The eclipse is passing over my part of the country right now and we just saw totality which was so incredible and so strange that it makes me realize just how much the ancient civilizations must have lost their gourds when this happened. I've seen partial eclipses before but watching one at totality helps me understand just how

those people must have been and makes their apocalyptic symbolism seem a lot more justified.
