shout out to my favorite artist of all time, Louis Wain, 1860-1939
Beatrix Potter lived from 1866 to 1943, meanwhile Louis Wain lived from 1860 to 1939.
With this being said, and taking in consideration the similarities between their art and it's themes. Could be there a point in time where they met? It is extremely likely that they acknowledged eachother's work. Couldn't find anything on it unfortunately.
But hopefully they're friends in heaven. Having tea parties with their precious, lovely and silly critters.

I just finished The Electrical Life Of Louis Wain and holy shit it fucked me up so bad. I literally sobbed for about an hour after finishing the film. The cinematography was absolutely stunning, every little change in Louis' perspective and how he saw the world was perfectly crafted to convey an insane amount of emotion. Benedict Cumberbatch's performance was amazingly well done, he made me feel so many emotions I both want to hug him and slap him for making me so distraught at the same time. Anyway I'd most definitely recommend watching this movie if you're in the right headspace for some sad shit (however I'd look up the trigger warnings for the film before watching because it deals with intensely heavy subjects and themes)
