feeling like Ratio would most definitely find comfort in cuddles at the end of the day much like he does when bathing. something about being under heavy covers, warm and cozy, and nuzzled up next to his partner. his mind clearing up the dark dusty clouds of the day. his muscles relaxing, breathing calming down, heart beat slowing down. after the cuddles he would probably request a shared bath, warm water does furthermore relax sore muscles, especially his sore muscles from working out every morning. which translates to cuddles in the bathtub. his arms secured around his partner, head resting on partner's neck. quiet simple sounds of water swishing, a calm space without anything overwhelming or overstimulating. the big light turned off, barely any light, of course he would hate any brightness in this moment of tranquility. sloppy soft kisses he'd place on his partner's collarbone to express his love quietly. just a safe bubble with him and his significant other.

Imagine giving your boyfriend, Dr. Ratio a rubber duck that looks like him as a joke. He does make a comment saying it's idiotic, but he actually keeps it in his bathtub. Every time he looks at it while he's bathing, it makes him feel a warmth in his chest because it's a personalized gift you got just for him. You notice it hanging on the side of the tub the next time you bathe with him and tease him for it. "Hm. I guess it wasn't that idiotic of a present since you kept it in one of your most sacred places." He just ignores your teasing and continues reading his book.
The next time you two decided to take a bath together to relax, you notice another rubber duckie next to the one you gifted him and it looks just like you. You make a comment on it and he's nonchalant about it. His reasoning being "It seemed fitting that you should have one as well since we usually bathe together". All you can do is blush, taken by surprise from his words. He notices this and smirks. "What's wrong dear? Too shy to give one of your teasing remark?" All you can do is look away, moving back to lay on his chest. You quietly say, "It's cute." He slightly chuckles, a fond look graces his features. He wraps his arm around you, bringing you closer into him and rests his face into your hair, leaving a faint kiss to the crown of your head.

-people may think he only cares about knowledge, you know that he still has a heart despite his cold and stern demeanour
-a heart that what makes him…himself, who would tend to your needs and make you comfortable with little to no issue
-his heart may be cold, it would melt at your presence

Imagine being accepted by Nous and became one of the geniuses that Nous had approved. But due to working constantly, you start to become emotionless like Ruan Mei, no longer caring about your feelings, but you see Dr Ratio trying his hardest to earn Nous’ attention that makes you imagine him turning like you, so you warn him the consequences and reason why Nous hasn’t approved him yet.
But when he persisted he wants to continue, you could only imagine how it would change him as you keep on telling him. Subconsciously a few tears start to slip out and you’re confused what’s going on. You try to wipe your tears away but they just don’t stop. Your voice gets shaky ask him why aren’t they stopping…
He could only look at you in shock as he walks up to you and hugs you, attempting to calm you down. You slowly hug him back and sobs quietly on his shoulder, meekly telling him that it has been a long time since you had a hug…

But you have no idea what he’s saying. Every once in a while he goes: “do you get what I mean?” as he taps a note he wrote and you just lie and nod. He might know you’re lying. Might not. Either way he likes it when you tell him what he wants to hear- Pepper his face with kisses while he talks. He likes that. Dr. Ratio is really really REALLY smart. So he tends to think other people are dumb. Even you. So he invests in a sticky note pad and writes little notes to help you throughout the day. It’s cute. Until you start living together. You have SO many notes everywhere. Little things like: Brush your hair Eat breakfast Put shoes on before you go out Like?? You’re not THAT dumb- But at least he’s trying to take care of you. You deal with people who annoy him. You’re kinda like his…translator, even though you also don’t really understand him. You’re over here like: “I’m so sorry sir! But the Doctor is not interested in speaking to you! Why? Oh. He says he doesn’t like you very much :3” Dr. Ratio likes to have you in his seminars. It puts him in a good mood. And his students are happy when you’re there too because he tends to forget to assign work since he’s too busy staring at you… You’re kindaaa his personal assistant in the seminar rooms, though it’s not really fair because you’re not getting paid or anything, haha.
