          when  diana  had  fled  liberty  city  and  relocated  in  los  santos,  there  were  a  few  things  she  never  thought  she’d  be  reminded  of—niko  was  one  of  those  things.  she  hadn’t  known  him  all  that  well,  but  they’d  ran  in  similar  circles  and  knew  of  each  other.  even  so,  she’d  be  lying  if  she  said  ( despite  the  paranoia  of  being  tracked  down  by  the  wrong  people )  that  there  was  something  about  seeing  a  familiar  face  that  was  oddly  comforting.

          chief,  her  german  shepherd,  seemed  to  remember  him,  too,  with  the  dog  being  the  reason  she’d  ran  into  him  in  the  first  place.  if  it  hadn’t  been  for  the  dog  pulling  her  to  niko,  diana,  likely,  wouldn’t  have  recognized  or  noticed  him.  but  once  chief  got  someone’s  scent,  he  never  forgot  about  them,  and  so  here  they  were.

          “ never  thought  i’d  see  ya  again, ”  diana  said,  thick  liberty  city  accent  shining  in  stark  contrast  to  the  los  santos  ones  around  them.  “ it’s  still  so  hard  to  believe…  whaddya  doin’  out  here ? ”
