67. Suspicious partner

I kept seeing GIFs from this show especially of Ji Chang-wook with those glasses on....and here we are.
I didn't know anything about the plot when I started this, just that it was a legal drama. My favourite thing about this show is that there is a perfect balance of romance, comedy and legal cases. With many shows it tends to focus primarily on one theme with the others taking a backseat but this was a perfect blend of all 3.
I also loved the found family trope with everyone at the law firm. The cases were also very interesting. Most storylines were wrapped up quite well, the only one I needed more from was the friendship between Ji-wook and Eun-hyuk. Just one scene where they spoke and resolved the issues from the past.
There wasn't anything I disliked about the show but Bong-hee annoyed me at the very beginning...she needed to grow on me π€·
I am definitely recommending this show!

68. Eve

I decided to watch this since Seo Yea-ji is in it. I did start it with high expectations because I knew it was going to have a revenge theme.
I can't do this spoiler free so scroll on by if you want to avoid them.
#majorspoileralert
I loved the beginning of this show, there was a tight revenge plan that took years to put together and now execute. I hated that La-el fell in love with the person she needed to get her revenge on. She was doing such an excellent job in getting him to fall in love with HER, which is what her plan rested on, but then she ended up falling for him π€¦π€¦π€¦π€¦π€¦ This just ruined the show for me. It also made zero sense because their "love" was her seduction made up of circumstances she created and let's not forget he was one of the people involved in the MURDER of BOTH her PARENTS. Love cannot be that blind π€· I signed up for a bloodthirsty revenge, not a forbidden romance π
Apart from that I enjoyed it, the story was interesting and you never know what's going to happen next. I loved Seo Eun-pyeong's character. The actors in this were incredible, especially Yoo Sun. She deserves all the awards for this show. I hated her character so much.
I was scared to see how the show would end since it wasn't taking the route I wanted π but it could have been worse I suppose. I was happy that Youn-kyum didn't end up with La-el but I don't think what he did was redemption...what about his children?? Btw what DID happen to the children?!
Overall I was disappointed in this show but simply because I had expected a different outcome. It is still a good show and I do recommend it.

69. Tomorrow

I was very excited about this show as it is fantasy and I had heard good things about it.
Please check the trigger warnings before you watch it, there are many.
This show blew me away from the very first episode. It is SO good. It tackled very sensitive real world issues with a fantasy spin. Every episode had me on the verge of tears, it was so touching. As dark as this show is, it is equally light hearted. Excellent balance.
I loved everything about this show but wish Lee Soo-hyuk had more screen time. After all the tiny clues with Ryeon and Joong-gil I did want more episodes focused on them.
Highly recommending this show but please be mindful of the trigger warnings.

70. Extraordinary Attorney Woo

I started this show after seeing EVERYONE talking about it online. I knew I would love it after just watching the first five minutes.
I loved everything about this show but my favourite is the relationships between the characters. Especially between Young-woo and her father, and Young-woo and Su-yeon. And of course the Hairy's trio.
While some of the legal cases were not the most interesting, I loved that they weren't black and white. I often couldn't decide how I wanted the case to go.
At first I was a little disappointed that they were introducing a romantic relationship so early on but it developed at a very slow and realistic pace. Also Jun-ho is the sweetest and perfect for uri Young-woo.
I haven't seen Park Eun-bin in anything else before and was amazed by her portrayal of Young-woo. Then I saw a fan edit on Tiktok with little clips of her other work and I was blown away. She completely reinvents herself for every role she plays and I am now a fan. I can't wait to watch her other roles. If you have any recommendations please let me know.
I heard that the show was renewed for season 2 after the 14th episode aired so I was worried that we would get some open ended vague ending but the season wrapped up SO well. I love an ending that puts a huge smile on your face.
If you couldn't tell by now, I am 200% recommending this show.

