When I was about 4 or under TWICE i stepped on them while running out barefoot I have one more maybe situation due to it being when I was camping and came back with my whole left upper arm swollen. The doctor said it was bee (and gave me nothing for it the bastard Like TOTALLY unconcerned at that level of swelling and just said it'd go away on it's own. Later different doctor for different incident said mosquito so original verdict of bee is suspect. AND gave me meds for cellulitis. It could also be a spider bite. I just react strongly to insects and assume I'm just VERY allergic in the 'step away from anaphylactic' kin But frankly if I ALSO react that strongly to bees I wouldn't be surprised. And despite people questioning how others have gotten stung Wasps exist and also I've had close calls even though I'm careful. Accidentally stuck my hand on one and it buzzed off before Or some get really up close and personal with my face. Sometimes I don't know they're there because I'd been outside a while.
