No one has ever beaten Leo in a race? What about other fast flying fairies?
Well, technically saying that no one has ever beat Leo in a race is a bit of an exaggeration? I imagine that he definitely lost a few races to the older fairies when he was younger, since his wings weren't fully developed and he hadn't really found the right technique yet. In the current timeline though, he's absolutely the fastest of the fast-flying fairies! No one's been able to beat him yet :)
could Raph pick up Donnie and fly him around before the wing brace?
absolutely!! Both Raph and Leo had/have a habit of carrying Dee and Mikey around :]]
Raph has the habit because, like you said, he would fly Donnie around before he was able to invent his brace! And Mikey would just kinda climb all over him and beg to be carried hehe. Leo never really wanted to be flown around since he’s a much faster and more agile flier than anyone else, but he’ll still make Raph carry him around occasionally!
Leo, on the other hand, has a habit of carrying the other turtles around because he’s their main method of fast transportation! Very similar to Rottmnt :]] As long as Leo’s holding on to his brothers or carrying them along (in Mikey’s case usually), then he can fly them anywhere really quickly as a group! That’s how they see April so often :D
(so, basically Leo’s portals from the show, but no interspace travel— he just flies places really fucking fast and takes the other three along for the ride lmao)

Ouf of the way! The fast bois, Placenticeras are moving. These underwater frisbees and similarly shelled ammonites experience less drag during higher speeds underwater as their shell shape is more streamlined
