimaginable pain. With most of the angels stupefied, Lilith managed to slip free from the grasp of the angel holding her and rushed to her belovedâs side. His robes were stained and soaked golden, his breathing erratic and shallow, but he was alive. Lilith protectively wrapped her arms around Lucifer, careful not to agitate the wounds fresh on his back.Â
âYouâ! How could all of you do this to your kind?!,â she shouted at the angels. âYou say humans are perfect, and yet Iâve been banished for my choice. You claimed Lucifer to be one of you, and yet you refuse to entertain anything he says. Youâre all just liars, blinded by your own ego! Thereâs no freedom here. Be it in Eden or Heaven.â
The earth began to rumble, and soon cracks formed on the ground beneath the accused lovers. Heat seeped through the soil as the ground began to soften as it gradually caved down. Lucifer managed to look up, the chains on his limbs no longer holding him down.Â
âMichael, please..!,â he sobbed. Tears flowed freely from his eyes as desperation and fear flooded his being. He didnât know precisely what would happen, but he knew there was no turning back if it did.Â
Michael was angry at both Lucifer and Lilith, sure, but that didnât mean he wanted this to happen to them. To see his own brother broken like this, and done so by his own two hands, it hurt and filled him with guilt, but Lucifer and Lilithâs actions were not something that could be forgiven. To disrespect God in such a way was an unforgivable sin. So, he turned his head away from them, unable to look at them anymore for it would burn him up.Â
âIâm sorry Lucifer, but Heaven is done being lenient with you.â
The ground caved in even more, slowly sinking further in heated depths. Lilith held onto Lucifer, heartbroken by his brotherâs betrayal. Fear settled in both of their hearts, grasping it and choking it, intending to leave a permanent scar. For a brief moment Lucifer locked eyes with Adam, who was still seated on the ground with Eve in his arms. Molten gold eyes that seemed to melt through his very being, threatening to swallow him whole. Adam tilted his head towards Eveâs enacting a loving embrace. His smirk all but gleeful at Luciferâs imminent downfall. Deja vu struck Lucifer. It was just like back then, at the gates of Eden. Adam acted all smug, no signs of fear or confusion on his face as if he knew what would happen all along.Â
Adam mouthed silently at Lucifer, âI guess you lose. Again.â
Before Lucifer could fully register his words, a great rumbling shook Eden once more and the ground beneath both him and Lilith opened up devouring the two of them towards their hellish fate. Their screams filled the air and echoed in the burning abyss down below until the ground closed up, sealing the two loverâs fate.Â
âNow, Eve.â

Swap AU Part: 4
[One last update before I no longer have free time aaahhh]
It was yet another perfect day in Eden. Bright blue skies spotted with fluffy white clouds, midday rays warming up the inhabitants of the garden. Michael sat on a rock by the lake basking in the sunâs relaxing warmth, his lunch for today in a small woven basket beside him. The basket was filled with mangoes. Yellow mangoes. The soft, sweet and juicy kind, not those sour green ones Adam had given him before. Ever since Adamâs little trick on him, Michael had become more careful and observant of the fruits Adam offered him. He actually found it quite interesting to learn about the plants in the garden. To think that there were multiple variations of the same fruit, each differing in texture, smell and flavour. How despite their similarities, some require widely different conditions in order to grow and flourish. He was starting to see why Lucifer was always eager to explore the garden.Â
Michael bit into the ripe mango he was holding, its sweet juices a pleasant wash on his taste buds. The food in Eden was good and unique in its own ways, the environment had this atmosphere that seemed to always drain stress and fatigue away, and the animals were all so beautiful and playful. Those things made Eden a place worth visiting, but⌠Michael looked on towards the lake, loud splashes and carefree laughter could be heard not too far from him. Somehow, Adam had managed to drag a lion in the lake to play with him and the fishes. Michael let out a small chuckle at the absurdity of the scene in front of him. The first manâs sunny and adventurous disposition, including his mischievous antics, had certainly caused the angel to become quite fond of him. The garden itself was definitely something worth visiting, but Adam kept him coming back.Â
Heavy wet fur dragged itself across the lake towards the rock Michael was on. He could hear Adamâs whines begging the feline to stay longer in the water with him as he clung onto it, his weight of no effect to the large, clearly fed up, animal. Michael scooched away from the approaching pair, careful not to wet his robes, as they approached the rock. The lion dropped Adam onto the rock before it dragged itself towards the grass to shake the water off its coat. For all his whining and begging the lion to stay in the water, Adam himself looked exhausted as he remained prone on his spot, limp and barely moving. Michael poked his head with a mango and Adam turned his head to face the angel.
âPeel it for me?,â Adam asked using his, as he called it, âpuppy dog eyesâ.
How bold. The first man had been becoming more and more brazen towards him these past few days, though Michael hadnât put much effort to prevent it. He couldnât help it, he had come to care for this fragile human. And so, he peeled the mango before handing it over to Adam, who simply opened his mouth as he continued lying on the rock.Â
Michael paused, pulling the fruit away. âAdam, youâre not a baby.â
âBut Iâm tiiiired,â whined Adam. âI canât move my limbs.â
Michael simply looked at him with an unsmiling, blank face before slowly moving the mango towards his mouth ready to take a bite.
âAh noo!,â Adam suddenly got up from his spot, one hand reaching out for the mango.
âSee?,â Michael said as he stopped himself from eating the fruit and placed it on Adam's hand. âYouâre not that tired.â
Adam took the fruit placed in his hands a small pout on his lips. âHow merciless,â he huffed.Â
âYes yes, Iâm Michael the merciless warrior of God,â Michael smiled.Â
The smile on his face quickly faded though, once a thought crossed his mind. Back up in Heaven, he remembered overhearing some angelsâ talk about their concerns about Adam and Lilithâs progress. How they had waited so long, and yet, they had nothing to show for it.Â
âHow long has it been?,â one angel asked.
âToo long as far as I know,â another answered.Â
âI think I heard they donât even get along well.â
âAt this point, we might as well consider it a failure.â
Michael frowned. There was no way someone like Adam was a failure. True, his relationship with Lilith was rocky at best, and he had been having some difficulties, but Michael was sure it was something that could be mended in due time. In fact, Adam was already doing way better than when he first took the duty to care for him. Still, he supposed it wouldnât hurt to give the first man a little push. Just to ease the concerns up in Heaven.Â
Michael cleared his throat, requesting Adamâs attention. âAdam, I know I said I wouldnât force you to tell me anything but,â he inched a little closer to the human. âHeaven is a little concerned about humanityâs progress.â
The way Adam shifted and looked away from him told him that the man still wasnât willing to tell him anything. What could it be that he was so adamant to keep quiet about?
âIf you divulge to me what caused your rift with Lilith, then I might be able to help,â he continued. âOnly if you wish of course.â
After a few moments of silence, Adam finally turned to face him, but still not looking into his eyes. Instead he focused on the mango on his hand, fiddling with it. He took a peek at Michael, who tried to make himself look as benign as possible. The angel had been nothing but kind to him, and so far had kept his words, evident by his continued visits and lack of other angels prying into his business. With a deep sigh, he finally spoke, âYou have to promise not to tell anyone.â
âI promise,â Michael quickly answered.
Adam turned his whole body to face the angel fully, his golden eyes hardened with seriousness. âNot like that. You have to truly promise! Swear that you wonât tell anyone else!â
Had Michael been negligent? Was it actually more serious than he initially thought? Now he was unsure if he had handled the situation properly. He knew he shouldnât agree to Adamâs terms. If it was something important, then Heaven had to be informed. It was just the way things were.
Sensing his reluctance, Adam sat back down away from Michael, a frown on his face. âOtherwise, I wonât tell you anything.â
Well, he couldnât have that. But to keep some things hidden from Heaven didnât sit well with him. It almost felt like going behind their back in some way. He leaned back a bit, a hand on his chin, blue eyes in an ocean of thoughts. If he thought carefully about it⌠He was part of Heaven, one of its highest ranking angels, in fact. So if Adam talked to him about it, it would just be like telling Heaven about it. He was also involved in this Eden project, he had authority, the only difference would be that not everyone would know. And they didnât have to. Yeah, that still sounded wrong to the upright angel. But, if he could solve it, then the others wouldnât even need to know. Michael nodded to himself, trying very hard to convince himself to agree to Adamâs terms.Â
Having convinced himself, Michael focused back on Adam. He hoped he wouldnât regret this decision. With a hand over his chest, he finally responded, âAlright. I swear as an angel that I wonât reveal to anyone else what you are about to tell me.â
Adam let out a sigh of relief, his body visibly relaxing as he let his previous unease drain away. He was glad that Michael was willing to compromise for him. With a deep breath, he finally revealed what he had been holding back, âLilith and Lucifer areâŚtogether.â
âŚ
âWhat?âÂ
Did Michael hear him wrong? Did he just hear Adam say that his brother was with the first woman?
