I got around to finishing this piece yesterday. I’m not sure if the hall walls look that great but I tried my best to make it fit the scene.

Attack Fourteen for 2024, for @emarraharts . I saw an attack Emarrah did last year and saw her OCs and fell in love with these two. I think, so far, this is my favourite piece I've done.

While I agree that this is kinda upsetting that Zelda doesn't get a sword or bow, I feel like it has less to do with it being because of Zelda and more to do with them trying to shake up the 2d Zelda formula more. I also think that it's actually a tongue in cheek reference to the wand of gamelon, and that they were kinda thinking that if they redid it and did it *right* that they could make it kinda like ultra hand. And I think that was more the idea behind it. Again, I agree it sucks we don't get other items to use, and that it would be badass to have Zelda use a bow or sword, but in 2d Zelda games in particular I think it makes sense given how puzzle focused and not combat centric they are. Link even has a very similar item he uses in alttp, and Zelda does use a bow and badass magic attacks in age of calamity. I do really really wish she'd get the cool rapier sword from twilight princess, though. Definitely one of my favorite Zelda incarnations purely from how badass she is, but I digress.

You were posting about games targeted towards women the other day, and today, nintendo released a trailer about the new TLoZ game with Zelda as the playable character, and they fucking took everything cool from the game away because it wasn't girly. You can't even fight enemies. You have to either throw stuff at them or summon minions to fight for you. The more I think about it, the more upset I get.

wow holy shit. i looked it up and like..i won't say i was right but WOW was that accidental foreshadowing. not sure if you saw my addition but i straight up talked about zelda

literally having a female protagonist made them go "well we need to change how the game works". i feel vindicated here and also grumpy. hurrayyy "first playable zelda protagonist but sure hope you weren't expecting her to have the same level of skill or agency as link!"

I am sure you will find this easy to believe due to the high (and masterful) quality of these fine homestuck wares I pedal but this image took about 5 app crashes, two hours of lag, my phone sputtering and being drained of battery and almost dying on the spot to create this

Ok so I know its hard to read so this is my idea for this kind of... au I guess? *ahem* 'Zonai were a race of super powerful alicorns and Hylians used to be unicorns. The royal family of Hyrule is still alicorns, but they are not born that way, and are much less powerful. (Zelda got hers when she got her powers in BOTW) The unicorn was slowly bred out, for lack of a better term, of Hylians and they became earth ponies. The Rito are pegasi, obvi, and the Zora look, I guess like weird fish-dog thingies? Anyway, Link gets a horn from Rauru instead of an arm for the magical powers.( what would the powers be named in pony-speak i wonder? Ultrahoof would be pretty funny.) Feel free to add on if you'd like! :>
