I Love That It Is Open For Debate But Also Give Us Answers Filoni !! - Tumblr Posts

You’re right to address it, I must say this still makes very little sense to me… As cool as this episode was and to see Ventress again, I don’t see the point in opening a new theory regarding Omega and to leave it so blatantly unanswered. Or like is it to be answered in, I don’t know, a cLONES REBELS SHOW MAYBE ?? We are manifesting out here 🥲

But anyway, I gotta say I didn’t really like it myself and was relieved it didn’t go the force sensitive way. In my opinion it would have been a big Marie-Sueing thing.

But to leave it like that, well it’s still a bit weird ‘cause it isn’t mentioned at all afterwards (in a force wielder way I mean, not a Hemlock way : it comes and dies with Ventress, end of story). We’ve known from day 1 that Omega is of interest -to the Kaminoans and others- because of her genetics and blood, so what’s the point of bringing it back if it doesn’t add anything ? Is it just for the sake of reminding it and tying the Tantiss operations ? To have a gratuitous plot twist ? Without the solving it just leaves a meh feeling…

Also, Omega remains a clone of Jango Fett, who has a midichlorian count of 1 500 (for reference, the minimum required to be a Jedi is 7 000). Boba himself, who is an unaltered version of Jango, is at 1 000 [source for all those numbers : « Star Wars Graphics »]. Omega has been modified, sure, but to me the alterations can only have decrease that count, and I don’t see the Kaminoans capable of playing with midichlorians, let alone increase their presence (please correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think the canon universe mentions the possibility of artificially influencing the midichlorians presence in a person anyway).

So well !! All this to say that Ventress’ implication was very class and sensical, the crescendo from meeting and working with Shand to her being the contact was smooth as fuck, but this whole force involvement in a clone centred show didn’t feel right. I’d be super curious too to hear Ventress’ real opinion on it ; she didn’t look like she lied as much as protected an information, or rather protected the Batch from said information. Hm. Either way it would have felt out of place to see Omega force push Hemlock from the bridge.

Well out of place sure, but upon imagining it ? Definitely not unwelcome.

The Bad Batch S3

Been watching The Bad Batch S3 recently. The most recent episode was Episode 9 (The Harbinger).

When I started S3, I was pleasantly surprised that they were at least entertaining the possibility of Omega being force-sensitive.

I'm curious about Ventress' lie. Was she lying about Omega being force sensitive? (my personal theory is that Omega doesn't independently have a high m-count, just that she's receptive to it - she doesn't produce(?) them, but she can receive them)

If that was the lie, why? To protect Omega, who's a bit of a blabber mouth? To comfort her?

I mean, Omega's already shut down the idea of being trained, even if she is sensitive, so...

We'll see how this goes.