Adam shifted awkwardly on his seat. âThey admitted it to me,â he continued with a bit of difficulty. His voice trembled a little, after having spent time away from them, he thought he would find it easier to digest, but apparently not. He had come to terms with it in his mind, but talking about it out loud was a different ordeal. His throat felt dry and it was as if there was a lump in his throat. Still, he managed to continue, âThatâs why I couldnât bear to be with them anymore.â
To say that he was shocked would be an understatement. Michael appalled. His very own brother, the one who was supposed to be the main caretaker of the garden and its inhabitants, the one who was supposed to guide the first humans, was also the one to have brought ruin to their relationship. This was not something to be taken lightly. Lucifer had committed a transgression towards Heaven.Â
âAdam, this canât continue. They cannot get away with infidelity. They must face the consequences,â Michael told Adam as he got ready to confront both Lucifer and Lilith.Â
âNo!,â Adam exclaimed. His hands were immediately on the angelâs shoulders urging him to back down. âYou promised!â
âI promised not to tell anyone, but I can still give out their punishment myself,â Michael stated.Â
âMichael, please.â Adam looked at him with desperate sad eyes that looked about to burst. âTheyâve hurt me, I know, but I still care for them,â he paused, taking one of Michaelâs hands into his, grasping it firmly as he begged for both Lucifer and Lilithâs well being. âI donât wish harm on them.â
Michael looked down on the tanned hands that desperately grasped onto his. Now what? With Lucifer in the picture, humanity couldnât really progress from here. He could just ignore Adamâs pleading and punish both Lucifer and Lilith, maybe even salvage the project in the process. But he couldnât just do that, could he? Adamâs hands still held Michaelâs, still trying to stop the mighty angel, knowing fully well that he couldnât do anything if Michael decided to go anyway. How could his heart ache for those who have betrayed him like that? Where did he find the space in his heart to still worry for them? Again, this was something Michael would like to correct Adam about. It was great to be kind as one should be, but that didnât mean you should allow others to escape the consequences of their misdeeds. Adam was kind, too kind to the point that it was blinding him. But then it seemed that Michael himself was also too kind to Adam, and was willing to be blind this time.Â
He didnât know what to do, but perhaps all of Heaven would soon notice the obvious lack of progress in Eden and come up with a solution themselves. He supposed he could justâŚwait it out.Â
Michael took a deep breath in, and then a deep breath out. He really truly didnât want to do this butâŚhe had been blinded.Â
âDo you know how long they had been going behind your back?,â Michael asked.
Adam looked up from where he still held the angelâs hand, a little confused by the sudden change. âUmâŚf-for about half a year.â
Michael winced. How cruel. To do that to someone so innocent. âOnce I see Lucifer againâŚâ Michael thought to himself. While he would spare Lucifer punishment, that didnât mean he wouldnât confront him about what he did. He was being too kind already.
âWell, since I already know, do you want to talk about it?â
âUm.â
âJust what youâre willing to share.â
Adam nodded at that. And so, he spilled his heart out to Michael. How he was trying so hard to fix his relationship with Lilith and how Lucifer seemed willing to help, only for the two of them to reveal their betrayal the following day. How he felt that all those moments he spent with them in those six months they were going behind his back felt like a lie. How his friendship with Lucifer didnât feel real anymore.Â
âSometimes, I wonder, was I the problem?,â Adam sniffled. âWas something wrong with me? Lilith never seemed to truly like me, while even someone as nice as Lucifer still deceived me.â He was told on the day he was made that he was Godâs most perfect creation, but sometimes he didnât think it was true.Â
Michael stretched out his wings and covered Adam with them, pushing the first man towards him in a comforting hug. The coolness of his wings were a solace to Adamâs pain like a protective shield against any further heartache. It was difficult for Michael to comfort someone, he wasnât exactly the best when it came to these kinds of situations. Oftentimes, he wasnât sure what to do and simply asked others to help him out or to do it in his stead. But Adam had no one else to seek comfort from except Michael, so despite being unsure of what to do, he would try his best anyway.Â
âHow could there be something wrong with you?,â he said as he gazed sincerely into Adamâs beautiful golden eyes. âYou have done nothing but followed Godâs commands. You remain pure and perfect, still Godâs most perfect creation, alright?â
Adam didnât know what it was. Whether it was the soft embrace of Michaelâs wings around him or the way streaks of sunlight peeked through the feathers, shining speckles of golden light on the angelâs handsome face under the darkness of their cover. But for a brief moment, he could feel his own heart beating erratically as it pumped blood towards his face, warming it up. Adam quickly turned away, his cheeks flushed pink. Why was he nervous so suddenly?Â
With his face still turned away, Adam nodded, âA-alright, thank you.â He turned his face slightly to glimpse at Michael. With an earnest smile on his lips, he continued, âReally. Thank you for listening to me. Itâs like youâve lifted a heavy burden off my shoulders.â
âIâm glad to help, and Iâll always be glad to help.â Seeing Adam so relieved and happy like this filled Michael with contentment. He supposed it was worth postponing Lucifer and Lilithâs punishment if it resulted in easing Adamâs burdens.

Time Travel AU Part: 12
[Gotta be honest, I struggled to write this chapter. The creative juices just wasn't flowing đŤ¤. Also might have been half asleep while writing this.]
âNow, Eve.â
Sera directed the attention to the distressed woman still in Adamâs embrace. Fear, guilt and shame all flooded her recently reformed and fragile mind. She folded into herself, afraid to face the new reality she had subjected herself into.
âFor disregarding the warnings given to you by eating the only fruit forbidden to you, you have caused evil to be released into the world,â Sera announced as she stepped closer to Eve. âYou are to be expelled from paradise and must work the ground for your food. Blisters will form on your hands, your legs will be permeated with fatigue.â She stopped just in front of the woman, her eyes softening up a little as she looked down at the trembling woman. Eveâs cries a loud echo in the silence of the garden, her despair a suffocating blanket that pervaded the air.
âHowever, you will not be alone to face this hardship,â Sera continued, her words careful and slow this time. âYou will be given a companion, made from a part of you.â This time, Eve looked up from Adamâs chest, puffy red eyes wide with shock and confusion.Â
âWhat? Why?,â Eve asked in a trembling voice.
âHeaven refuses to make another human from Edenâs soil only to become corrupted with sin, nor are we willing to send Adam out with you as he had remained pure and free of sin,â Sera answered in a blunt and absolute manner, leaving no room for arguments.Â
But Eve didnât care. Sera could dangle her authority over her all she wanted, but Eve wasnât going to just allow them to separate her from her husband like that! At least not without resisting.
âBut Adam is my husband,â she tried to argue. âI was made from him to become his wife. I am, quite truly, a part of him. Weâre meant for each other, made for each other. You canât separate us!â
Murmurs quickly spread amongst the angels gathered around the two humans. A palpable sense of indecision filled the air as others were convinced by Eveâs reasoning, finding it to be sound, while some remained steadfast in their initial judgement, preferring to secure their only remaining untainted human. Sera herself seemed to be a little less confident in her initial decree.Â
Sera decided to consult the opinion of one of her and Heavenâs most respected archangels, Michael. He was always of sound mind and saw things fairly. Plus, other than Lucifer, he had the most knowledge about the garden and the humans in it. If he deemed Adam and Eve inseparable, then she would trust his judgement. While the other angels discussed amongst themselves, Sera quietly asked the archangel, âWhat do you think, Michael? Should we allow Adam to leave with Eve?â
The question hit Michael like a storm. Conflict occupied his mind, whirling scattered thoughts around. What did he think? Normally, Michael prided himself to be fair and just, unwilling to let biases cloud his judgement, but⌠All he could think of right now was that he didnât want Adam to leave because that meant he wouldnât be able to spend time with Adam anymore. He wanted him to stay in the garden with him. But the idea of being the cause of Adam and Eveâs separation, the separation of husband and wife, didnât sit well with him at all. He felt like heâd just be doing what Lucifer did, except this time he would be keeping Adam away from Eve.Â
After he gave it some more thought, his conflicting feelings clashing against each other, he finally answered, âHow about we let Adam decide?âÂ
Though the words that left his mouth gave Adam the freedom of choice, his mind secretly hoped that Adam would choose to stay. I donât want him to suffer a difficult life. The world outside of Eden was dangerous and difficult and he had come to think of the first man as a precious friend. Although deep down, his heart knew why he truly wanted Adam to stay, despite having smothered the thoughts and convincing himself otherwise. Of course, he cared for Eve as well, but there was no changing her fate. Adamâs fate on the other hand, was not yet sealed.Â
âEveryone,â Seraâs voice rang across the still debating crowd. âWe will let Adam choose instead.â She then faced Adam, her brows slightly furrowed, lips in a thin line, a serious look in her silvery eyes. âAdam, do you wish to leave the garden and be with your wife? Think about it carefully.â
Eve turned to Adam, dishevelled red hair that stuck to her face, tearful blue eyes full of worry as she grasped both of his hands tightly. A silent plea for her husband to not leave her side. Adam looked down at the small soft hands that desperately latched onto his. It was a sad sight really, heart breaking even. In another life, he had suffered and endured earthly life with her for almost a millennia. He had starved with her, gotten sick with her and watched their children die with her. He had also explored the new world with her, created new things with her and raised their children with her. But that was another life. And that life was already over. Ever since he woke up in this new life, he already knew what his choice would be. He made up his mind a long time ago, and it wasnât bound to change now.Â
Adam kept his gaze down at his hands grasped by Eve, eyes completely unreadable. He sighed to himself, he wouldâve preferred to not have Eve kicked out, but what was done was done. Well, hereâs to one last pretend. Adam blinked a few times before looking Eve straight in the eyes with a sincere, but saddened look.Â
He squeezed Eveâs hand, firmly but not too hard. With a wistful smile plastered on his face, he said, âEve, I care for you deeply and I love you as my wife. Every moment with you was irreplaceable, and I want us to remain togetherâŚâ Adam looked away and back down at their still connected hands. âBut Eden is where I am closest to God, and I cannot imagine living without his light.â Eveâs hand trembled in his as tears fell onto his skin. âIâm sorry, but please understand this wasnât an easy choice.â
Eve pulled her hands away from Adam, resting them over her chest. Betrayal invaded her whole being and tears started to flow freely from her rainy blue eyes as she let the sorrow that pierced her heart spill out. Her husband, Adam, had been nothing but loving to her since the first time they met under a tree. When he cried happy tears for her, the warmest smile on his lips. How did it end up like this? For him to suddenly be willing to abandon her when they had been inseparable since the beginning. Amongst the sorrow and disbelief, there was also hurt and a spark of anger amongst other things, all vying to escape and make itself known to the world outside. But those chaotic feelings she just had to accept, having deserved this outcome for having betrayed her husband first, though she hadnât meant to. Eve shut her eyes tight, hoping that once she opened them again, she would find herself under Eden's twinkling night sky lying beside a peacefully sleeping Adam. But when she opened them again, all she saw was that she was alone this time.
