Gideon the ninth: the locked tomb
I listened to the audiobook instead of reading the physical book, and from what I have seen it is a rather good adaptation of it. The main thing that brought me to this book was necromancy. I am a big fan of it in most if not all forms of media, especially comics. And this form of necromancy was fairly different than the rest I have seen in the past few months. It differs in the fact that the things being controlled needed something from the world around them to be made. I like that it feels like there is a real price for doing necromancy, this is shown by Harrow bleeding out of every hole in their face after trying to solve the puzzle that her god has given to her. Gideon in particular was a very entertaining character, from her banter with Harrow to her love of the only woman who did not try to kill her.
The heron
At first this podcast shows us a girl that is under the thumb of her mother. But as we get more and more entrenched into the story of this sad girl we see that both her mother and her therapist are not the right folks to help this poor girl. There are a lot of things that can turn you away from this podcast and in no way do I blame you. And they are not in this order but as i remember them, school shooting, parental abuse, homophobia, and pedofela. I listened to this podcast a good while ago so I am a bit fuzzy on the details but it did not feel finished. I feel that there are more things that they can explore on how she gets better or if ever. I rank it a C as it feels unfinished or i am just unsatisfied
Greenhouse
This podcast does a lot of things really well but what i really like is that they do not fall in love at first sight or first letter. At first Rose does not what to talk with Abigail as talking with her is part of her fathers will so she can keep his house. Abigail on the other hand sends a full letter with the intention of trying to talk to Rose. This podcast is short and plentiful, the longest episode is a bit over 10 minutes and at its shortest is 4 minutes and has 20 episodes. You can listen to this in at most 2 days. This podcast is so good I am changing the rank to a grade and i grade this A
Me and au
At the time of my first listen I was on a huge LGBT+ romance kick. But as this podcast has a far bit to do with fanfics I thought that folks on here would love it. When I first listened to this podcast it was not finished but it is now long finished so it's great and I like it. I love the idea of your dad dying and to keep his house you have to send letters (which is so gay) and you fall in love with a lady that grows flowers in her greenhouse (i do that) and she does not know anything about tv or movies. It gets an A for its grade, it does all the things I love in a podcast.
City of ghosts
This podcast is about a lesbian private detective that sees ghosts and her sister is about to marry into a very powerful family. Each episode has its own art that has to do with the contents of the episode. I really liked that. MOISÉS ARIAS plays PRIZRAK who was one of the best characters on the show and MOISÉS ARIAS is also in Nacho Libre and i love that movie. This podcast is fairly regular, nothing really pokes out but it does its job in telling its story. This podcast gets a 85/100
I was blessed with two talents. Writng poems, and playing music. I will NOT use these to bring comfort, peace, or enjoyment to others. I WILL use this to torment my girlfriend who gets flustered easily.
