I’m tired of the interpretation that Wild is inherently less skilled and heroic than his pre calamity self. That compared to AoC Link, he failed and he’s weak and all that bullshit. I’m one of those fics where they meet and AoC Link doesn’t like Wild for some bullshit reason, I want Wild to realize something and snap at him.

Wild didn’t have weeks of forewarning and armies at his back. He was separated from all of his friends and taken by surprise with the armies of corrupted guardians. He had to come out of his own tomb with no memories and no strength to crawl back to the place he was back then. He defeated Ganon alone. The only help he got was just to get onto the divine beasts. He had to kill the fragments of Ganon that had murdered his friends all by himself. They become the only help he has in the final battle.

They don’t even fight the same form of calamity ganon. AoC Ganon is a complete wimp compared to the monstrosity of botw calamity ganon (and I know that’s literally only bc they wanted to make him a playable character) botw also had a second form that was implied to be the most powerful version of him because he was giving up on reincarnation and just wanted to use all of his evil energy to become a fiery pig made of goop.

There’s a bit of a difference there huh, it’s almost laughable to compare them.

The difference between AoC Link and Wild is pretty simple. One of them has armies, the other one is the army.

All Links had wildly different circumstances even those we don't know a lot about Like say First or the Hero of Men or whomst the Link before Hyrule after Legend is and it's unfair to try and compare them like that when they all had wildly (pun unintended) different circumstances Calamity not only had proper training but he also had proper back up Plus the version's of Ganon he fights are definitely a downgrade from Wild's Calamity Ganon and the Blights Still possessed Sheikah Tech but it didn't have the time to grown even stronger after biding it's time for 10000 + 100 All Wild basically had was spite. arguably his barehands if you're a speedrunner and the abilities dead people gave him and a weakened Fi Which I have thoughts about but it will be for another post Plus the Beasts and on the finale Zelda coming in clutch to help him out To me the Original Attempted Calamity Hero was likely strong by himself sure but to build the Beasts and Guardians would take time And he was the first one to face the Malice as we see it in BOTW you can't tell me this man also wasn't out of his depth even with training Plus his Zelda and Fi as it's the first time we see this form of Ganon (Thoughts for another post I'll write later) And if it really is his arm in TOTK then he definitely didn't make it out unscathed or at all which doesn't bode well for the implications Hylian History Erases Information on Purpose to Look Better remember that character erasure probably ain't beneath them Let Wild be strong and go off and let him and Calamity and Fia coexist in peace without comparing them based on extremely and instead of disliking one another they all respect and are super proud of each other for just surviving that entire mess legendofzelda linked universe link LOZ lu wild loz analysis

There are 11 playable links in the loz, 12 if oracles is actualy his own link, 16 if you count triforce hero's and hyrule legends, and 19 if you count the four swords hero as 4 separate links.

List with games featuring same link grouped:

• Skyward sword

• Minish cap

• Four swords & four swords adventures

• ocarina of time and majora's mask

• twilight princess

• Wind waker & phantom hourglass

• Spirit tracts

• The original loz & the adventure of link

• Link between worlds

• Breath of the wild

• Link to past, oracles, & links awakening

• hyrule legends

• triforce heroes

Explanations of oddities in the counting:

It is possible that the link from oracles is his own hero.

There are 3 heroes in trifoce heros.

The reason why I put triforce heroes and hyrule legends in a separate grouping is due to uncertainty over if they are considered cannon to the loz universe.

-> there is also the hero of 10000 years ago who is mentioned in botw, but has no game.

-> There is also the First Hero from that comic if you want to count him as cannon. (personally I don't. It's not that I don't like him, it's just it conflicts with what I understand the intro to skyward sword is saying.)

So, that would make the current max number of links -if you count all as cannon- to be 21.

Fun note! The four swords link is a lovely example of why the official timeline is worthless. It is more than heavy-handedly implied that it is the same link in the two four swords games.

Considering the people of hyrule's habit of forgetting the hero's name the moment he dies, I find it extremely unlikely that they would mention link by name if it's not the same link. Also considering hyrule's long standing tradition of forgetting about where major big bad evils are sealed, I have very, very, VERY many doubts that they would just happen to have been keeping meticulous track of where a minor wind sorcerer is seald. Need more convincing? So according to the timeline, the minish cap and four swords are right next to each other. By the events of four swords the hero's name from minish cap has been forgotten. Now if the timeline is to be believed, an absurd amount of time and one timeline split later they still remember the story of the four swords perfectly. Yet have no recollection of oot or tp. That doesn't line up. So I'm calling BS on the timeline.

Oh you want more math? Sure thing!

Only counting links that are for sure cannon = 11 links

If oracles is separate link = 12 links

Counting four swords as 4 links = 14 links

FS = 4 links + oracles = 15 link

FS + oracles + hero of 10000 years ago = 16 links

I could go on, but I don't really feel like doing that right now.