â-
The reddening rays of the setting sun reflected off the grand gates of Eden giving it a soft golden glow. It would have been an inviting sight if it were not for the fact that Eve was going to pass through it with no hope of turning back. Eve stood just in front of it, sunken eyes staring at it with blank sorrow.Â
Sera placed a cool hand on one of Eveâs shoulders. âWhile we would no longer visit you like we did before, know that God has not abandoned you.â She gently squeezed Eveâs shoulder in an attempt to give her some semblance of comfort and hope. Though corrupted, there was still hope that the second womanâs soul could be saved so long as she lived the rest of her life outside Eden as righteously as possible.
Eve shifted her gaze from Edenâs gates back towards the garden to give a final look to her first home and her first love. Adam opened his arms towards her in a final embrace and she swiftly took it. Her eyes dampened once more, but she had shed enough tears for today. From now on, she had no choice but to be stronger, not for anyone but for herself. The softness of his flawless skin, his warm earthy smell that always relaxed her, his silky brown locks she loved to comb with her fingers, and his lustrous golden eyes that were more beautiful than anything she had ever seen. Eve burned all of these sensations in her mind, to keep as precious memories for eternity. A soft kiss on her head and doleful eyes told her that it was time to go.Â
âFarewell.â
Adam watched Eveâs form go through Edenâs gate until it had completely swallowed her, dooming her to a harsh life on Earth. It might just be the last time heâd ever see her. Did he change anything by preventing her from swallowing the apple? Was her soul at least salvageable this time? He hoped so, though he wouldnât really know until much later. Still, he hoped. For old times sake.Â
Though his eyes were dry, the gloom in them was quite real this time. He knew there was a very high chance that this would still happen and he had prepared himself for this moment; steeled his resolve not to leave with her. And while this was a different life now, and he had long ago moved from his love, in a way, the person that just left was still Eve. He had cared for her in his past life as she had for him, and some of that care still lingered even into this life. She was just that special he supposed.Â
There had never been such a day in Eden. Dark grey clouds threatening to cry, animals silenced in lament, plants dulled and without their usual flourishing vibrance. Somehow all of these reflected in Adamâs eyes. The funeral of happier times. And Michael was one of the mourners. He had scrubbed his hands clean so many times already today that somehow it seemed to have gotten paler, bits of skin peeling off. Yet somehow, it still felt wet and warm and stained golden. Never would he have thought to ever witness that much angel blood, and for him to be the one to have spilt it. This was what it meant to be Godâs sword, to be the hand that cuts down the wicked. He knew that, but still, this was something he never could have prepared for, and hoped not to ever need to prepare for.Â
Michael stood beside Adam, both attendees to this funeral. A funeral of letting go of a loved one and being painted as a traitor in their eyes. Though he hated having to acknowledge it, there was a noticeable part inside of Michael that felt relief at Adamâs decision to remain in the garden. He hated it. Finding some sort of silver lining at Eveâs departure when it had clearly hurt Adam. This was simply another thing he had to keep to himself.Â
Two attendees at today's funeral. Michael spread out his wings, letting one side drape over Adam. Mourners might as well stick together.Â
âItâs okay, just let it out,â Michael spoke softly.
Adamâs lips quivered and silent tears rolled down his cheeks. Just this one instance he would lower down his walls. The wings draped around him gently pressed and directed his head to lean onto the angel, and Adam allowed him to.Â
A pat on the back and the warm embrace of soft wings were Michaelâs attempt to comfort the human beside him. He had seen the human upset before, like when Lilith first left him and he was alone in the garden, but he had never seen him cry. Michael leaned back his head towards Adamâs and whispered a promise he made long ago. The promise of companionship.
âThey may have left, but I promise to remain with you.â
Adam chuckled bitterly to himself. This wasnât what he truly wanted to gain when first woke back up in the garden. All he wanted was to remain in Eden and live the life that he was always meant to live. But whatever. It felt nice, Michaelâs presence actually a solace to him. And so he let the moment continue.
Part 11
Part 13
Aahh, I love this! Lilith is so terrifying here. Good thing Michael is there for Adam.
Part 4 of Alone in Eden. Make sure to read 1, 2, and 3 before reading this. Guitarhero!
Adam was still in shock when Michael took him into his arms. He felt safe there and comfortable. Half his face hurt from where Lilith grabbed him and Michael had looked over him worriedly, tracing parts of his face.
Lilith and Lucifer were bound in chains before the Angelic choir and the Lord himself. Adam had only seen Him once when he was created. While He had a stern expression, His eyes held a kindness he instinctively knew was genuine despite having never experienced kindness.
"Father, Adam's face is bruised," Michael said angrily as he held a numb Adam. "Lucifer and Lilith have eaten the Fruit of Good and Evil. And they celebrated their rebellion by fornicating under the tree itself. Furthermore, when Adam caught them in the act, they chased him down. If I hadn't come to Adam's aid, who knows what they would have done to him?"
Lucifer and Lilith yelled through their gags, thrashing and glaring at all of them. Adam couldn't bear to look at them so he hid himself away, burying his face into Michael's robe.
For a long time, the Lord looked down at Lilith and Lucifer. His once favorite angel looked scared while Lilith glared defiantly. He nodded, as if coming to a decision.
"How dare you disobey me." It wasn't a question. It was a statement that made Adam shiver. "I give you life. I give you immortality. I give you no fear, death, or pain. And this is how you repay me? You selfish creatures."
The Lord stood before them, everyone could feel his anger and disappointment, and yet he remained calm outwardly. Like the two before him weren't worth losing his temper over.
"It appears I was far too lenient with you, Samael. Or do you still try to use the name you gave yourself to feel more important?" The Lord cocked His head. "It does not matter. I gave you too much freedom and you use it to corrupt my creation. You introduced her to Knowledge she wasn't ready for. Fools."
Now Lilith was shaking despite her glare. Lucifer looked like he was ready to pass out. "If you would have listened to me, Lilith and Adam would have been given that Knowledge when I deemed them ready. When they were done developing. Instead, you gave her something she wasn't ready for and it has already corrupted her."
Lilith spat out the gag, ready to yell most likely, and yet the Lord simply waved His hand. Suddenly, any sound she tried to produce didn't come out. Her eyes grew wide and terrified. To have such a vital part taken away on a whim...Adam bit his lip as Micheal gently stroked his back and neck.
"You talk far too much when you should be listening." The Lord said. He seemed to grow. "I know what you planned to do with Adam if Michael hadn't gotten to him in time." This time, Lilith looked like she was ready to pass out from fear. "You're lucky my son did come or your punishment would have been tenfold."
The Lord looked furious and yet He still didn't yell. Adam supposed He didn't need to. "Now, for the consequences. Samael, or should I say Lucifer, for disobeying Me, for corrupting The First Woman, and for standing by and letting Lilith hurt Adam, you will be banished from Heaven and Eden. You will no longer be allowed to step into its golden gates nor gaze upon what used to be home. You will forever wander the Earth for eternity with no contact with any other angel for they will attack you on sight." Lucifer glared up at his Father but didn't say anything.
"Lilith. For eating the fruit, for disobeying Me, for trying to hurt Adam, and what you've thought of doing to any of the children you bared with Adam, you will also be banished from Eden. You will forever wander the Earth but it won't be for eternity. Instead of being immortal like you were given, I strip that away. You will grow old. You will become weak over the years and eventually, you will die." Suddenly, Lilith shook as a large hand went to her stomach. "You will also never be able to have children. I will not let you try to bash any child's head in, even if that child is a bastard."
Lilith would have done what to their children?! Adam knew she didn't like the idea of having a child with him but to...to...Adam couldn't even finish the thought. He didn't realize he was crying.
The Lord turned from them to Michael. "Send them off." And He was gone like He was never there.
