Sometimes, women mean the complete opposite of what they say, if you tell a woman (a gf/wife, sister, friend or even mother) that you are going to bed or smth, while they stay up to read or something else and you decide not to do what you said you would, they might say, "Fuck off, you said you were going to bed, then do so." They sometimes may not mean it, if they were already against you going to do something it is even less likely for them to mean it. What the person might mean is "Oh, you are back? I wanted to do something with you (This could be just being around you, doing an activity with you or anything really) but I thought you were going to do something else." It is also possible that they still want you to join them in said activity. Either way, it is better to explain what you mean when you can, I hope this let you know enough to understand that sometimes women don't mean what they say (Still, they can mean it) and though it can be confusing, try to figure it out if you really care about them and want to understand them.
