The kitchen was left with a lovely, sweet smell once the cake was finished. Icing it came easy for Simon, and in fact was his favorite part. For a bundt cake like this one, it called for just a simple drizzle, but it was an effect that still turned out delicious in the end. Topped with some thin sliced almonds, it was ready.

He had turned away to clean up the space a bit, washing his hands especially, but the sound of his name drew his attention back to Jennifer. Simon smiled to her, seeing the first slice she had cut and the bit on a fork she was offering to him. Stepping closer, he leaned closed to take the bite off between his lips. He hummed an approving sound and nodded to her.

"Oh yeah. I think we did a great job with this one," Simon smiled wider, moving to cut his own slice off now that he had a taste.