Adam felt himself grow sleepy as if he wereâhe didn't even finish that thought as he was put to sleep in Michael's arms. The Archangel handed Adam to Gabriel where he whisked him to the safety of Eden. Michael drew his sword with a glare and walked forward to the rebels.
Lucifer looked at Michael and spat out his gag. "Michael, pleaseâ" The Archangel slapped him in the face. "How dare you beg for mercy when Adam did as well and you refused? You're a coward, Lucifer. Our Father was right. We were all too lenient with you and your rebellious ways. I even started calling you Lucifer instead of your given name, Samael. I made every excuse in the book for you. But no longer." He raised his sword and opened a portal to a barren land.
"I hope whatever you have with the whore here was worth it, Lucifer. Enjoy her while you still have her." Lilith must have been given her voice back because they both screamed obscenities as they were shoved out. Michael sighed as the portal closed and he sheathed his sword.
XxX
Adam woke up to something warm and comfortable surrounding him. He looked up and saw Michael looking down at him with a small but genuine smile that made the First Man's stomach fill with butterflies.
The only thing he could say was, "You came for me." Because Michael had promised he would come and he did.
"Of course I did, Adam. I will always come for you."
(For anyone wanting confirmation, yes, Lilith planned on murdering any child she gave birth to that belonged to Adam and she had planned on killing Adam ro keep her secret with Lucifer.)
In the Time Travel AU, would Adam be on the bottom or is this more of a switch situation?
So, I'm actually an exclusively bottom Adam enjoyer. But for this au, I'm not sure if it matters too much since I'm still undecided if I'll write anything explicit. Not because I don't want to write it, but because I've no experience at all đĽ˛.
I do have a scene in later chapters where it would work, but again, I don't think I have the skill for that đĽ˛.
But yeah, in my head anyway, Adam bottoms, and he'll have a crisis about it lol.
I really like Zophiel, especially in evilmenshoe80âs fic he played a key role! Now, I want to use him again so hereâs an idea.
The virtues are arguing among themselves. Gabriel and Uriel against the idea of redemption and Hazbin Hotel, Remiel and Cassiel approves of it, and Raphael and Azrael chose to abstain from this decision. This leaves Michael as the deciding factor on which side will win.
He was pressured by all of them to give his answer but instead of answering, he ran away and went immediately to a balcony to calm himself down. (He is still grieving about the news of Adamâs death and being reminded of this âHazbin Hotelâ was hurting him more and more.)
On one hand, he can side with Gabriel and shut down the hotel as a sort of revenge against them for killing Adam, but if the concept of redemption is possible heâd like to give everyone a fair shot of redeeming themselves. This shows his angelic nature (and former title as the Angel of Justice) showing.
Suddenly a specific phone (he has a lot of phones) calls him. This phone is used specificially for one purpose: Zophiel. Only Michael knows of Zophielâs existence. Everyone else thinks that Michael has connections in all sorts of places.
âYes?â Michael asked.
âWhatâs with the cold tone, boss? Are you mad at me for giving the info late?â Zophiel asked in a teasing tone. Michael growled in anger.
âOkay, okay, Iâm sorry. Thatâs quite insensitive of meâ Zophiel sounded regretful and guilty. Good.
âI know youâve been missing Adam. But I have an important news from Hell for youâ Zophielâs tone sounded serious.
âWhat is it?â Michael asked curiously.
âWell you know how that angelic steel can permanently kill angels, hellborns, sinners and all?â Zophiel asked.
âYes.â Michael replied, one eyebrow raised. âWhere is this going?â
âIâm getting there. I showed you the clip of Adam getting stabbed of said steel, correct?â Michaelâs clenched his fists in anger.
âYes.â Michael replied with bitterness.
âWell, I got some news for you. He did die, but he is back,â Zophiel paused while Michael felt his hand become cold in anticipation. âAs a sinnerâ Zophiel finished.
Michael almost dropped his phone in surprise and relief. He felt his eyes water but he immediately wiped them away.
âAny clue where he is?â Michael asked.
âHe is staying in the Hazbin Hotel. Why? I heard itâs to give this redemption thing a shot. Seems like he must really want to get back to heavenâ Zophiel replied.
âThank you for the info, Zophiel.â Michael replied, grateful for the info that Zophiel provided.
âIâm always at your service, Sir Michael. Iâll call again to give you more info. Call me if you need me.â Zophiel replied in a comforting tone. The last part was said with a comforting gentleness to it. The phone went dead as Zophiel hang up on his side.
The next day, Michael gave his answer. He sided with Remiel and Cassiel much to Gabrielâs annoyance. As Remiel celebrated and excitedly told Emily that the Hotel is approved, Michael looked away in guilt. Only Uriel saw the guilty face he is making.
âItâs alright, Chief. You decided on what you thought was right. Donât mind Gabriel.â Uriel said with a smile while patting his head. Michael nodded. Guilt stirred inside him even more. He didnât agree because it was âwhat he thought was right,â but for a selfish reason of wanting Adam back.
Meanwhile, Zophiel sighed tiredly. He observed the hotel from afar using his angelic power. Adam got himself a deal with Lucifer. How is he suppose to tell the Prince of Heaven that his belovedâs soul is now owned by the King of Hell?!
Like I said, this is just an idea. I just like the thought of using Zophiel! For those who are curious, hereâs the info I posted about Zophiel. I also used veeâs (i hope you donât mind I call you that evilmenshoe80) version of Zophiel.

Swap AU Part: 5
A sweet melody resounded between the foliage of the forest, the soft bubbling of the river water as it moved over rocks and pebbles a soothing complement to the pleasant tune. Adam sat by the river side busying himself with pigments and sea shells and beautiful stones of varying shapes and colours. Just a couple of days ago, Michael had gifted him a lyre, and even taught him how to use it after he heard the first man sing along with the birds. The archangel told him that he seemed to have a talent for music and offered to teach him new ways to enhance his singing voice. Adam was, of course, more than happy to accept. He loved the lyre that the angel gifted to him. It produced sounds so melodious, so heavenly he could feel his heart be filled and enraptured by its beautiful melody. It was quite similar to how Michaelâs presence made him feel sometimes⌠Regardless, he wanted to show his appreciation by creating a small gift for the archangel. It wasnât anything particularly grand or as fine as the lyre, but he hoped his thoughts and efforts would shine through his work and Michael would like it enough to accept it.
The sound of a set of soft footsteps leisurely moving towards him burst his little tranquil bubble and disrupted his flow of work as he quickly tried to stuff his tools and supplies into a handmade pouch made of leaves. Is Michael here already?! But itâs still so early!Â
Adam was still hurriedly packing his things away when the set of footsteps finally arrived beside him. He quickly pulled his little bag close to his body before turning to the person beside him. âMichael! Youâre a bitââ
The words instantly died in his throat when he was greeted with long flowing blonde hair instead of shorter wavy ones, and sharp amethyst eyes instead of deep blue ones.Â
âHello Adam, may I sit here?â
Adam turned away, his cheery mood instantly dampened by Lilithâs presence. âWhy bother asking? Itâs not like you ever listen.â
âHmm, youâre right,â Lilith replied as she took her seat beside Adam.
The two sat in uncomfortable silence. Well, uncomfortable only for Adam as Lilith seemed to be leisurely enjoying the serene sounds that echoed around the river bank. Her eyes were closed as she soaked up the early morning sun that filtered through the foliage. Her posture was so relaxed and nonchalant as if this was something she did on a regular basis.Â
âYour singing was quite lovely. I didnât know you sang so well.â
âThatâs because you were never there to hear it,â Adam answered, his whole still turned away from Lilith.Â
Lilith simply hummed in response, her eyes still closed, still relaxing under the sun.Â
Adam sighed, a little annoyed at Lilithâs nonchalance. âWhy are you here, Lilith?â
At that Lilith finally opened her eyes as she turned to face Adam, body slightly leaning towards him. âAre you ready to talk?â
âNo.â
âThen why are you still here?â Lilith leaned back, her sharp eyes trained on Adamâs closed off figure. âYouâre free to go. I wonât stop you.â
She was right. Adam was free to go, and he almost did go. To just leave Lilith hanging there without another word would ease the sore spot still inside him, but by just a tiny bit. But it wouldnât really change or solve anything. He supposed it was time for him to stop running away. He couldnât avoid her forever, they shared the same home after all, eventually they would run into each other. If he were to share a space with her, he thought he might as well make it bearable for both of them. Still, that didnât mean he had to like her.Â
Adam turned to face Lilith, this time with more vigour. âWhy should I leave? I got here first.â
A smirk formed on Lilithâs lips, a smug look in her eyes. âThere you are. Welcome back.â She supposed it was about time. She had hoped that Adam would be more receptive to her after having given him the time and space she thought he needed. And it seemed that she was right after all. Though her darling husband Lucifer almost did ruin her chances by being a little too obtrusive with his expressions of regret.Â
Seeing Lilithâs self satisfied expression only deepened the frown on Adamâs face. Was she just playing with him again? Was this some sort of test to see if she still held some control over his feelings? Well, he learned his lesson with her, and he wasnât about to play her game.Â
Just as Adam was about to get up and leave, Lilith held out her hand, urging him to remain seated. âPlease stay. I do really want to talk.â
And so, Adam begrudgingly did stay, though he didnât talk. What was there for him to say to her? He was pretty sure he had expressed his thoughts and feelings towards both her and Lucifer well enough.
