i had the most amazing thoughts about trans/genderbent john fenwick (who i will be calling femwick whenever he womans)(still canonically called Fenwick tho) while listening to spotify at school during art class wtf

two songs in particular

1st one was I/Me/Myself - Will Wood The song's not about being trans and it's more about frustration with the limitations of gender roles, but the lyrics fucking vibe with femwick The lines "lost in what you think of me" and "I wish I could be a girl, and that way you'd wish I could be your girlfriend, boyfriend" especially. ("You" is Shrewsbury lmfao) I have a whole storyline planned out but basically it goes:

Fenwick (pre-transition) develops crush on Shrewsbury, who doesn't reciprocate it (he's straight) but lets Fenwick crush because it never hurt anyone Anyways Fenwick gets caught plotting against William, bill of attainder passed, on his way to getting executed n all that. Except he escapes (His wife helps him, but dies as a result. Rip Mary Fenwick thank you for dying for the Ferry (FENWICK x BERRY SHIP NAME LMAO) agenda) Fenwick then decides to Femwick because yay guess who has a new identity and won't get discovered by the government? (dunno what her new name would be yet) Also cuz she thinks she can get Shrewsbury now that she a ✨woman✨+ new identity with no connection to anything that has ruined berry's life Finds out Shrewsbury left for the continent and decides to just lay low and hope he comes back. He does, but only for her to find out Shrewsbury has a wife who he is LOYAL AF to so uh Idk what to do from here lets just say Femwick is rlly sad and she tells berry about her crush on him and something something he figures out who she and then whatever comes to mind next :,)

next song is She Likes a Boy - Nxdia This is the genderbent AU "She likes a boy" "And I'm not a boy" what else do I say 🫢

But yeah obv both Femwick and Berry are girlies now and Berry is once again straight because I like to make Femwick suffer. This one has the same plot except Femwick was never tried or whatever and her husband (idk what to rename Mary Fenwick yet) was the one who got executed. Berry goes to the continent yada yada and marries Angelo Marquis de Paleotti (male Adelhida) and Femwick is once again sad. EXCEPT SHE TURNS YANDERE THIS TIME AND SUBTLY TRIES TO MURDER ANGELO LIKE 300 TIMES ASFHGFSHGFHSFHD to no avail and gets her ass kicked in the end by Fernanda Paleotti (Angelo's sister/Adelhida's brother Ferdinando) and fucking dies anyway
