Yes zelink is OK and cool whatever

But please hear me out.

They radiate sibling energy. Like Zelda is the older (autism and adhd swag) sister who's more of the 'I will do stuff and things because these are neat. Do not bug me. Please.'

And Link is the younger (adhd and tism) brother who just taps her on the shoulder and signs "watch this. This is so fucking cool."

And does some of the dorkiest fucking shit swinging around a sword and Zelda is just "that's very neat but uhmm there's a quest I need u to do. Go find me flowers" and he's like 👍

And she finally gets peace and quiet til Link comes back with 37 flowers pulled from the roots 💀

The first Zelda game I played was Ocarina of Time. In that game, I always headcanoned that Link and Zelda were separated twins. I still think that headcanon holds water in that particular game.

It unfortunately means that I have continued to interpret them as siblings in every other game, even though it doesn't make sense in most of them. And boy does my brain go "????" when I see Zelink art.

That's the downside of Zelda canon being "idk whatever sounds cool for this game" 🤣

SO weather Zelink is cannon or not, I don’t think I’ll ever see Zelda as anything less than a sister to Link. They are both chaotic sibling energy to me. (I think cannon could be read either way) I don’t know though, I’m happy to hear other people’s thoughts on their relationship!
