Ok I’m sorry but I’m going to have to go on a rant/vent here, bear with me for a bit.

I’m sorry but who do you think you are, to feel so entitled to our art? To OUR interests? Not everyone is born with the ability to draw; sure there may be some out there that pick up said ability at a young age, but even then drawing is LEARNED and takes TIME to hone and make it look good. If you want art from us, and that is totally fine, but PLEASE understand that even we have our limits whether it be the way we draw, the request you’re asking us, the specificity of said request, how long it’s going to take, checking in on our schedule to see if it ends up conflicting with all the things in our lives, etc. etc. 

As for the supposed “selfishness” of drawing for oneself-- again, I’d like to repeat, you do not OWN us. Please remind yourself that artists are HUMAN BEINGS as well-- beings with emotions, feelings, and own thoughts and ideas, it’s just that we convey most of these through our art. Whether it be simple fan art for a series you like, or even a vent art of what you’re currently feeling, or even a very self-indulgent art of yourself and a character you really like, WE did it of our own volition because we WANTED to. 

Artists do not belong to anyone, but we are all open to your requests so long as you respect our privacy, thoughts, and understand that we are just like everyone else-- human. Do not think you are entitled to us, to our art. 

Hah. I’m sorry for going on a tangent here. My point probably derailed at some point or another but I just wanted to say something. I don’t know. 

This sounds like one of those cheap assholes who gets butthurt when they realize our /SKILL/ isn’t free to them. We worked hard to develop our so called talents, we have EVERY right to make art for ourselves, weather you like it or not. You want art from someone? How about you, idk, PAY THEM?

Not an artists? No right to complain.