âHow have you been lately?,â Lilith asked.
Adam let out a bitter laugh. Really? Was she really asking him this? âBoth you and Lucifer have hurt me in such ways I didnât even think was possible until now.â
Lilith winced at that. She really did go too far this time. With a deep breath, she replied, âIâve thought about some things. With the time between us. Letting how my actions have affected you sink in.â A pause. And then she looked Adam straight in the eyes with a look that had never been so sincere. âDonât get me wrong, I still donât regret choosing Lucifer and I donât think I ever will. But we shouldnât have gone behind your back like that.â
âBut you did.â
âI know. And I do regret that. We just couldnât trust you not to tell the angels about us, but now I know we were wrong.â Never in her existence thus far had Lilith ever feel such regret and remorse. Being proclaimed perfect by the angels ever since she first took her breath and reinforced by Luciferâs constant praises, Lilith never had to question herself. She was after all flawless, how could she ever make a mistake? But she supposed if two perfect beings could clash, then one of them was bound to be in the wrong. Though it took a lot out of Lilith, this time, she had no choice but to admit her faults.Â
Adam remained seated on his spot as he took in her words. It was satisfying. To hear the proud Lilith be remorseful and for once admit her mistakes. But stillâŚ
âDid you truly believe that I would want harm to come to you? Lilith, Iâve done nothing but try to be a good husband to you. Did you really think that low of me?â
âYou were always the obedient oneâŚâ
The two sat in silence. Well, at least now they knew partly why they didnât work out as husband and wife. Though it was a little too late for that revelation.Â
Suddenly, Lilith got this look in her eyes. Her amethyst eyes sparkled with a certain kind of resolve as a thought came to her. âAdam, I would like to start over again. Not as husband and wife heaven forced us to be, but as potential friends. This time, I would try to get to know you. The real you.â Lilith moved forward, closer to Adam. âAnd no more lying! What do you say?â
Adam was so taken aback by Lilithâs proposal he didnât know what to say. It just felt like too many things were happening at once at such a fast pace. She came out of nowhere, convinced him to listen, admitted her faults and now she wanted to start over. And while it did sound nice to be able to go back to how things initially were, this time without the lying, he needed things to be at a slower pace. And so, he gently pushed the too close Lilith by her shoulder away from him.
âIâd like to start over too. But that doesnât mean Iâve forgiven you already.â
Lilith blinked slowly as she allowed Adam to push her away from him. She supposed she was too eager. Regaining her composure, Lilith leaned back and re-assumed her leisured posture.Â
âOf course not. Iâm actually surprised you even listened to me. I know I wouldnât have.â Lilith paused, a hand stroking her chin. âI think I wouldâve even been violent.â
Adam moved back a bit at Lilithâs admission; a small shiver ran down his spine. Was this the woman who was supposed to be his wife? The one the angels told him to love and be gentle with? How scary.Â
Lilith held out her hand towards Adam. âTo new beginnings?â
Adam accepted her hand, a new hope blooming in his chest. âTo new beginnings.â
â-
Michael had a few hours before his daily visit to Eden. He had been so swamped with work as of late, and trying to balance that with spending time with Adam in Eden had left him no time to find Lucifer. This time, however, after doing some extra work last night, he finally had some time to spare. Now all he had to do was find Lucifer. Though it was proving to be a bit difficult. In fact, he hadnât seen much of his brother in the last few days. He was either too busy or just couldnât be found anywhere. It was almost like Lucifer was making himself scarce in his presence.Â
A familiar laughter in a crowd of voices caught his attention. Found him.Â
The friendly angel was, as usual, surrounded by younger angels as they listened to his wild ideas and unique stories with wide fascinated eyes. This time, it seemed that he was telling them about the chimera. A three headed beast that consisted of a lionâs head, a goatâs head on its back, and a serpent for a tail. And it also breathed fire. The dangerous creature was let out to roam the earth outside of Eden along with many of Luciferâs pet projects deemed too unstable for the garden.Â
âThere you are,â Michael said as he approached the group. âIâve been looking for you.â He placed a hand on Luciferâs shoulder, just in case he tried to slip away again.Â
Lucifer stiffened at Michaelâs sudden greeting. A little anxiously, he looked up to his taller brother, an awkward smile on his face. âOh, hi Michael. I thought you were busy today?â
âI just so happened to find some time.â Michael glanced at the young angels that surrounded Lucifer. All of them looked a little unnerved by Michaelâs presence. âSorry, but can I talk with my brother privately?â
The young angels gave each other a look before turning back to both brothers. And despite Luciferâs silent plea for them not to leave, they all timidly gave their farewells and see you laters to the creative angel.Â
âYou scared them away.â Lucifer visibly deflated. He loved the newly made angels. They were always more open-minded towards his ideas than those who had stayed in Heaven for a while now; influenced by Heavenâs rigid order and beliefs. âSo? What did you want to talk about?â
âNot here. Letâs go back to my place,â Michael answered.
Suddenly, Lucifer got a bad feeling about this âtalkâ.
And his bad feeling seemed to be well founded. As soon as they arrived at Michaelâs place, the taller angel quickly locked the door, closed the windows and pulled down the curtains as he made sure there were no other angels in the vicinity that could hear them.
âOkayyy. Youâre worrying me a bit there Michael.â
Michael pulled down one last curtain before heading towards the couch Lucifer was sat at. His cool expression from earlier now an anger that was about to burst.Â
âYou should be worried Lucifer. Especially with what you did in Eden!,â Michael hissed.
Luciferâs response of a confused look and a tilted head only fueled Michaelâs agitation towards his brother. How did Lucifer manage to convince the council to give him the main responsibility of looking after the garden of Eden and the humans that inhabited it? Were they that blind? Michael could feel his energy draining just thinking about it.Â
âLucifer, Adam told me what you did.â
That seemed to have finally alerted the small angel to the severity of the conversation. His confused look earlier now replaced with a horrified one. He shrank back at his seat as he reluctantly looked at his brother. And what he saw in those cold blue eyes confirmed his fears. Adam had told Michael about his affair with Lilith. Suddenly, a cold fear pierced his body, leaving him frozen at his spot, unable to refute or defend himself to his brother. Now what? What was going to happen to both him and Lilith?Â
Sensing his brotherâs growing panic, Michael placed a hand on Luciferâs shoulder, grounding him back to reality. âCalm down. Adam asked me not to tell anyone else, and unlike you, I donât go behind peopleâs backs.â
âHuh? Adam did that?,â Lucifer asked, a little confused and shocked. So not all was lost? The first man still cared for him as a friend? A small happiness bloomed in his chest. It was still possible for him to regain Adamâs friendship despite all that has happened.Â
âYes, and I think he was too lenient with both you and Lilith, but that was his choice.â
Lucifer huffed. What did he know about anything? Michael was barely even in Eden and now he was acting like he knew what was best for Adam. As if him trying to replace Lucifer wasnât enough. He was still a bit bitter when the first man had rejected him, but was readily willing to be with Michael. He knew he messed up terribly, and he knew he asked his brother to look after Adam in his stead, but did Michael really have to act like he was so much better than him?Â
âBut thatâs not the main reason I wanted to talk to you,â Michael continued. Lucifer and Lilith may have escaped punishment for now, but that didnât mean he couldnât give Lucifer a piece of his mind.Â
âWhat were you thinking Lucifer? Really? To have an affair with the first woman?â Michael rubbed at his temples. âYou know Heaven would never allow that. Not only that, but youâve also put a stop to humanityâs progress. Theyâre bound to start asking questions sooner or later, Lucifer. What do you hope to do then?â
âIs it so wrong Michael? I canât help who Iâve fallen for! And the same goes for Lilith,â answered Lucifer, suddenly finding his voice. He might have regretted lying to Adam, but he would not be shamed into leaving Lilith. âYou may think theyâre just humans, Michael. That theyâre supposed to just blindly obey Heaven, but I know theyâre more than that! Theyâre more than just Heavenâs little project.â Lucifer gasped for breath, a little overwhelmed by his burst of feelings. This time, he fully faced Michael, a searching look in his eyes. âYouâve spent time with Adam. Surely you believe he should get to choose for himself too?â
Lucifer looked at his pale hands, suddenly feeling helpless despite the power that was gifted to him when he was first made. âAnd if Heaven eventually does find out then⌠I donât know, but somehow weâll find a way together.â
This was absurd. Maybe even beyond delusional. Michael knew his brother had wild ideas, but he didnât realise it had gotten this bad. These kinds of thoughts were dangerous, bordering on blasphemous. To go directly against their Fatherâs intended plans. If Heaven were to ever find out Lucifer held these kinds of thoughts in his head⌠Well, he wasnât sure what would happen except for the fact it wouldnât be good for his brother.Â
But what Lucifer said about Adam choosing for himself⌠Well, luckily he didnât have to worry about the first man going astray from Heavenâs plan for him. Really, it should neither be his or Luciferâs business with the goings on with the humanity project. That was up to angels like Sera, who were directly involved with their creation.Â
Michael let out a deep sigh. He could feel a headache coming on. There was no convincing his brother, that he knew, but he supposed he could still try. âLucifer, you have your role to play, I also have my own, and so do the humans. We all have roles to play to keep things in working order. We should just stick to that to avoid ruining everything.â
To say that he was disappointed would be an understatement. Lucifer had hoped that Michael would at least understand a little bit of his point after having spent time in the garden, but he supposed he expected too much. It wasnât completely Michaelâs fault, angels were made to be subservient to God after all. Lucifer was justâŚan oddity. Still, being made from the same stardust, Lucifer expected a bit more from his brother.Â
âOh, and also,â Michael continued. âI want you to keep your distance from Adam unless he has given you permission, okay?â
âWhat?â
Michael got up from his seat and got ready for his daily visit to the garden. âYouâve hurt him plenty enough, Lucifer.â One by one, he put up the curtains and opened some of the windows. âItâs time to realise youâre no good for him.â
And with that, Michael opened the door. âI have to leave now, but keep in mind what we discussed,â he said with finality before heading off to the garden, leaving an astounded Lucifer at his seat.

