The complexities and flaws she has are what make her interesting: Homura wouldn't be so compelling and PMMM wouldn't be so great if it weren't for her flaws.

I agree with the assertion that Homura Akemi is not a bad person. She is in fact a traumatized 14 year old. But I feel like some of you don’t want her to have flaws at all. Her flaws make her a better character. I feel like any Madoka fan that points out her flaws immediately gets hit with the “SHE’S 14 AND SHE’S TRAUMATIZED! STOP HATING HOMURA!”. Like nobody’s hating Homura by pointing out the things that make her a more interesting character. I love her because she’s complex like that.
