I literally love Snowfall so much. I went into The Dangerous Gift so prepared to hate the book and hate her but I literally love TDG and Snowfall so much. Do I have a reason? Yeah. Does it justify the lengths to which I would go for her? Probably not. But I genuinely think she's one of the best characters and her book is my absolute favorite.
Her character arc is so satisfying. I don't care if the ring was on the nose or if she "changed"!!!! She learned and grew from who she was before, and became a better dragon. She develops a meaningful friendship despite her fears, comes to terms with herself as a ruler, and breaks through her paranoia to help the Pantala tribes.
Boo hoo her arc was compelled forward with magic, she still learned!!! She always had empathy and compassion and drive, she just needs guidance to help break through her overwhelming fears and self-doubt.
She's literally awesome and the rest of you are sleeping on her but that's fine.
