I like to think that Lucifer sees his past self in Satan

Like his early celestial realm days where he was just as hungry for knowledge as current day Satan, eager to learn about the world around him and even more eager to make change in it.

And besides his wings turning black, I HC that Lucifer went though other physical changes after he fell

Like how his Golden Blonde locks faded to a Deep Black at an instant, or how his Beautiful Emerald eyes clouded up with tears of frustration as they shifted to the same color as the Piercing Blood trickling down his lower back as he tore out his Platinum White Wings just moments before they turned black..

Satan was damn near a carbon copy of a young Lucifer. It really did take everything in him not to breakdown and obliterate everything in his path when he found old worn-out pictures of ‘The Celestial Realm’s Prized Morningstar’ while planting a prank in his Study.

Seeing him in his prime, seeing the sheer resemblance between them, it crushes him on the inside, almost solidifying the fear that he’ll never be able to fully separate from himself from the man who he hates the most.
