True but Izzy isn't even the only disabled main character, Lucius and Spanish Jackie are both also amputees who are living about as happy lives as you can get as a pirate, Black Pete has a cleft palate and Ed wears a leg brace
It's good to be aware of bigotry in media but honestly I just don't think it applies here because Izzy isn't the only representation of any particular group in the show, not by a long shot
Gentle reminder;
Burying your gays as a trope doesn't apply to media where literally every character is queer and only one of them dies
That's just called regular character death

Izzy dying to me doesnt undo any of his happiness or arc
death isnt always tragic or a punishment or about what someone deserves sometimes it just happens
and on a meta level it makes sense to write out side characters who've finished their arcs when going into your final season (like buttons)

izzy was always going to die a pirates death and i dont think hed want it anyother way
he went out in a blaze of glory protecting his crew made ammends with the man he loves and then was burried with honour
izzy has always represented real true piracy so it makes sense hed go the way the show has been setting up all pirates eventually go
tbh i think it was one of the most respectful ways they couldve killed off a character

part of good rep of any minority is us getting to be treated like any other character and sometimes that means dying
(like mentors/bff/redeemed villians characters almost always do)
like its fine to be upset a character you like died or dislike the writing decision but i just dont think its a decision based in bigotry
