kyro chuckles, smile growing wider as he takes note of her enthusiasm. he's a clean person, likes to be tidy, but his biggest problem is time and his often lack of it. " ah, well, according to my mother i've got quite the reflection, " he jokes with warmth, playful glint in his eyes. " what a shame i can't admire it on my countertops. " he leans in, lowers his voice as if she's about to let him in on a big secret. " are these special ingredients something you're willing to share, or is it a top-secret recipe ? "
maya watched as the crinkle of his brows gave away a slight sense of confusion. maya's lips then curved into a very knowing smile. she had seen that puzzled look before. especially because of the fact that it wasn't the first time she had ever mentioned it. " well. " she began. " maya clean is like over the top clean. you could scrub a countertop so much that you can see the light and your own reflection coming off of it. not a singular bit of dirt in sight! that kind of clean. " she responded with a shrug of her shoulders. " it's certainly not that hard to achieve. especially with my special cleaning ingredients! a little bit of maya clean magic will certainly do the trick! "
there’s something endearing about how serious she takes cleaning — like it’s an art form. to him it's just another thing that needs to be done. he almost wishes it was a fun task for him, but it's simply not. " you're telling me all this time i've been using fancy products and all i really needed was some vinegar and citrus fruit ? " he sinks back, impressed look upon his face. " usually i would say there's no need, but i'm sensing this is fun for you. so if you want to, i could absolutely pay you to clean my countertops. " it somehow sounds like some weird inuendo, but he means it quite literally.
cleaning and being tidy certainly was time consuimg. and laila took it very seriously. especially because of the fact that she liked for her apartment and things to be done a certain way. taking the time to do things correctly was something she took great pride in. " are you saying that you need help cleaning your countertops? because i could do it. " she leans in close to be able to share the secret with him. " this isn't top secret at all. all it is, is vinegar and lemon juice. and let me tell you! it works absolute wonders!"
" well, then it's a good thing i never broke anything, isn't it ? " he retorts, though he can see where she's coming from in a sense. if anyone was to break any of his instruments, he'd most likely lose his shit. while he wasn't actually attempting to break her belongings, he simply enjoyed seeing how worked up she got. why ? he isn't sure. " probably not, " kai sinks back into his seat, shrugs casually. but a smirk threatens to push against the side of his mouth. his brow soon raises at her statement. " well who's gonna do them when you burnout ? " the male chuckles, shakes his head. " no, it's not the only way. " there was music, writing, reading. he enjoyed a lot of things, mostly on the creative spectrum. but sometimes even that came with negativities. " but it's the quickest way. probably the most fun, too. have you ever tried it ? " a moment of pause, and he's leaning forwards again, gaze catching hers. " do you want to ? "
laila knew that kai had to of been just wanting to mess with her. whether he considered doing so fun or not ... she really didn't think that it was at all. maybe this was her being too serious. usually, she knew how to have fun with things. she ended up giving him a look; taking a beat before speaking. "yes, please do. the last thing i need is for them to be ruined. you do know how much they cost to replace one, right? as the saying goes... you break it. you buy it. seems fair enough to me. " a raise of her eyebrow soon followed right at his comment. " do i even want to know where you were going with that joke, or? "when it came to her trying to take the edge of, it depended. most of the time it took her a while until she was able to just relax. " i don't, usually. i've got a lot to do. and who else is going to do it all besides for me. " watching the mimicking move he made with his fingers evidently showed her what he was talking about. "so, you just smoke? that's the only way that you know how to relax? "