Part 6

I'M SO SLOW AT COLOURING I SWEAR đđđ but I really think the result was worth it! specially with mika~ (his tits look so big, that wasn't at purpose xd)
this is an AU inspired by @koji-haru amazing au's stories and @twost3ps steve art đĽ°
basically, lucifer wants to take both lilith and adam so he offers them both the apple, adam being the obedient (and fearful) son he is, refuses and instead tries to convince both lucifer and lilith to stay in eden with him, because going againts god isn't a good idea, it doesn't work and they leave before the other angels arrive to punish them for disobeying, leaving adam alone and with confusing feelings he doesn't understand or can name.
after some time, eve is made, adam and her get along very well, they are part of each other after all, BUUUUUT lucifer and lilith start meeting with eve behind adam's back and convince her to bite the apple and give one to adam too, the angels arrive before he can bite it and only eve is kicked out of eden.
to avoid another failure, the angels decide that one of them has to become adam's new mate, since there's less possibilities that one of them gives up to sin, they choose the most loyal and dutiful angel of all, Michael, and after god's approval, mike gets transformed into a human and becomes the second man, Mika.
something that lucifer doesn't like at all.
*eve used to like lucifer and lilith when she first meet them, but started hating them when she got kicked out of eden, feeling used and furious that they make her lose her husband and paradise, after she dies and goes to hell, she becomes the sin of wrath (and what about satan? I don't know man, this is an au that I made just for fun, maybe they work togueter, maybe eve kicked his ass and took his realm, who knows~)
*adam feels very insecure about mika, he thinks that sooner or later he'll abandon him too, so he's distant and kinda cold towards him at first, but with time and patiente the second man manages to win the heart of the first man.
the last image is supposed to show how the 5 main characters of this story feel about each other, I forgot to put arrows for the feelings lucifer and lilith have towards eve, oops! but basically their feelings are between like/complicated, they feel responsible for her after she gets kicked out and try to help her survive in earth, spoiler: eve chases them out with self-made arrows, cause she hates them, that's what you get when you take her paradise and hubby, dawg.
(anyways, it's pretty late over here, I'm going to sleep, peace! âď¸)
(and yes, I'm going to write a nsfw story of mika breeding adam, hehehe bye)
Time Travel AU Part: 13
[I struggled writing this. Again! I feel like all this science stuff I'm doing again is draining my creativity đĽ˛]
It had only been one day since Eveâs banishment from Eden, and yet the angels were all already discussing the future of humanity, the garden and Adam himself. Adam was sat beside Michael in the circle of stressed angels, all too engaged in their debate. Adam wasnât even initially supposed to present in this meeting, but apparently Michael, ever so thoughtful, suggested that the first man be involved in the discussion regarding his possible future. And Adam would appreciate the gesture if only he didnât have to bear witness and suffer through Heavenâs bureaucracy. It was one of the few things he actually hated when he used to be an angel. The meeting began early in the morning and the afternoon was fast approaching, and yet they still havenât broached the topic about Adam.Â
Damn angels and their obsession with order. Adam could feel his eyes drooping, his head nodding off, the discussion a soothing background noise; boredom and exhaustion weighed heavily on him. Beside him, Michael noticed Adamâs quickly slipping attention. Humans after all, didnât have the same stamina and durability that angels had.
âPardon me, Iâm sure these are all very important, but can we get to the topic about Adam? Itâs why heâs here to begin with,â Michael gestured towards the sleepy human. âWe can continue the discussion about the others after this.â
Seeing Adamâs drained figure, the angels all agreed to pause their current discussion for later and put away their current notes, switching them for ones related to the new topic. As usual, Sera was the one to start the dialogue. With a clap of her hands, the attention focused back on her as she began to talk.
âAlright. Following Eveâs banishment from the garden of Eden, we were faced with a problem regarding their propagation. Eveâs new companion, who will be created using a part of her, will be made in the following days.â Sera placed both of her hands on the table as she looked at Adam. âAdam, you are now without a companion. We planned on creating a new companion for you butâŚâ She glanced at Michael. âMichael had suggested we consult you first. He mentioned something about your possiblyâŚtroubled state.â
A new partner for him in Eden? Someone untainted by the fruit of knowledge? While the idea of being with someone, who was also safe and away from both Lucifer and Lilith, didnât seem so bad, it was also someone new. Someone Adam would know nothing about, meaning another unpredictable factor. Who knows, maybe this new person would be similar to Eve or they could also turn out to be like Lilith. Either way, they would be an unknown factor. And after finally securing Eden for himself, he didnât want to add more potential risks, especially not when he was already in uncharted territory. That and, well, the idea of opening up to someone like that again hadnât crossed his mind for over many millennia now, and he sure wasnât going to start again.
Adam adjusted himself on his seat, carefully thinking about the words he would say and the emotions he should express in front of the angels. With downcast eyes he answered, âIâŚafter EveâŚI donât think I could ever be ready to be with someone new again.â Adam let a few tears slide down his cheeks, a little sniffle here and there, maybe some subtle trembling. Really, anything to gain the angelsâ sympathy and pity.Â
The sight of Adam seemingly in anguish over Eveâs betrayal and absence crushed many of the angelsâ hearts. How pitiful. For such a delicate creature to experience such a horrible tragedy. They couldnât imagine the scars that such events had placed on his little heart. Godâs most perfect creation, traumatised under the clutches of Lucifer and Lilith. Sera placed a hand over her own heart, clearly affected by Adamâs act. âAdam, are you certain you donât wish for a new partner?â
Adam meekly shook his head. âI think Iâve had enough.â
â-
The late afternoon sunâs gradually cooling rays shone over the serenity of the garden, coating everything in its soft orange hue. Adam leaned back against a tree as he watched the other inhabitants of the garden prepare for the incoming darkness. It was a bit odd. To have all of the garden to himself in peaceful silence. He had gotten used to a high pitched voice that used to always eagerly drag him along the garden in search of new things to try out. It was about this time of the day when he would join Eve, along with Amora, to gather tonightâs dinner. Adam felt a heavy nudge on his shoulder, and was greeted with large yellow eyes when he turned.Â
âGuess itâs just you and me now, huh?,â muttered Adam as he allowed the big cat to lay its head on his lap. âWhat? Are you trying to comfort me?,â he chuckled. His fingers lazily petted the jaguarâs soft fur, the warmth a welcome presence in Edenâs gradually cooling air.Â
Now what? Adam had achieved what he wanted, and of course he was happy that could stay in Eden away from both Lilith and Lucifer, he was also happy not to have to suffer a harsh life outside the garden. But he also couldnât help but be a little anxious about the future. This was where things would start to really change, and while he was confident in himself, he could still only hope that this future he had carved for himself would be better than the one he had previously.
A familiar flapping of three pairs of wings interrupted Adamâs musings. He knew the owner of those wings. Only he would visit the first man in the garden at such a time. Adam turned to face the angel; a knowing look and a silent nod for a greeting. It seemed suitable enough for the late afternoonâs current undertone.Â
Michael found himself a spot beside the first man, close but not too close. The two sat in comfortable silence, simply enjoying the sinking sun as it tinted everything in orange, before the angel uttered a word. âAbout your decision earlier⌠Are you certain with what youâve decided?â
Adam kept his gaze on the horizon, his figure drowning in the sinking rays as it painted him all over like melting gold in a hot furnace. âIâm certain,â he uttered.Â
It was one of the few things he was certain of in his newly carved future. He had lived for 10,000 years, and not once did he ever need it. There were some similar things, like his relationship with his exorcists. Each and every one of his girls were dear to him, even that traitorous Vaggie used to have a spot in his heart. Then there was Lute, who he had doted on the most. And while all of those ties were real in their own right, none of them were ever introduced to the cavernous depths of his soul. After living for so long, he realised he didnât need it, or maybe it simply just wasnât meant for him. That was fine for him, it was less messy that way, and he intended to keep things neat in this life too.
âBut wonât you feel lonely?,â Michael asked. âBeing the only one⌠of your kind I mean.â
Though the words were directed at Adam, Michaelâs wistful gaze divulged another story. Even ever since his body was formed from stardust and golden ichor first flowed throughout his body, Michael always hadnât been the most sociable angel. He got along fine with the rest, but there was always a disconnect. Luciferâs fall seemed to have resulted in only widening that gap, with others seemingly keeping their distance on purpose after knowing what he was capable of. He supposed that was to be expected, he was, after all, the only angel in Heaven who had the blood of his own kin in his hands. True, he had no choice in the matter, it couldnât be helped, but the others also couldnât help what they felt.
