I Forgot To Tag Implied Death On The Other One Damn It - Tumblr Posts
Another vent.
lots of ventilation right now.
a little bit lighter than what was the last post.
TW: Death, blood. Mentions of your corpse and brief mention of maggots and flies in the beginning.
Your body lay still, your eyes glassy and lifeless. The world around you seemed to freeze, hesitating to move towards your body. Even the maggots and the flies were uninterested in your corpse, your body laying uselessly next to the river.
The bear trap was still tight and snug around your neck, the teeth digging and puncturing your neck. Your blood clung to the bear trap and your clothes, the metallic taste in the air drew something nearer.
Or someone nearer, in reality.
Death stepped forward, the zephyr complimenting its appearance nicely. It kneeled down to examine your mangled body, your blood sloshing about its feet as it cups your cheek gently.
Death very gently eased you out of your eternal rest, holding your soul with incredible ease and calmness. Your soul flickers, resting on its arms with a slight plop as it cradles you. Death carefully pries the bear trap from your soul's neck, letting the hunting tool fall to the ground with a clatter.
You weren't aware of what was happening. All you knew was that someone was holding you with overflowing affection and worry. It was its job to do this a thousand, no, a million times over, yet there was still pity for the poor souls it has had to take for centuries and centuries prolonged.
Death turns away, your corpse and crimson blood decorating the bank next to the river as it sweeps your soul away to wherever you need to be now.
