in which it’s three in the morning and you find yourself dancing with the love of your life.

home by bruno major is yours and mark’s song. it’d be late—the two of you couldn’t get a wink of sleep and decided to saunter downstairs to make some hot chocolate. a shiver would run through you as you felt the chill in your living room, the pair of shorts you had on did nothing to shield you from the cold, neither did mark’s black shirt that was engulfing your figure.

as you stood there, softly stirring your spoon in the brown mug sitting on your counter, mark would come up behind you—hoarse voice humming lowly to the tune of home. he’d wrap his arms around your waist as he swayed the both of you side to side, a small grin settling itself onto his lips.

dancing to any song was your favorite thing to do with him, but there would always be a special spot for fix it to break it by clinton kane. it wasn’t your typical go-to, but with huang renjun, dancing was your favorite way to destress and doing with him was just the cherry on top. whenever it’d play from either of your phones’ speakers, getting up and wrapping each other in your arms was an instinct at this point—and you didn’t mind at all.

“i missed you today,” renjun would whisper into the skin of your neck, your bodies moving with the flow of the music, his hands leading you to softly sway in his arms. you’d hum and nuzzle into his hair, the soft squeeze of your arms around his neck told him that you indeed missed him too.

bad days are always bound to come and when they inevitably do, pink sweats’ at my worst would be the first to sound from jeno’s phone. he’d brush away your tears of frustration—the overwhelming feelings washing way every so slightly a she tugs you into his arms. he’d softly nudge your head towards his chest, where’d you feel the slight rumble as he murmurs the lyrics into your ears.

the worries and burdens from your day would lift off your shoulders, your boyfriend holding you in his arms and taking them off you. he knew how strong you were and sometimes, all you needed was to be in his arms and he was prepared to give that to you no matter when or where you needed it.

lee donghyuck is so in love with you. so, to finish off your first anniversary together, accompanied by the silence of the world as everyone is fast asleep in their bed—this is how you fall in love by jeremy zucker would softly blare from his phone, your curious eyes watching him as he plucks you off the couch. he’d bring your arms around his neck and his around your waist, his forehead leaning on yours as he smiles down at you.

“this is how you fall in love,” he’d sing lightly to you, your eyes sparkling as you can see the love in his eyes. you loved haechan with all your heart, and you’d give anything to freeze time and stay here in his arms for the rest of your life.

dancing was a regular thing for the two of you. na jaemin loved to dance and the opportunity to do it with you would never be something he’d pass up. kiss by thyro and yumi would be a song you’d let him listen to one time and he had decided right then and there that this was the song he’d hold you close and just dance around his living room to.

he’d smile down at you, swinging you from his arms and allowing you to twirl in your pajamas as he admires the beautiful sight in front of him. he’d murmur sweet nothings into your ear as the song slows and you could hear his racing heart from how close the two of you were.

loving chenle was easily the best decision of your life. even now, as he wakes you at what feels like three in the morning—lover by taylor swift blasting from his phone. a soft whisper of ‘happy birthday’ would spill from his lips as he gathers you in his arms. you’d smile, despite sleep hanging heavily on your eyelids, you loved the way he grinned at you. his arms pulling you from the bed and urging you to dance alongside him as the song continues.

he’d ramble on and on about how good taylor’s album is and would chuckle as you nod and yawn along with his stories. he’d tell you that it was okay to go to bed, but you’d reply with something like, “no. i like it here with you.” and he’d burst into a fit of giggles—to hide the fact that his heart was racing and his cheeks were burning.

you’re absolutely smitten with park jisung, your heart races as the two of you giggle and sway along to only by leehi, the soft melody fills the silence of jisung’s apartment as you lay your head on his chest. he’d have his hand running through your hair as he placed chaste kisses on your forehead every now and then. he loved having you in his arms, the scent of your shampoo comforted him in ways nothing ever can (other than you, of course).

“i love you so much, y’know that?” he’d whisper, burying his face in your hair as he feels slightly embarrassed, but really the butterflies in his stomach were getting too intense that he couldn’t take it. you’d smile, whispering the words back to him as you tightened your hold on the blushing boy.