71. Big Mouth

I saw many people talking about how good this show was while it was airing so as soon as it was done I started watching it. I didn't know anything about the plot when I started.
I couldn't guess who the big bad guy was initially and started to suspect everyone. It was full of suspense so I'm glad I didn't watch it while it was airing and torture myself until the next episodes aired.
My favourite thing about the show was the relationship between Chang-ho and Mi-ho + the father-in-law especially in the beginning.
I felt that the show was a little too drawn out at certain times while the ending was rushed. I know people were ready to riot when *** died but I felt it fitted the plot well and made us realize how detrimental the effects were. Iykyk.
The most heart breaking story for me was actually with Kwang-yeon. I am guilty for judging him at the beginning.
I am highly recommending this show, just make sure to have tissues towards the end.

72. Little Women

I have just one word to describe this show: rollercoaster.
I didn't really know much about the show before watching, just that it was about 3 sisters and what the trailer eventually gave away.
I can't say much without giving away spoilers so I will just say:
1. Don't try to figure out what's going to happen next, it's impossible.
2. Don't trust anyone, no one is as they appear.
3. Make sure to watch this when you have plenty of time. This is a binge-in-a-day show, not a watch-while-you-eat show. The way each episode ends will have you immediately selecting next episode.
Obviously I am recommending this show, it is SOOOOO good! And Kim Go-eun was incredible π€―

73. Dr. Romantic (S1+S2)

Two whole seasons so I have alot to say about this show. I decided to watch it after seeing a clip on Netflix, it was a clip with Ahn Hyo-seop and Lee Sung-kyung. And I heard that it had been renewed for a 3rd season, so it had to be good, right?
To my surprise when I started the show these actors were no where to be seen π The clip was from the 2nd season. I seriously considered quitting this show because all the characters irritated me in the beginning, all the doctors were constantly screaming at each other!
It took me a long time to warm up to Kim Sa-bu.
But I stuck it out and eventually they chilled out and started to grow on me. I grew to love the Doldam family and was invested in the patients as well.
Some of the medical cases were really interesting and a little over the top (think Grey's Anatomy) but it kept things interesting while we waited for the relationships to develop.
I enjoyed the second season much more than the first as there were many returning characters that I was already familiar with. I liked the relationship between Eun-jae and Woo-jin right from the start.
One plot I didn't like was the staff from the main hospital meddling at Doldam. And it's present in both seasons. I wish they focused more on the staff and patients at Doldam and just left that storyline out. And I would have loved more romance between the leads in both seasons.
Special mention for Mr Gu. He was my favourite character π
I will definitely be watching the 3rd season when it is released.
I would recommend this if you like medical dramas. Don't be fooled by the title, the romance is limited.

74. Angel's Last Mission: Love

This was recommended in the fantasy genre so of course I had to watch it.
Confession: I started this show over a year ago. I just didn't feel a connection to any of the characters or a sense of urgency in discovering what became of them. But because I had just 5 episodes left I decided to finish it.
The show started off well, it was very interesting but I don't remember at which point I lost interest. The story gave me Phoebe-Coop vibes from the original Charmed.
I do remember liking the childhood connection between the characters. I also liked the character development of Ni-na.
This show could have been saved if it had a good solid ending but alas it did not. It made no sense and was very rushed.
I am not recommending this unless you are a sucker for the forbidden love with a mythical being trope.

75. Shooting stars

I watched the trailer for this show before it aired and it looked like something I would like. But while it was airing I remember seeing some negative comments so it was bumped down my watch list.
I don't know what people were complaining about, I really enjoyed the show, it was very cute and funny and there are so many couples for you to ship. It has a friends to enemies to lovers trope which was done really well.
There were a few problematic scenes which may be why people were complaining but I didn't dwell on them.
My favourite couple was the lawyer and reporter, I was shipping them so hard!
I loved all the cameos as well. Penthouse was such a horrible show but I was glad I watched it to be able to experience those cameos as intended.
Watch this if you're in the mood for lots of fluffy romance.
Kdramas I have watched
76. Our Beloved Summer

