Underground fighter Pete, who slipped through the cracks and never got recruited by Chan or whoever, meets underground fighter Porsche.

Anyway, there are a multitude of ways this could go, but I’m thinking that maybe after they beat the shit out of each other in a few matches, they’re besties.
And then depending on how close you want to hew to canon, Pete’s around to move in and keep an eye on Chay when Porsche has to move away to the “island” to be a “bartender at a private resort.” Pete’s super-suspicious of this Wik kid who’s suddenly sniffing around Chay, and meanwhile Porsche is intermittently calling him on various random nights to come out to the bar and drink with him and his unhinged new boss and sketchy co-workers - because Pete KNOWS from sketch, OK? - and also, let me tell you, Yok adores Pete, who sometimes, if his matches aren’t bringing in enough money, will pull a few shifts as one of the front-door bouncers. And then Pete has to stumble home drunk after a night with Porsche and Tankhun and Arm and Pol, and pretend that he hasn’t seen Porsche, who’s on some island, no really, being a bartender at a private resort, while Chay looks at him with big Bambi betrayed eyes, because he KNOWS something’s going on, OK, P’Pete? I mean, not that Chay doesn’t have plenty of experience helping drunk Hia and P’Pete into bed, because that’s just how they are. But then Pete comes home one day to a tased and unconscious Wik, and Chay is gone, and Pete ends up going with Kim and Big to the warehouse - it was that or strangle this little asshole when Pete finds out his nong’s been kidnapped - where everyone is so shocked when all of these worlds collide that Pete gets himself taken hostage by Vegas.
Cue action. Because this would alter the dynamics between Pete and Vegas in some significant ways, while also maintaining them in some significant ways, and now I kind of want to sit down and actually pick through what the changes would and wouldn’t be.
(I’m assuming Arm found some way to hack into the minor family servers from a distance if Pete wasn’t around to throw himself into the torturous embrace of the minor family by infiltrating in his stylish coveralls.)
