So not only did I manage to stream pretty much all but roughly 30-45 minutes of the last painting I posted, all of the videos from the streams turned out fine for once!

I’ve sped it up 5x, put it back all together, and removed most of the pauses (all of the ones I found at least). There’s no audio, and it’s not really a tutorial per se (unless as an example of how to not make up your mind about painting cheekbones under interesting lighting situations which case, yes, it sure is), but it just might be the most complete version of how I work that I’ve got thus far.

Edit: there’s no audio but if you want something cool to listen to (watching the video or not) NPR has a preview of Chvrches’ new album available online before it’s released. (I think it’s also on youtube but it’s region-locked, and it’s so good)

didn't record the sketch layer or color-block in because to be honest until I got done with those I wasnt sure I was gonna go with this comp which is the downside of recording as an afterthought of streaming\ stuff that's just me frustratedly discarding picture after picture doesn't make much of a stream so it doesn't get recorded usually the sketch IS visible at the start though so it's a pretty good example of what that looks like if you do the math on how long that means the picture took you'll find it's not terribly long whcih is how I managed to record it all I pretty much just binged it in a couple of couple-hour gos rather than poking at it pulling it back up frowning and erasing shit forgetting what i was doing like I usually do which drags it out because I notice more shit I wanna fix later like if I had taken even just a week on it instead of two days I would have totally rehauled the pose of the hand and probably actually painted haven and maybe given it a foreground instead of just IDK MAKE SOME TREES THEN BLUR THEM that's good right that's a whole scene right who cares I'm doing a painting in two days! watching this makes me realize I don't really HAVE a process for a lot of how I render though I'm kind of in-between in how I'm using brushs