Adam mulled over Michaelâs words. He wasnât sure if he would call it loneliness, but being the only person in the garden did make him feel isolated at times. Though he supposed it wasnât really that bad. He looked back down at Amora who was snuggling on his lap, a content look on her furry face. The slow rise and fall of her chest, the warmth from her large body that she happily shared with him. Adam may be very different from the rest of Edenâs inhabitants, but he felt very welcomed and at home all the same.Â
âItâs not so bad,â Adam answered, a faint smile on his lips as he brushed Amoraâs fur. âIâve got the animals with me. They never let me feel lonely. And then thereâs also you.â
âAnd thatâs enough for you?â
âIâm just happy to have a home.â Adam would want for more. He had always yearned for more, to learn and experience more new things. It was why he invented so many things. From useless decorative items to important life saving techniques. In fact, one of the reasons he proposed the exterminations, besides wanting to fuck with Lucifer and Lilith, was to escape the monotony of Heaven. The exterminations allowed him to experience new things; sinners with their grotesque forms, hellish food that could kill you in a variety of ways, a chaotic society that easily shifted day by day. It was fun, plain and simple, but it was also a wandering kind of fun. If fun new things meant he would lose paradise, his home, then he would rather not take it. Dying and waking back up in Eden made him realise how he lived like a wanderer in his previous life. Moving from place to place in search of something different, but never truly having a permanent place for himself. He would have to learn to hold back some of his inclinations and unnecessary wants this time, now that he got a hold of his home back. Having a place to belong far outweighed âthe fun stuffâ. Besides, Eden was fun in its own right. It had all kinds of animals that would happily play with him despite being deadly if they were outside the garden, the garden itself was big enough to contain various landscapes from rainforests to open deserts, and most importantly, it didnât have other people who would ruin his day, at least not anymore anyway.
There was this inexplicable look in Adamâs eyes when he answered Michaelâs question. Like a wistful longing; something akin to nostalgia, like he was holding something dear that he had only found again. Just at this moment, with the sinking sun reflecting on his already golden eyes, Michael saw in Adam, just an inkling, what seemed to be an eternity of life and experience. It was surreal, it was as if there was a whole other world within the human unbeknownst to anyone but the man himself, though he knew it couldnât be possible. So instead, he turned his gaze back to the slowly fading sun.Â
What was home?
The archangel, of course, had Heaven, the place he first woke up in, the place he had spent the most time in, and the place he always returned to. Though with the recent events, that place had become a little less comforting, a little more alienating. It was still the same but also different. It was like Lucifer had never fallen, but the void of his absence permeated the atmosphere. Heaven had become uncomfortable. But Eden remained a simple comfort. Michael wrapped his wings around himself. The garden was still here and so were the animals. Then there was also Adam. Maybe that was also enough for him.

So I have some ideas for Spooky Month...
1) A psychological horror style mini series
2) A bunch of horror short stories.
(1) Will be adamsapple, while (2) might be a mix of guitarhero and adamsapple one shots.
I can't promise to actually make them btw. My time is being squeezed even as of now, but I will try!
Question for your Adan and Michael/Mika AU.
Why in Adan's arrow of feelings is not pure love for Mika? It's a little love, I like it and it ends in is it complicated? Will they have problems too? And where Lilith and Lucifer live, and Lucifer plans to steal Adam from Mika?

Adam feels very insecure about having other mate/companion after losing lilith and eve (and lucifer)
He thinks Mika will leave too, either because he will get bored of him or he will find someone better, so he tries to not get too attached to him, he behaves polite and kind but not close enough to let his new husband into his heart, he'll leave, why letting him in anyway?
Michael on the other side is still getting used to being a human, it's the first time he's experiencing being tired, hungry, sleepy and the most complicated thing that comes with being a human, feelings, yes, the basic needs of his body can be easily met by eating and sleeping, but, how can he make adam to really trust and love him? he can protect adam's body, but will he be able to protect his already damaged heart?
lucifer and lilith already falled, they bringed sin into the world soooooo, yeah, they are both in hell building their kingdom.
aaaaaaaand yeah, lucifer will try to convince adam to join them, will he succed? (expect a dramatic scene, I watch too much novelas ok? I WANT DRAMA AND TO ADAM TO STOOD UP FOR HIMSELF!)
(you guys can send me asks or draw requests, just a warning, I may or may not draw the requests, depends of my time and mood, thanks and good night!)
Swap AU Part: 6
Michael had been flying over the garden for a while now in search of a certain human. The lake was devoid of the first manâs presence when he came down from Heaven. Of course, he waited at first, maybe Adam was just late or busy. Though as more time passed, his concern only grew. There was nothing dangerous in the garden, every animal and every plant were all safe for the humans, but at the same time, Adam had never missed their daily meetings. In fact, the human himself claimed it was what he most looked forward to everyday. So where was he? The last time he was delayed was when Lucifer had tried to talk to himâŚ
The sound of soft chattering directed the angelâs attention towards a small river, secluded by an encompassing green forest. Michael flew down towards the sound. It could be Adam. Though as he got nearer, the voice sounded clearer, the pitch a bit higher, the tone more reserved. In front of him was the first man sitting by the river bank, his knees close to his chest and his expression a little uncomfortable and guarded, albeit willing to stay and listen to⌠Lilith, the first woman, as she made small talk in such a casual manner.Â
âAdam, Iâve been looking for you,â Michael announced his presence as he walked towards the first man and kept an aloof eye on Lilith at the same time. âYou werenât by the lake.â
Adam gasped then looked up at the sky. The sun was at its peak, its intense rays shone brightly over the entire garden. âOh, Iâm so sorry Michael! I didnât realise the time!â
âOh, so youâre Adamâs new friend, Michael,â Lilith noted, her cheek resting on the palm of her hand as she observed the unfamiliar angel. The angel bore some resemblance to her chosen husband, Lucifer; sunny blonde hair and milky white skin, but that was all. This angel was taller, less wispy, and definitely not as amiable as Lucifer, if his freezing gaze towards her were any indication. Still, that didnât dissolve Lilithâs relaxed demeanour, angels were not allowed to bring any harm to humans after all. âI donât think weâve met. Iâm Lilith.â
The air of nonchalance that surrounded her, her confident gaze, her amused smile. Michael disliked all of it. The way she acted like she belonged wherever she pleased when she should be the last thing to approach Adam. âI know who you are, first woman,â Michael replied. âIâve taken over Luciferâs job as Adamâs guardian since the incident. Iâm sure youâre well aware of it.â
âUh uhm, MichaelâŚâ Adam looked at the angel with pleading eyes. The air around them had suddenly gone heavier, the tension crisp as it sent shivers to his spine. Why was this happening now? Just as he was about to fix things with Lilith!
The smile that graced Lilithâs face quickly faded at Michaelâs words. The careless elegance upon her figure was replaced with stilled paleness as dread surfaced in her eyes. âOh. Iâm assuming Adam told you.â
Michael nodded, âThough you are saved from the consequences for now.â He pulled Adam closer to him, wings protectively wrapped around him. âYou can thank Adamâs kindness for that.â
Lilith released a breath she hadnât realised she was even holding. The stiffness that overtook her body washed away by relief from the words she just heard, though some unease lingered preventing her to assume the level of nonchalance she had prior. âI guess youâre right.â She turned her gaze towards Adam, her expression unreadable. âThanks Adam, that was very kind of you.â
Everything seemed to be going wrong. Things were supposed to get better, not worse! Adam quickly pulled away from Michael and stood between the angel and the first woman in an effort to mend the situation. âMichael, Lilith and I were just patching up. Please be kind to her.â
Michael simply gave a blank stare. Did he hear that right? Adam was rebuilding his relationship with Lilith after everything she had done with Lucifer? Surprise and a bit of disappointment flashed in his eyes before he quickly regained his composure. âThatâs goodâŚI suppose,â he huffed.Â
Adam kept his gaze on the angel, pleading and reprimanding at the same time forcing Michael to break contact as he shifted his gaze to a random tree. âI will be polite.â
That was better than nothing Adam supposed, though he did hope that everyone would get along better in the future. He turned to look at Lilith. She seemed a bit better now, some of the cool air than normally surrounded her coming back as her figure appeared to be relaxing slowly. That was a good sign. Adam released a sigh of relief. âIâm sorry about that Lilith.â
âThatâs alright,â Lilith smiled. âI feel like we started off on the wrong foot.â She looked at the sour angel behind Adam. âHi, Iâm Lilith, the first woman and a friend of Adam.â
Michael sighed to himself. He couldnât believe what he was about to do. To pretend to make friends with one of Godâs traitorous creations. âIâm the archangel Michael, the sword of God and Adamâs current guardian.â He turned around, picked a direction and then started to slowly walk away. âAlright, letâs go Adam.â
âAh- wait..!â Adam rushed back to his spot earlier near Lilith and picked up the small bag he left there before running after the angel.
âWhatâs with the rush?,â Lilith asked from her seat by the river bank.
