MEMORY LANE: USA VS KOREA IBE 2005

 ”In the early-mid 2000s South Korea came into the scene and blew up in ways no one expected but when they would battle the American bboys the extra respect factor would always come into place. Maybe it was their culture or maybe because the USA created the dance but let’s just say on many occasions at different events American bboys would disrespect the Koreans but everything changed at IBE 2005 when Bruce Lee took Kareem’s hat and threw it into the air.

Soon after huge rivalries took off. Born vs Casper. Rivers vs Mind 180, Gamblers winning Bboy Hodown in Texas, and 3 Korean crews coming to Freestyle Session 10 for the 1st time. Zulu vs Gamblers. Many legendary battles broke out but I truly believe it was this battle that set everything off”
