On Doing Ciphers in Public

Okay so I journal a lot, right? And in public places a lot too, specifically at church. Now because of where I sit in my high school group there are people behind and above me, so I become paranoid that they're going to read my journal. So to fix this I. I decided to just. Use Ford's substitution cipher whenever I wanted to vent or write private things. I memorized it a while ago and I can do it pretty fast.

Con: It takes me over twice as long to read entries in cipher.

Pro: They can't read what I'm writing, because even if they watch the show I doubt they have it memorized. Mission accomplished!

Con: It probably looks like I'm writing in some sort of witchcraft language, which isn't great in a church.

Pro: I get to see some baffled looks sometimes whenever I look behind me or write on a whiteboard.

Pro: Some people ask about it which means I get to infodump as much as I think I can about ciphers and codes before they realize their mistake. This is great, especially since my church has whiteboards scattered around sometimes.

In conclusion, there are more pros than cons, and I see no problems with this. Be weird, everyone!

Warm regards,

Sam