“she’s so pretty what am i supposed to do?!” renjun’s hushed whisper echoes from your laptop, prompting your head to snap towards the screen.

it was late, your group had decided to work on your project that was due the next day. with you being the only girl in the group, a deep intense blush situates itself on your cheeks—was he talking about you?

“um… renjun, your mic is on.” jaemin grins secretly, your whole group watching as renjun’s eyes widen and his camera shuts off.

“s-sorry!”

mac and cheese — hrj.

in which you only know how to, sort of make the humble dish—mac and cheese.

renjun didn’t know why he found himself in front of your stove, hair slicked back as he carefully watched over the pot of instant ramen noodles at nearly 2 in the morning. actually, he did. he was in the middle of trying to fall asleep when you had blown up his phone—panicking about how you burned your precious mac and cheese pack. so, with sleep hanging heavy on his eyelids, he chooses to ignore that reason and tries to focus on cooking you something to eat.

“renjuuuun, i’m sorry for waking you,” you whisper sheepishly. you knew how irritable your boyfriend could get if he were to be disturbed in his sleepy state, but to your surprise he stands there eerily calm as he switches your stove off.

you watch as he drains your noodles and neatly places it into a bowl for you to enjoy. your eyes practically turn into hearts as he sits in front of you while pushing the steaming bowl of ramen forward towards you. his eyes are drooping as he sets his chin on his hand, staring at you.

“you know you can’t cook, what the hell possessed you to cook at two in the morning?” he yawns, watching as your eyes light up at the taste of his own mac and cheese. “thish ish sho gewd!”

he can’t help but laugh as you attempt to speak with your mouth brimming with noodles, your cheeks puffing out as you stuff them full. he loved to cook for you, even now as he nearly dozes off into dreamland.

“i was working on my paper and well—i didn’t have any groceries! those things are expensive…” you murmur, gulping down the last of renjun’s delicious noodles.

he scrunches his nose as you lick at your fork, grinning widely at him, “you should still budget your money for those things, y’know?”

renjun’s heavy sigh amuses you as you syand to place the bowl into the sink, your very sleepy boyfriend standing from his position in your small kitchen.

“c’mon sleepyhead. my bed’s starting to look real comfy.”

in which you had to do a double take when you saw him for the first time.

“you won’t believe what happened to me earlier!” you’re giggling as you plop down into the cushioned chair in front of your best friend. her eyebrow tilts upwards—she leans forward while blowing at the hot drink in her hands.

some would say she looked uninterested, but you knew her better than that, “i saw the cutest guy on the way here.”

“no way.” yeeun laughs hearing your story before leaning back against her chair.

“yes way! he had on a green beanie and a white—kind of beige—sweater and he looked absolutely dreamy.”

today had been one of your only free days and it just so happened to match up with yeeun’s schedule. so, naturally, you both had decided to put it to good use. the small cozy shop called neo cafe was located near your campus so you had decided to walk the short 15 minutes it took to get there.

he hadn’t really been doing anything boisterous that had caught your attention, he was simply walking alongside a group of boys, his eyes sparkling as he smiled the prettiest smile you’ve ever seen.

“kind of like the one the boy who’s standing in line’s wearing right now?” yeeun’s eyes were trained behind you when you turned around, eyeing the exact boy you saw.

he was smiling just as he had when you saw him, the same group of friends he was walking with were chatting amongst themselves as your mystery boy talked to the cashier.

“…yeah…” your reply sounded breathless as you watched him take his seat a few tables down. he took off his beanie to reveal dark brown hair that looked so soft.

“you’re totally being creepy right now.” you gasp as you turn towards her, chucking a small piece of your bread towards her.

both of your loud laughs seem to have caught the attention of a couple boys sitting across from the two of you, curious eyes watching as you both laugh your hearts out.

“she’s kinda cute, isn’t she..?”

renjun, whose cheeks burn as his friends tease him, smiles a soft smile as he turns away from your table.