I remember this show being very popular while it aired so it was added to my list.
I didn't know anything about the plot or even the actors.
I was expecting this show to be really good because of all the hype but I was bored throughout π I know this is on many favourite lists but I just don't get it. It was really slow and I just watched it to get to the end.
I did like a few things: the scenes when they were in school and how it tied to their present life, Ung's parents and Yeon-su's halmeoni. AndΒ Sol-i was always entertaining.
But overall I was bored, I couldn't understand the whole documentary plot, it seemed like a weak way to get the leads back together and could have been done so many other ways.
Overall I'm not recommending this, sorry to everyone who loved it π

77. Once upon a small town

I didn't know much about this show except that it was short. It has 12 40ish minute episodes so it's perfect to binge in a day.
This show was easy watching, very cute and funny. It gave me Hometown Cha Cha Cha vibes.
Not much to say but I am recommending this show, especially when you're looking for a show that's not going to stress you out or make your brain go into overdrive trying to solve it's mysteries. Just go along on their cute journey.
Kdramas I have watched
78. Reborn Rich

I had been waiting in anticipation for this show after the casting was announced. I started watching it close to when it would finish airing so I wouldn't have to wait for new episodes. I wish I had waited for it to finish airing and heard others opinions of the show.
I found the first episode to be incredibly boring. It did get better but it didn't live up to my expectations. I found all the business talk to be sleep inducing but that might just be me π€·
There were things that I liked: the way Do-jun used his knowledge of the future to make business decisions and the reveal at the end. I didn't see that coming.
Lee Sung-min did an amazing job in his portrayal of Jin Yang-chul. I am astounded Song Joong-ki could pull off playing such a young character but he was very believable at all the different ages.
I am not recommending this as it was verrrrry slow. Unless you are very interested in business or conglomerate companies...give this a skip.
Kdramas I have watched
79. True Beauty

This show is EVERYWHERE and if anyone is talking about second lead syndrome you can be sure this show is mentioned.
I was hooked on this show from the very first episode. It gave me Disney vibes. It features many cliches but in a 'brings a smile to your face' way, not a 'roll your eyes' way.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, it was very funny. Ju-kyung's family was hilarious. I didn't get second lead syndrome π€· I felt there was never a choice between the guys.
The only thing I didn't particularly like was that Ju-kyung was made out to be *SO* ugly but the girl just had a few pimples π And I may be biased, but who's her optometrist? Where was she getting those huge glasses from?? Glasses are trendy now so that DID make me roll my eyes.
Highly recommending this, it's very fluffy and guaranteed to make you laugh.
Kdramas I have watched
80. Lawless Lawyer

This ended up on my list because of the lead actors. I've never seen it mentionedΒ anywhere before so I had zero expectations.
The first episode was SO good. I loved both the lead characters. I also liked the backstory. It did get a little slow around the middle but maybe I'm just impatient.
Seo Yea-ji needs to stop inspiring me to cut my hair because it will never look like hers (I cut mine after watching IOTNBO)
I really liked the little lawfirm family they created. I also loved how the baddies were turning on each other πππ
I'm recommending this if you like law related shows (duh) it's not big on romance so if that's what you're looking for give it a skip.
Kdramas I have watched
81. Bubblegum

I had never heard of this show before but saw a little clip and Lee Dong-wook was in it so...sold!
Loved the sort of siblings/best friends to lovers trope. Particularly enjoyed the childhood flashbacks.
There are other side relationships but none of them had me invested. Okay, I did root for Se-young and Woo-yeon.
The character I was rooting for the most was Hong Yi-seul. I felt really bad for her.
I wasn't interested in the Alzheimer's storyline and that was a huge part of it. Ri-hwan's mother was so unlikable from the beginning that I found it difficult to sympathize with her situation.
I'm on the fence about recommending this one...it did have cute/funny moments and a great lead couple but is that enough...? I wanted more from this show.

