The tension between Hannibal and Will in s2e7 where Will holds him at gunpoint in his kitchen is so wild. They're just constantly toying with each other and you can literally see in both of them how much they relish this.

The way Hannibal is just standing there unbothered and almost relaxed, the way Will hesitates as soon as Hannibal tells him that he cannot answer his questions about the ripper if he's dead, "don't you want to know how this ends" (I am screaming because I KNOW HOW IT ENDS), the way Will's breathing picks up after that as he points the gun at Hannibal's head, and then Hannibal turning his head away like he's surrendering to whatever may happen next, and then how Will's facial expression ever so slightly shifts at that realisation as he is taking in every inch of Hannibal's face.

It's all so !!!!

You ever think about the version of Will that was only starting to get corrupted by Hannibal? The version of him that kissed Alana in search for stability and comfort and for something that was real and not a hallucination, the version nodding and almost crying when being asked if he felt unstable?

I love this show and how it plays out as much as the next person, it's so fucking good. But man, I want to give this Will a hug and tell him it'll be okay and keep him safe while I pluck him out of the narrative as I stare down Hannibal and Chilton.

You know, normal feelings to have about a show. /lh
