omg this is so true! they are notorious for not following orders, but not when rex is around, they fall in line like puppies
and it has a lot to do with echo and rex’s relationship
that’s the thing that makes me laugh in tbb that whenever rex calls, hunter starts discussing but we know damn well echo would drop anything and everything to help rex
rex and echo have a long history together, not to mention rex was the one who pushed to have echo rescued even when everyone was convinced he wasn’t still alive
echo had rex’s handprint REPAINTED on his arc trooper armor from the first time he even met rex, and you think echo is going to not immediately drop everything and follow rex blindly into any mission he needs help with? and when echo joined the batch obviously they all grew close (they are a family <3) so that level of trust that echo has with rex, the batch has with echo.
given that, even if they had doubts about a mission with rex (especially with omega around), hunter and the rest of the batch trust echo, and echo would fling himself into a fire to help rex, so there really isn’t a question of if they are going to help rex, it’s how soon can they get to him.
i find it so funny that normally the bad batch is very serious, calm, collected, kickass, etc, always look to hunter for confirmation, usually take some time to think before making a move or a choice.
but when rex shows up they turned into a bunch of starry-eyed shinies blindly following their ori'vod around. rex calls them to coruscant and echo just says 'we're on our way' without even LOOKING at hunter. oh ur in charge, sarge? that sucks, bc rex is here now. when rex is around, hes calling all the shots. rex says we're going here? well, line up, ducklings, we're going. rex says to remove our inhibitor chips? straight away, sir. (i know rex technically outranks hunter (right?) but it is still hilarious)
and the moods fucking change so fast too, one minute i’m in tears thinking about them and the next i’m screeching at how mf beautiful they are
Thinking about clones either makes me:

Absolutely and utterly devastated and broken hearted, full on sobbing on the floor, shaking and trembling
Horny as fuck
so i have pretty wacky dreams, like they are all over the place always
but tell me why i woke up this morning and remembered i had a dream where i was taking care of a bunch of cats and they were all named after clones
like mayday was the newest arrival and he was super anxious and shy but ended up swallowing something he shouldn’t have and i had to get it out of his throat before he choked
lmao wtf 😂

i also feel like he would be a little mischievous too he’d be the type of boyfriend to tease a lot a feel like, just like lovingly poke fun at you with the widest smile ever bc he knows you love him anyway
also this man is soooooo into pranks 100%
jump scares? oh you betcha, he hides behind a corner and as he hears you humming and walking along, paying no mind at all, he jumps out and screams
but doesn’t hesitate to then wrap you up in his arms and kiss your forehead while apologizing when he realizes how good he got you