82. My roommate is a gumiho

I love fantasy so here I am. When I started this show the FL was super irritating, so much so that I wanted to quit. She was so over the top in her expressions, I didn't know if it was due to the actress or the character. But thankfully she mellowed out as the show goes on.
The first episode had so much happening so quickly, it was alot to take in but thereafter it got easier to follow.
After the FL toned down her craziness she actually became likeable, as did the ML, initially he was quite stiff which I now know was to show the change in his behaviour.
I loved the second lead couple, especially Jae-jin. He was so sweet π₯Ί #boyfriendgoals
I didn't like that they kept trying to force a love triangle, I hate those.
I am recommending this show, just don't judge it by the first episode, it gets better.

83. Crash course in romance

EVERYONE was talking about this show while it aired so I binged it as soon as it was done. I did see people say they didn't sign up for a thriller towards the end but it didn't deter me.
I was expecting it to be good but not this good!! I loved everything about this show! The relationships are just *chef's kiss*
Some of my favourite relationships in the show are between Haeng-seon and Hae-e, Haeng-seon and Yeong-ju okay, you know what, pretty much Haeng-seon's relationship with everyone π€£
This show is so so funny even though it tackles some very serious issues. The ending was amazing, I felt everything was tied up well and it left me with a huge smile on my face.
We'd be here all day if I had to mention everything I liked about the show so just go watch it!
Kdramas I have watched
84. The Glory

I started watching this show after knowing it was a revenge story based on someone's real life bullying experience but that still didn't prepare me for that first episode. It was really disturbing! I was a bit hesitant to watch another revenge show after watching Eve π
I can't do this spoiler free so if you want to avoid spoilers skip to the end.
At first the show felt a little slow but then when it started speeding up it got SO good!! I absolutely loved that everyone she needed to get her revenge on was completely destroyed by the end and all without her getting her hands dirty πππ It was incredible how they turned on each other with the slightest of nudges.
I was a bit puzzled about Yeo-jeong's involvement but it was explained in the final episode. My favourite character was the ajumma π
The only thing I didn't particularly like was the romance, I don't think the show needed it.
I am recommending this show if you like revenge dramas. This one is done so well. Bear in mind it may trigger people who have had similar experiences.
Kdramas I have watched
85. Island

I'll be honest, I didn't know anything about this show but I chose to watch it after seeing images of Cha Eun-woo looking π₯π₯π₯
The show started off well, with some mystery and I was fully invested. But by the end I was left feeling unsatisfied. I had so many questions that were not answered and it felt very rushed.
I loved the whole priest-taking-down-demons-with-cool-weapons thing but is this normal for all priests? Did he have special abilities? How did he get them? Maybe these were explained in the webtoon but I haven't read it.
I liked the back story of the trio, the child actors made me feel more than their adult counterparts so I really enjoyed the episode that focused on the past. I especially didn't like the romance, it felt out of place to me.
Overall it had a good story but it wasn't told in the best way...maybe the show needed more episodes π€·
I'm not recommending this unless you LOVE fantasy and can look past a few shortcomings.
Kdramas I have watched
86. The Heavenly Idol

Again I made the mistake of watching a show just for one single actor. This time it was Kim Min-gue. I didn't know anything about the show apart from him being the ML.
In the first few minutes I was really sceptical about this show. I should have stopped right then π
Firstly the whole concept was really weird but I love a good body swap storyline so I pushed forward. The first half focused on Rembrary pretending to be an idol and that was quite funny. I also liked his relationship with Dal. They are super cute. The grip reaper guy had his moments too.
I hated everything else about this show. What was this other world? I just feel it wasn't explained well or I just slept through the explanation? Was this a cult? A religion? I don't even know. I was waiting to get an explanation where everything clicks together in the final episode and it never happened. I was just left feeling frustrated because I wasted my time watching these 12 episodes. And they threw in some twists in the final episode to confuse me even further.
In case you haven't figured it out, I'm not recommending this show.
