I don’t talk a lot about religion, think I mentioned being Christian once, but to be specific I’m a lapsed Catholic.

I was raised by a catholic family, but they aren’t very good Catholics, they often don’t go to church, most haven’t read the bible, were against confessions, discarded some parts of the Bible in favor of science, etc.

It led to me having a somewhat confusing religious upbringing. I never read the full bible and my understanding of God is a weird mix of the few parts I read and personal interpretation.

My main reasons to not engaging with the church are basically:

- I always found their activities boring.

- I hate how annoyingly bigoted the church and it’s members can be, can’t stand some of these people.

- I’m queer (self explanatory).

Why I don’t call myself an ex catholic? My understanding of God is so tied to my personal interpretation that I never felt the need to stop believing. I only feel the need to distance myself from the institutions.

Big fan of angels being autistic btw. "How does an entity like that have a neurological condition" Well they can act like that. Angels having traits that read as autistic. Incomprehensible being trying for their best mimicry of human behavior. You understand
