Have a cute fluff prompt for your ship

Persons A and B knew each other when they were young. Maybe 9 or 10, definitely old enough to remember each other but not entirely. Then Person B has to move away. Now they had only known each other for a year or so, but they were best friends nonetheless, and A was heartbroken when B had to leave.

They hung out for the last time and B was gone. But that doesn’t mean they didn’t keep in touch. For another year, they were constantly calling and sending letters to each other until they steadily lost touch once more.

Years later (the two could be in college or high school, whichever works for the pair) and B comes back. A and B don’t recognize each other right away but they do feel a sense of familiarity towards the other. So they become friends and get closer and closer.

One day, while the two are hanging out, A tells a story about this friend they used to have, and how they used to send each other letters.

“I lost their address a long time ago but i never stopped writing letters. They were the one person I felt I could tell anything I wanted, so whenever I needed to talk to someone, I would write a letter to them. I still have a lot of them.”

A goes over to where they keep the letters and lets B look through them. It’s then that B realizes why A is so familiar to them. B goes back home and finds the letters that A had sent them so long ago (B couldn’t bear to part with them. A was very dear to them, after all). The next time they see each other, B pulls out the letters and begins to read them out loud to A, hoping that they’ll remember.

A does remember and everyone confesses to each other and it’s a happy ending, The End.
