I wonder why people say, "bow and arrow" but never, "gun and bullet," or "trebuchet and child," or "cannon and cannonball"

You shouldn't use a bow as a melee weapon it's bad for the bow but if you have no other choice... anyway I think arrow is added because of bows like violin bows and bows like made out of ribbon bows
