This tale sweeps you up and drops you back 3500 years into the past, straight onto the banks of the Nile, in the glory days of the Egyptian Empire. Under the looming threat of war, some powerful artifacts have been stolen and the king entrusts you with their recovery. You don't know what awaits you on this journey but you know one thing for sure: if you don't catch the enemies of the empire, you will risk open war and even execution. Take your fate into your own hands, solve mysteries, meet new friends, fall in love, learn about magic, monsters, spirits, and gods and have fun in the ancient Egyptian kingdom in this historical fantasy novel.
Choose from 4 different backgrounds, each with a unique backstory: noble, priest, captain of the city guard, or a petty thief.
Play as male, female or non-binary; gay, straight or bi.
Build friendships, rivalries, or find love with a young prince, a mysterious spymaster, a brooding spirit, an elite warrior… or even the pharaoh himself.
Play as a merciful defender of justice or a ruthless executioner.
Warning: This story is a work of fiction. As much as I like historical accuracy, this is NOT historically accurate and isn't meant to be. The story also includes depictions of violence, swearing (lots of swearing, seriously), dealing with trauma, death and other subjects that can be upsetting for certain readers. It is recommended for mature audiences only. Read at your own discretion.
I will include a complete list of triggering content as the story goes on. In the future, I will also add optional sexual content that you will be able to turn on or off at your own discretion.

This is so cute I want to cry 🥺🥺🥺
I am giggling so hard at E Junior getting all of Elwin/Elaine 's genes. Like my open and soft MC asking E Junior what's wrong and them being like:
It's [Crush's Name]. It's just like, I can't get them out of my head and every time I look at them." E Junior touches their chest. "I got these pains in my chest and I just KNOW it's THEIR fault."
E Junior frowns at their crush just picking flowers. "That Idiot!"
I NEED TO HEAR ELWIN/ELAINE'S TALK OR THOUGHTS THROUGH THEIR HEAD AS THEY SEE THEIR CHILD BEING JUST LIKE THEM.
“So, how do you feel about this?” you ask, turning to face E, a sly smirk taking over your features. After your little pumpkins rant, they ran back inside, gripping onto one of the poor white flowers they ruthlessly ripped out from the soil. Out of the corner of your eye you noticed that E had returned home. From the furrow of their brows you understood they heard everything.
They look at you with a revolted frown, the top of their lip quivering into a snarl. “Don’t ask me things you already know the answer to.”
You smirk grows into a grin, cheeks hurting from the straining. “But I don’t! I have no clue what you’re talking about!”
They walk closer to you, planting a small familiar peck on your right cheek. A ritual E had developed every time they returned home which translated to, sorry for being away for so long, I missed you. “Let’s get inside.”
“Oh no you don’t,” you say, stopping E by the wrist, pulling them closer to you, to which they don’t try and resist. “Don’t distract me with your little kisses.”
They let out a stifled groan, turning to you, the shine in their eyes begging you to stop, but you don’t. Titling your head, you wait for their reply. “What do you want me to say? That I get embarrassed every time they act like that because it reminds me of how I acted with you? No, I’m not saying that.”
You smile at their words. “I know you don’t like it, but I, love it,” you say, wrapping your arms around their waist and resting your head comfortably on their shoulder. Immediately, you feel the warmth of their palms on your lower back.
“Of course you do,” they say, their tone deadpan.
