All I’m sayin is Layla seems to have some of Marlene’s background… and maybe they’ll keep like one thing consistent with Steven from the comics…

I felt sad when marc said "so you kissed her, but you also told her the truth about why I've been pushing her away.. and that was unexpected". He just sounded defeated and stuff.

Get the man some help pls

I might be looking in to it too much but Steven is honest as we can see that and I suppose Marc knows it as well. Layla wants someone honest like Steven and Marc isn't as much honest for he just wants to protect her and I understand where both sides are coming from.

I just think that Marc and Layla are not compatible with eachother.

Layla is mostly driven her emotion. Her anger and feeling betrayal get's in the way thus making them argue and it kinda blinds her from understanding Marc's perspective.

Marc knows he lacks in certain things and those things he lacks are possessed by Steven perhaps like being honest (though ik he wants to keep her safe). He tried telling Layla that but she still mad and blamed him for her father's death which was caused by his coworker?partner? of sorts.

Marc just accepts it and let's Steven do his own things since he can see Layla is happy with Steven.