âOh, weâre just about to grab something for lunch,â answered Adam as he paused in his tracks.
âOoh, can I join?â
âNo,â Michael replied tersely as he stopped to look at the first woman.
Lilith settled comfortably on her seat, an amused smile gracing her lips. âWhy not?â
Feeling the atmosphere become more awkward and tense again, Adam replied to Lilith before Michael could, âMaybe next time Lilith, sorry.â And with that the two left, leaving a clearly amused Lilith by the river bank.
â-
On the other side of the massive forest, far from the river bank where Lilith was, Michael and Adam picked forest berries by hand and placed them onto a small basket the angel had conjured for them to use. The heavy atmosphere from earlier was now replaced with the serenity of bird songs and the cooling shade of the forest foliage away from the heat of the midday sun.Â
âAre you okay?,â Michael suddenly asked as he kept on picking berries.
Adam stopped to face the angel, head tilted to the side. âWhat do you mean?â
âFrom what I know the last time, you didnât want to be even near her.â Michael placed the berries he picked into the basket before straightening himself up and returned Adamâs gaze. âIf sheâs forcing you to do things for her, then I can put a stop to that.â
âNono, she wasnât doing any of that,â Adam smiled, a small chuckle escaping his lips. His angel was such a worrywart. âWe were genuinely trying to fix things between us. And while I still havenât forgiven her or Lucifer, I do miss the way things were beforeâŚthis,â he gestured randomly around him. âSo Iâm trying harder this time.âÂ
Michael hummed in response. He accepted Adamâs response, but couldnât help but be a bit unsatisfied. Again, he thought that the first man was being too easy with those two, but he supposed he just had to respect his wishes no matter how much he disagreed with them. Kindness and patience was a virtue after all, though the human seemed to have too much of it. Michael released a sigh at his inability to really do anything at the current circumstances. He really didnât like it. This feeling of uselessness. He was one of Godâs mightiest angels, and yet here he was letting a fragile human deal with the troubles in the garden, that shouldnât exist in the first place, while all he could really do was stand by and watch.Â
Adam had gone back to picking berries when he heard Michael sigh and mumble something under his breath. A thought then struck his mind and he quickly got back up, a little panicked, and grabbed the angel by his shoulders, forcing him to look back at him.
âAh! Of course that doesnât mean I want you to leave!,â Adam quickly added. âYouâre a change that Iâm very happy to have permanently!â
Though Michael was confused and unsure of what caused the first man to react like that, he was also happy at what Adam had thought of him. The idea of being a permanent change in Adamâs life; to have carved and marked his spot forever in Adamâs heart. It all soundedâŚnice. âThen Iâll be sure to remain by your side for eternity,â he smiled with a fondness that came from deep within him.Â
To have those crystal blue eyes look fondly at him and that tender smile that rarely appeared on his flawless face directed at him made Adamâs stomach feel odd. As if there was something small fluttering inside, like a bunch of tiny butterflies fluttering about unsure if where to go. With slightly shaky hands, Adam let go of the shorter angel, looking away from his bejewelled face. He could feel a slight warmth on his cheeks, and the need to simply hide away bubbled inside him as he fought to remain still. âI, uh, sorryâŚfor shaking you like that,â he coughed into his palm in an attempt to hide his burning face.
âNo need to apologise. It didnât hurt me or anything,â Michael let out a small laugh. âThough, I must admit, it was a bit odd,â he added, amusement on his face as he watched Adam somehow turn redder. He wasnât sure what was causing the man to become so bashful, but he quite liked it. He found him especially endearing like that. It suited him. That was how Michael thought things should be for Adam. To have simple worries only, and none of that Lilith and Lucifer thing. And he was glad to at least have that kind of effect on Adam.
Adam released a shaky breath, âW-well, those berries arenât going to pick themselves!â And with that excuse, Adam ran off to a random direction away from the angel, bringing the basket full of berries with him.Â
âAh. He ran away,â Michael muttered to himself. He looked down at his hands full of berries. âAnd took the basket with himâŚâ
Why did he run away? Adam really didnât know why, but he simply felt like he had to, and before he knew it, his mouth made a silly excuse and his legs carried him away. At that moment, he felt like he was about to combust as if the butterflies inside of him just multiplied tenfold and were screaming for an escape out of him. And if he was about to explode, then at least he had the decency not to do it in front of Michael.Â
âŚ
Adam groaned into his hands. Why was he acting like this? Recently, he had been feeling a bit odd, like there was something inside of him. It was something akin to nausea, but also quite different. Was he ill? Did he eat something bad? He was sure there werenât any bad things in the garden. The worse thing was that the feeling sometimes intensified whenever Michael got a little too close to him. Was that what was making him ill? Angelic presence? That didnât make sense to Adam. He spent plenty of time with Lucifer before and he never got sick. Lilith was also still fine. Adam wondered and wondered, put all of his thought into this one thing, but came up with no answers. He was so confused.
After a few moments of regaining his composure and taming the butterflies inside of him, and much back and forth with himself, Adam finally returned to where he left Michael. The first man came back having picked precisely zero berries since he ran away, too busy being bewildered and worried about himself, while the angel had two new baskets beside himself filled to the brim with berries, way more than what Adam had.Â
âOh, welcome back,â Michael commented offhandedly, still busy picking berries despite most of the bushes and trees now devoid of said berries.Â
âUm, I think weâve gathered plenty enough for ourselves Michael.â Adam looked at the staggering amount of berries the angel had gathered, and then to the empty bushes around said angel. âWay too much.â
At that, Michael paused his activity and finally truly looked at his surroundings. Oh. Perhaps he got a little too engrossed. âHuh. Well, thatâs less work for us to do tomorrow, I suppose.âÂ
âYes, well, um, thatâs goodâŚâ Adam fidgeted at his spot. He could feel the butterflies starting to flutter wildly in his stomach again, his hands were getting clammy by the second as he held the little leaf bag in his bag. â...actually, Iâve got something for you.â
Well that got the angel curious. Michael eyed the small bag that Adam had in a tight and guarded grip. âReally? What is it?âÂ
Adam nervously made his way towards the angel, one hand outstretched as he reluctantly handed over the small bag he was holding to Michael. âI just wanted to thank you for the beautiful lyre you gifted me,â Adam said, his cheeks turning slightly pink. âI hope you like it.â
The bag felt light in Michaelâs hand, almost weightless. Slowly, he opened it, revealing its contents to himself. Inside was a carefully handcrafted bracelet decorated with various glistening stones, such as sapphires, aquamarines and lazurites, and seashells of varying shapes and sizes painted white, light blue and a deep ocean blue, all held by a silky golden fibre. The care and thought put into the small gift evident by the intricacies etched into the pieces that completed it.Â
The angelâs silence at seeing his gift was eating Adam up inside. âDo you not like it?â
Michael looked back up at Adam, taken aback by the first manâs question. How could he possibly not like it? It was one of the most thoughtful gifts he had ever received in his existence. âAdam, I love it,â he answered as he proudly put the bracelet on his wrist. âItâs the most beautiful thing Iâve ever been gifted. Thank you, really,â he smiled wholeheartedly, his deep blue eyes glistening with sincere appreciation, the little golden stars under his eyes glowing faintly under the shadow of the forest foliage.Â
âReally?,â asked Adam, still somewhat unsure. There was no way his little gift was the most beautiful thing someone as nice as Michael had ever received.
âI wouldnât lie to you,â Michael guaranteed.
Adam felt his heart swell at that.
[Things are getting sappy đ]
Part 5
Part 7
Rivals to lovers guitarhero?! Yes please! I'll be waiting patiently đ
Ohh I thought about a human au where adam gets a chance to relive as a human back on earth.
Instead of living in riches like he thought he would. He is now a waiter in a restaurant.
After a couple of weeks, he is mostly chilling with all his coworkers and the regulars. Until wired shit started to happen.
Like everyone he knows, come to the restaurant he works at from time to time. Sometimes, it is Lute. Sometimes it is Sera. But now it is Micheal as well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Note: This was supposed to be adamsapple Au, but I think I'm going with guitarhero for this one.
Rivals to lovers is the trope I'm gonna use for guitarhero, but this au is a work in progress.
I don't think imma do much with it but mama mia au with Adam as Donna with Lucifer, Micheal and Gabe as the 3 ex lovers. I was thinking maybe Cain be Sophie?? Lilith and Eve could be Tanya and Rosie. How does the baby happen? Idk and idgaf
Iâm not assigning exact roles to the brothers cuz I wanna leave an air of mystery of who is who. This would realistically be a human au but I think just a slightly different version of the hellaverse could work to
Also I didnât feel like humanizing the brothers so yeah đ đ§
Also have some Adam and his kids. In a human au heâs the manager of the hotel Eden on the island Puragtory??? (Bro idk) Once the lead guitarist of the band, (to be determined title), he gave up stardom to raise Cain. He eventually would have 2 other children, Abel and Seth who were surrogate but Adam isnât sure who Cain dad is lol.
It gets better because he didnât know that Mike, Luci and Gabe were triplets so when they reunite for Cains wedding and see each other for the first time theyâre all confused. Also I think it makes it harder to determine the father now. Considering that theyre siblings a dna test wouldnât be very accurate and any of Cains traits just boil down to the Morningstar genetics.
