full disclosure, i currently live in a major metropolitan area in a fiercely blue state so i am checked-and-privileged to see something going correctly despite the influx of fucking big tech

but i did use to live in the philippines where patronage is especiallyprevalent when it comes to family politics, and seeing how conservative non-big-city america is when it comes to voting districts, the ol’ boys clubs of the smaller towns aren’t that much different

not voting isn’t refusing to play the game. You’re in this country, you’re subject to the game whether you like it or not. The only way not to play is to leave, and the vast majority of us don’t have that option.

Not voting is playing the game but saying ‘pass’ every time your turn comes up and then wondering why you lost.

i honestly don't think muh v for vendetta anarchy is feasible in my lifetime but there are plenty of situations where we can afford to be more anarchish on a grassroots level committees based on affinity and whatnot rather than bureaucracy outright as for who picks up the garbage the people would establish their own order based on mutual aid and everything they'll break out the mops and brooms and the pharmacy will be looted before it's burned so the people will get their meds for free that's the ideal though this is murica fucking libertarians will probably just establish some bullshit ancap rapture that will fall down on their heads again frank reblogs politics dead inside
