This is my first time sending something anonymously, I’m kind of nervous. I’m a dancer too!!! I haven’t been doing it for a long time, but my favorite style is jazz 😄 I love finding people with the same interests as me.

But yes, I was a dancer for 10 years. I started when I was 8, which is a bit late for a dancer, but that was due to my life at the time. I started with just recreational dance and then one of my dance teachers at the time said that I'd be good for the competition team. I auditioned for the next season and was on the competition team for 8 of the 10 years (I had to keep auditioning every year btw). I was one of the most advanced dancers in the studio by the time I graduated. That's not my opinion either😅. I was mostly dancing in the advanced category at comps. I did all types of styles: jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, tumbling/acro, heels; all types of stuff. My favorite was definitely contemporary though.

Unfortunately, I couldn't/can't continue a career in dance because I ended up with a bunch of injuries that are going to take years to heal. But I don't regret it and I miss it so much, it's kinda consuming sometimes.
