Wait a minute, I just realized there was a bit of foreshadowing to Jang Junwoo’s true nature:

SPOILERS ALERT 🚨

Watch Ep 4 beforehand,

You have been warned

-In Ep 3, they mention that drugs are being sold frequently in market in the states and there is plan to to do the same in Korea. Jungwoo is the only one shown to go to university it the States.

- In Ep 2, when the Chairman was getting a beat down by the hockey player. He has the same figure as Jungwoo. Also to note, the hockey player wore a red, blue and white uniform that looked exactly like the New York Rangers team uniform based in New York. In Ep 3, it is stated that he goes to school in New York.

- In Ep 2, when meeting the chairman, after he left Jungwoo gave him disappointed glare and proceeded to pretty much loudly say how rude he is ( I don’t know but If I were an intern, I wouldn’t loudly badmouth the a client much less a Chairman of a huge company that I am serving until I get settled at least, and now we know he is and why he is so carefree all the time)

-In Ep 4, when coming with Chayoung to the graves, he looks pretty much apathetic almost like he kinda didn’t as care as much and was only comforting her to make her feel better. When Chayoung wanted to quit, he tried stopping her at almost every turn. When finally meeting Vincenzo, it was almost like he was meeting an old friend.🤔

Plus I that scene, he said Vincenzo’s name with full confidence and had a faint smirk when being acknowledged for that. Almost like he knows that Vincenzo for who and what he is. That he is at the same level as him kinda like the two sides of the same coin.

-Also keep in mind that in Ep 3, He says to Chayoung “Without me, who’s going to play along with your skit?”, I feel like that line is somewhat intentional not just about with Chayoung’s acting schemes but like who’s going to play along in their plans and shenanigans.

Kinda like someone would say when their in full control of a game they’re playing. A game of Mafias and Cartels.

I know a lot of them are a stretch but I though they were interesting points.😅

With that note,

In Ep 3, Jungwoo stated that he has a friend from Boston who started a law firm in Korea when asking Chayoung if she wanted to jump ship.

A rival firm? Or a potential obstacle? Maybe included in an interesting plot point in the future?🤔

Anyway, who knew that this bean was the true mastermind...

Wait A Minute, I Just Realized There Was A Bit Of Foreshadowing To Jang Junwoos True Nature:

Who knew there was so much evil in those sweet eyes...

Ok so Vincenzo just ended......😭🥲

The ending was pretty good but honestly the Jang Brother’s story arc got me pretty bad, it was really sad but also got me thinking about the depth of their relationship.

Ok so, SPOILER ALERT 🚨

FOR THE SEASON FINALE(Ep 19-20)

All right, first off, Why why.....WHY DID HANSEO HAVE TO DIE..🥲

Also woah.. Hanseok’s death was well really brutal like “Saw” level torture but then again can’t expect less from a Vincenzo, a guy who will take a chance to turn his business rivals into fertilizer on a bad day so ya.😳☠️💀

Ok while Most would talk about Hanseo, I’m going to delve more on his brother Hanseok/Junwoo.😃

(I’m gonna call him Hanseok here cause that seems to be his real name)

Ok so personal headcanon: Hanseok secretly cared about Hanseo a bit ( Ok first, probably not the incest thing going let’s make that clear here but like a genuine brother/subordinate .)

All right now, before anyone goes about, let me explain :

So There is the whole thing about the Hanseok abusing, not trusting, infantilizing, manipulating, etc. Hanseo (which is not okay andI won’t make excuses for that) but really I think that was his own twisted way of caring for others.

In Ep 12, when Hanseo asked Hanseok to go hunting, he’s genuinely happy like he didn’t doubt an suspicions about the sudden request, yeah maybe it’s his pride and confidence of nothing going wrong in the way but then he goes on about how hunting was a way their Father used to get them to become closer, something he has fond memories of. When Hanseok got shot, his face was of pure betrayal and shock like it didn’t cross for a second that would causing his full trust in his brother to become completely broken. I thought Hanseo was pretty much dead at that point but nope he was still alive albeit the strained relationship.

Fast forward, In Ep. 17 when he got arrested, he looked shocked, and somewhat hurt when his brother turned him to the police. In prison, he even asked Myung Hee to watch over him in not blackmail not murder but watch? (Also there is the whole thing about Hanseo’s mother asking Hanseok to watch over Hanseo, it could be emotional manipulation or maybe it could be him showing a little care)

In Ep 19, Hanseok finally confronted Hanseo with his own gun against him, it looked like Hanseok was going to kill him for real this time. But when Hanseo began accepting his fate, There was a crack of emotion his Hanseok’s face and when the tear began to roll down, there was clear doubt so instead of killing him he just knocked him out. THEN A FEW SCENES LATER HE GAVE THE HOCKEY STICK TO HANSEO AND TOLD HIM TO PICK IT UP. This may be seen as a show of superiority from Hanseok to Hanseo but personally I think this was him giving one last chance to Hanseo despite everything he’s done. When Hanseo began attacking him, he only subdued him on the shoulder and arm, not vital points and not killing him.

In Ep 20, after shooting Chayoung, he was about to Vincenzo when Hanseo directed the gun to him. He could’ve shot him at any moment but instead just told him to get away and they stayed that way for about 20 seconds that is until Hanseo begun insulting and saying Hanseok should never have been born. At that point, Hanseok psyche was just gone, he just shot Chayoung, someone he has clear affection for and then he’s being degraded to the ground by someone he’s as family and a puppet and lower than him ruining his ego and God complex (and we all know how he feels when like sh*t) to which he says screw it and shot him.

But right after that scene, we cut to Hanseok alone in the port pretty much recovering from that adrenaline filled experience then we get a hint of remorse, anger and somewhat regret on his face before throwing the gun to the sea in anger. Now this can be seen him regretting shooting Chayoung and shame from running away from Vincenzo, but this can also be seen as him realizing he just killed his own brother, the only family he has left and was pretty much mentally and emotionally broken at that point. So that’s why he threw away the gun because I think I think at that point he realized he messed up big time and can’t take anything back what he’s done but it’s too late.

All right, so the points may not be very clear,I could be over analyzing or getting the wrong ideas but I kind find it a touching sentiment that Hanseok cared about Hanseo even just a little bit and makes him a really complex character. Again, I’m not condoning what he’s done what he did to Hanseo and other people is horrible. Though with that it does put things into perspective and context should that turn to be true.

Anyway RIP Hanseo, you will forever be in our hearts. 🙏 ♥️
