If we’re talking about curses in the life series, or at least giving them a name, can we give a name to Martyn’s curse? Or at least something- cuz as far as I know Martyn has either betrayed or intended to betray every person he allied with.

Third Life: while he didn’t actually betray Ren, he sure did intend to!

Last life: need I explain his dynamic with the other southlanders and how he didn’t ally with Grian (a southlanders) and even killed the dude?

Double life: he constantly went against Cleo’s wishes, he tried to kill Scott and allied with Pearl at one point despite how Cleo felt about her

Limited Life: he attempted to fill the ‘gap’ in Ties team and be Team ‘Time’ then lied to Scott saying they dragged him into it- he also killed Scott at the very end (Scott forgave him so it’s not really much of a betrayal)

He is literally the king of deceit and backstabbing people
