Your body ached from the previous night, both your dinner date with your boyfriend and the activities that followed, leaving you drained in the best way. You fell asleep, hoping to nap with Hyunjin until later the next day since both of you had the day off. Tangled in the warmth of your bedsheets, you were blissfully unaware of said boyfriend stirring awake and turning on his side to look at you.

Hyunjin could never get how breathtaking you looked in the mornings—even though you sweared you looked like a tornado ran over, he still loved it. Your messy hair and the furrow of your eyebrows, leaving him to wonder what you were conjuring up in your dreams. He inhaled deeply, continuing to watch you sleep for a few beats, basking in the tranquility of the moment before he leaned over your shoulder and gave you a chaste kiss on your cheek, unable to resist the temptation he was trying to keep at bay.

He winced when he saw you inhale sharply, your body moving to lay flat on your back and settle back into your previous state of slumber. He bit back a chuckle, a grin tugging at his lips as he thought of a mischievous plan, pushing away the hair that stuck to your forehead and looking down at your peaceful expression before planting a kiss on your lips. He heard you groan, definitely annoyed at him for waking you up.

“Jinnie,” you whined softly, frowning even more as he couldn't hold back his laughter this time.

“I wanna see your eyes, love,” he said softly, resting his weight on his elbow, propping his upper body up. His smile widened at the sight of your half-lidded gaze, your grumpy attitude only increasing his amusement. “I'm sorry, my love, you looked too tempting. I couldn't resist.”

You chuckled, half amusement and half disbelief audible. You woke up further, your vision clearing out to see Hyunjin hovering above you. “Couldn't resist, hm?”

“You? Never.” He leaned down again and captured your lips in a much longer kiss, the fervor in his action leaving you breathless and wanting more at the same time. “Did I tire you out too much yesterday?” He asked, a cheeky smile forming on his face, your face flushing in reaction to the memories of the previous night. More than what happened afterwards, your heart beat faster at the date the two of you had. Hyunjin had taken you to a restaurant that you'd mentioned in passing that you wanted to visit, and then he surprised you yesterday with a brand new dress and a reservation at the said restaurant. 

“Is that a question?” You retorted, making him laugh once more, and lay back down on the bed next to you, his arm instinctively coiling around your body to pull you closer until there was no space left between.

“I'm sorry I woke you, we can go back to sleep.” You smiled softly at his words, maneuvering your head to lay on his chest, the steady beat of his heart already lulling you into a drowsy state.

“You can wake me up anytime you want if you kiss me though,” you said quietly.

“Is that so?” You hummed in agreement, settling into your position further and inevitably falling back asleep as he combed through your hair with his fingers, humming a sweet tune that made a smile stretch across your lips, even as you slept.
