so no one talks about this so I will.
it is canon that the entire Be More Chill book is a apology letter to Christine. Because in the book the SQUIP messed up and makes Jeremy do something stupid and ruins the play. And after the SQUIP suggests that Jeremy tell her the truth and Jeremy says that it would take a book to tell all of that and the SQUIP says “well I’ll write it for you.” And Jeremys like “how would you do that?” And the SQUIP goes “ I’ll have to take control of your body.” (This is the first time it’s mentioned he can do that) and Jeremy’s a bit reluctant but he agrees and then the SQUIP says he will shut itself down after writing the book and that’s how the book ends. And this ending explains a lot of strange stuff. There’s some meta humor in the beginning that feels out of place wear the SQUIP says Jeremy should curse to make him sound cool and then Jeremy does that but later he says “I don’t want Christine to read me cursing so much” and the SQUIPs like “good point” and the rest of the curses in the book are blanked out but they are regularly used.
I thought about it really long time and I want just share about it here.
What if Wally want protect his friends not from Home or himself, but from watchers/readers?
Cause he don’t have any reason to hurt them, he acts like he REALLY like and LOVE his friends, I don’t get why would he want to hurt them?
Maybe he stares at us on arts bc he want to warn us don’t do some shit for his friends as if he wary of our actions.
Well, anyway I can’t think about him like a bad guy by purpose bc he don’t seems to me like that even on canon arts. He just.. mm don’t look like that? I don't know, he doesn't act that aggressive towards his friends, I mean he doesn't even act mean as such towards them, he is more calm and peaceful. But to watchers (us) he’s act like he’s try to catch us and the sooner the better.
