Thank you! I'm far from an expert with realism yet, but it's been fun to experiment. It's a lot different than my usual style; instead of focusing on lines I have to focus way more on building up the facial structure and giving depth though shading. And since I'm trying to work with sort of realism, I also have to limit the amount of clear lines and focus on differentiating parts through shading.

- Sketch

- Fill in the major colour fields of the sketch with each colour on a different layer

- Use a clipping mask to shade (multiply) and highlight (overlay/high opacity light colour) each field separately and add details like eyes

- Add mostly flat background

- Blend character with background using additional ambient shading (multiply) and add other effects

Maybe I should try my hand at speed drawing again sometime...

Hey! Big fan! I was wondering: what drawing tablet do you use? I was looking at one of your pieces (specifically Pacifica) and just loved the sort of texture and feel the lines had to them.

Hi! I'm really sorry for taking so long to answer, what with the unintended hiatus. My drawing tablet is a wacom cintiq 16 (a gift from my awesome grandpa a few Christmases back). I use FireAlpaca as my main drawing program since it's free, albeit with some customized brushes for added texture.

And another thing... I freaking LOVE that you made a full AU with Stan twins, using Servant of evil. I can't describe how well, in my eyes, it fits them! Like... no kidding, it literally became their song for me, after I returned into the fandom! You have NO IDEA how hard I fangirled (is that a word?) when I saw you had a whole animatic for it. IT. WAS. AMAZING! I love it more with every time, I re-watch it.

And I'm so glad you like the animatic so much!Honestly when I was first working on that project I wasn't even sure if I wanted to upload it on my blog. It was such a niche idea I figured, and was honestly kind of embarrassed. But you know what? Tumblr is the site for the weird, the niche, and the 'cringe'. And I'm happy I finished and posted it. Because sure it maybe doesn't have the widest appeal, but I'm proud of my work and I know a decent amount of people liked it too so I'm glad they got to see it.

Hello! I just was watching some of your Author Stan AU art (it's amazing :) ) and something made me realize something.

(It's long, so will have to, probably, cut it in two) Part 1.

I get it's still a long way before it, but will we see the younger Pines twins running around Gravity Falls eventually?

Would they encounter the things, Ford wrote in original journal, as things, Stan wrote, is what we saw in the show?

Will Dipper wonder who the author is in your AU too? Or will, despite the fact they still have their canon characters, they'll switch roles and it'll be Mabel, who finds the journal and would want to get to the bottom of everything?

I have NO MANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE LITTLE TWINS!

Would their roles be switched in general, like Stan and Ford's are? Would Dipper be the one, who'd get in trouble the whole time and Mabel will have to save him? Would Mabel be the one, to want to know the answer to answers of the town? Would it also be Dipper, who'd have to choose to trust Ford on portal or not? Would Mabel be given an opportunity to stay in town and learn more about it?

AAAHHH. THE POSSIBILITIES OF THIS ARE ENDLESS! *Screams!*

Hello! First of all thank you so much! Also wow I'm impressed you have so many thoughts about my silly little au I love it!

The younger Pines may or may not become relevant. The fic is stretching out a lot longer than I'd initially intended so I was thinking of possibly writing two endings to the current fic? One where everything is wrapped up nicely and one that leads into a sequel fic (so readers can sort of decide) but that's enough spoilers for now.

And dang good call on the journals! Stan's journal has so far only been including things we've seen in the show while Ford's canonical one has other creatures. I wasn't sure anyone wouldn't notice! What that means for the future remains to be seen.

There's a lot of younger twin possibilities that are fun to consider potentially!
