"When I say that I do not know, you will surely use it against me, but I implore you to consider the alternative. If I claimed to know the secrets of death, you’d have no way to verify my answer. It would be so easy to fool the world into thinking I hold that information, but I choose to tell the truth, and the truth is that this line of questioning isn’t about death.
It’s about life, so here’s what I will tell you: All those moments when you realized you were changing, when you looked back on life and could no longer recognize the man you once were, those are proof of life. It is when we stop changing that we truly die, for change will follow us as long as we are cognizant of the surrounding world. Overview: Kierre is the protagonist of Kierre's Tale. He is an android who believes himself to be a deity.
Powers/Abilities:
-Through a complex upgrade to his system, he can shift into an empty layer of space time and manipulate pseudo-gravitation fields to move incredibly fast and bend electromagnetic fields and waves.
-Despite his delusions, Kierre is highly intelligent even for an android.
Weaknesses:
-Kierre is not very physically strong or durable.
Personality: Kierre is an eccentric individual. He enjoys cognitive pursuits and trapping his opponents in catch twenty-two's. It is his philosophy that life is change and that eternity is death. He is cognizant of the emotions of others but struggles with empathy. He has a manipulative streak, which aids him in acquiring followers.

Overview: Ruben was the heir of a powerful family that got rich from Salix Pharmaceuticals. She was abducted by Captain Oortiz's pirate crew for her sword fighting skills. She agreed to travel with Kierre on the condition that she could kill Oortiz, which she did without remorse. She's now the captain of the Starlight Rook.
Powers/Abilities:
- Ruben is exceptionally skilled with swords. Her talent was valuable enough for Oortiz to not only spare her life but take her in as an apprentice. She wields a plasma blade, specifically a cutlass, as her weapon of choice. When switched on, the edge of the weapon crackles gold and slices through flesh with a cauterizing heat.

Personality:
Ruben despises her family for their corrupt practices and only excepted the title of heir so that she could one day turn the family around. She loves the pirate life in general, especially stealing from the rich. She likes being in control and is a natural leader.
