Friendly reminder that the squip has Jeremy sharpie muscles on himself in the book
Friendly reminder that book squip gets Jeremy to do push ups by encouraging him and telling him jokes
The most unbelievable thing about the book is that Jeremy actually does push ups when the squip tells him to, without complaint and reasonably well
Reasons book squip is better:
Tells jokes
Is encouraging
Doesn't abuse Jeremy
Stargazing
Knows its faults
Actually wants the best for Jeremy
Hacking Mark Jackson's Gameboy
Emotional support
Reasons musical squip is better:
Actually does their job
Book Rich has a thing for bellybutton licking
Friendly reminder from book squip not to put what you want on a pedestal and make it too difficult for yourself
Conspiracy theory
Book squip knew that Christine wasn’t good enough for Jeremy so it purposefully messed with him so that he wouldn’t get with her
"It's horrible. Keanu Reeves laughing in your mind? Must be what schizos hear."
- Jeremy Heere
Book squip helps Jeremy improve his health and physical appearance, be more assertive, get what he wants, and rid himself of self destructive habits while simultaneously ruining his life.
The Heere & Heere slogan is “Diamonds don’t have to be forever” but the ring on their advertisements isn’t even a diamond ring
"I'm a child of divorce"
- Jeremy Heere: son of divorce lawyers
"I have a cute butt!"
- Jeremy Heere
Christine's interactions with Jeremy in the book give off such an "I don't want to talk to you but I don't want to seem rude so I'll keep talking" vibe
Be More Chill book sequel where Jeremy gets Squip 4.0 and it’s heckin OP and fixes everything and he gets to be happy
I kind of liked how the book ended with Jeremy not getting with Christine, and I kind of hope he doesn’t afterwards. He didn’t respect her boundaries and she didn’t really respect him as a person, and I don’t think they would have been good together. Also, it’s a nice change from the whole “main character wins the girl” trope.
Book AU where Jeremy's parents are antivax, and after Aunt Linda pokes him with her tetanus pole, he just straight up dies
I have pieced together the canon description of book Jeremy
So in the book, the squip tells Jeremy about how movie actors use squips and it says, "How do you think they remember all those words?" and Jeremy's cool with it, but even disregarding the fact that squips are a recent development and people have been remembering lines for movies long before they existed, which Jeremy probably knows, Jeremy's a theater nerd. He's memorized lines for multiple plays just fine.
