Help This Actually Turned So Sweet - Tumblr Posts

So the feeling of familiarity was mutual. She noted mentally at the quite drastic change in his demeanor. As soon as the words ‘we have met’ left his lips, the rest of the world stopped existing. The pull was stronger, the picture oh so slowly clearing but still not enough. Yet she knew he wasn't lying, she felt it.
Shock, awe replaced the anger along with a twinge of sadness foreign yet part of her. An uncertain step forwards, part of her history was standing within arms reach she wasn't always alone, a secret of cosmos which hasn't opened up for her fully.

“I...I remember you...but barely.” she whispered, threading through the smoke “I liked you.” I. Not ‘she’. Cindy willingly let it slip
An another step closer, tiny brilliant golden wisps framing her form in search of answers, of her past.
“I'm no host. I am The Fire.” if anyone had called her a mere host, the reaction would've been vastly different. This time the proof wasn't a merciless rain of cosmic fire or a gruesome transformation, but her eyes: still vivid jade green, but underneath shone the whole universe, the almond slits glistening windows of what the Force has created.
She was searching for him, he must have been important to bring forth such emotions without even truly trying. She wanted to, ached to reach for him; physical connection would help, but...she was unsure. After all, she wasn't exactly the same woman, the only thing linking Cindy to the host was the incredible power in her veins.
“I don't see her...only you.” it was still faint and fleeting, no matter how the galaxy eyed woman tried to concentrate on the slippery past
When the memory began to clear, an another cough rose in her throat, the thick black smoke chasing away what she has achieved, leaving her on the edge of the abyss with unreachable knowledge.
“Fuck your car sideways Seviathan.” there was no bite in her tone anymore, his name slipping with such ease that Cindy didn't even notice

Her nonexistent patience after almost getting ran over evaporated as quickly as soon the entity opened his mouth. Still, she waited close to the wreck, waiting for him to stumble out and also keeping a careful eye on the ever growing puddle, ready to unceremoniously yank him away in the worst case scenario.
An eyebrow raised as the young man peacocked himself almost back to perfection after the crash.
“Oh? And you think I give a shit?” her weight shifted to her left to add a little unnecessary flair to the statement before the other part
“Be fucking grateful I’m not continuing with your face.”

Oh he had other thoughts besides himself; that’s a surprise. Before she could spit an introduction, the fuel and remaining sparks of her fire met with a dangerous, hungry sparkle and fused together in a devastatingly loud explosion. The civilians.
Cindy hasn’t mastered this trick fully but it couldn’t wait; thankfully it was her fire. Flames shifted to take place of the jade green of her eyes, reflexively stepping in front of the dumbass driver. The charred remains of the car fell back to the concrete with a metallic shriek, but the fire stayed in the air, as if contained in an invisible bubble. Flames tried to curl, to expand, the trapped energy violently rolling against the barrier.
“You better fucking shut up until I’m done.”

Deep controlled breaths, nimble dance of fingers and the unseen mental concentration to calm down the roaring destruction and call it back from where it came from. Flames eventually slipped from the invisible container, slipping into her body with a directed flow until all of what the explosion produced returned to the Fire herself.
“Cindy Flame” a winded cough, producing a cloud of charcoal black smoke from her lips “Spirit of Vengeance and Artistic Freedom.”
“Also known as The Fire.” she added both as a small boast and explanation of her previous displays of power
“And who are you? Why are you familiar?” Cindy asked almost accusingly, her ability to ‘see into the past’ was a heavy exaggeration. She occasionally had ghostly visions, images of smoke, either too thick to see through or too thin to make anything out. She had some knowledge of the Fire’s path before It arrived to her, to Its final destination; from the whispers she began to understand that this reckless, arrogant shithead had crossed It’s path enough to leave an impression. The question is friend or foe?

Oh this bitch. He guessed a part of him didn’t care that much, being filthy rich had it’s advantages but he didn’t feel like explaining to his father how he ruined this car in particular. He was about to snap back but his attention drew to the car exploding, giving an indifferent ‘huh’ from the eldritch for once seeming to brief into thought.
This situation felt familiar. This girl felt familiar. These flames felt familiar. It wasn’t just a case of she looked like someone he saw on TV, or he did something similar that results in a different expensive car going up in flames, it was deeper than that. She said she was a cosmic entity right? Eldritch beings were extremely similar in that regard, even Lucifer himself couldn’t handle pure insanity, dread, and chaos given the closest thing there was to a physical form.
Time, the rules of hell, and the mechanisms of the world never quite applied to him. Or any of his family. Not in the same way it did to other demons at least. But something universal to most higher powers beings was energy and the more he thought to actually sense it the more familiar it felt. The confusion and him going through what (and who) he had done in the past couple of decades ran through him. However it all hit him faster than his own car crashed into her the moment she reabsorbed the flame.
Old memories flashing through him, old feelings making his chest ache and who he run into, what the situation was before him.
Oh- oh no. OH SHIT-

There was a change in demeanor, was he scared? Not quite, more like nervous. This wasn’t quite like running into your ex though it was certainly just as if not more awkward. He was a literal fish out of water here, having no idea how to explain this situation, if she would even believe him.
“Well we have met, actually that’s an understatement, we were quite close. Though the fire looked different years ago with a different name to boot…..different hosts just like she said.” he chuckled dryly, “Seviathan Von Eldritch. Nice to meet you again.”
