I can't get over Marito and Arajin's first confrontation.

This dude, this unhinged looney tune of a man rolls up, on what I can only presume is a stolen carousel animal, wants to start beef with the punk on a date with his little sister (girl, yes your bro is hot, but no. stop it.) so what is his response to scare our protagonist off?

Why, introduce himself with the most seductive bedroom eyes, practically moan his name as he strikes a GQ pose, and lolling his tongue around like a horny lizard of course! Hey, the punk can't mess around with his sister if he's fucking him instead! 🙃

I'm really bummed they made the only female character in Bucchigiri?! an incestuous two faced brat.

Like, I love Mahoro's design, her VA's in Japanese and English are really good and funny, and I think she's pretty justified viewing Arajin as a perverted weirdo (not that it excuses trying to use him). And honestly, I'm all for her having unlikable character traits (support women's rights and wrongs 😁). I just wish the writers gave her more to do past "fake cutie who wants to bone her brother". Arajin is a flawed person but I find his character genuinely interesting and I want to see where the plot takes him. Mahoro is sort of just ..there, to either be a pain, swoon over Marito, and now be threatened with SA by the creep Emperor (who I'm hoping only did that to get under Arajin's skin and goad him into revealing his connection with Senya) I hope they do more with her in the story.

Loved the new episode, we got some character growth for a lot of them. I was not expecting Shindo to go that far but I’m not surprised in the end. What do you guys think?

I loved it, definitely feels like the end of Act 1. Characters and their motivations are set up, we get a good sense of the world the show is set in, lots of fun references to Aladdin and 1000 and 1 nights lore, art style is awesome, the soundtrack fucking slaps, and the pacing was excellent. I loved how we either got more background/insight on some characters (with more still to learn and look forward to! Super curious about the roles Ichiya and Mitsukuni will play in the plot) and development for Arajin. I'm on pins and needles for what happens next!

Dammit I wish the writers didn't make her love for Marito weirdly romantic. Seriously, Mahoro is such a fun crazy ass character. My jaw dropped during this scene, I momentarily simped like Arajin. Don't get me wrong, she’s horrible, but most of these characters aren't particularly "good" people.

Look, there's one thing that won't make sense if it happens in Bucchigiri, which is that Mahoro stays with Arajin because it's very clear that she doesn't like him. I don't know if Bucchigiri will be a yaoi but I would love it if it were possible to make several good couples and constructed assets.

Oh no doubt. Like maybe Mahoro won't see Arajin as much of a loser, but I highly doubt they'll actually get together. It would be super hilarious if Mahoro ended up fixated on Arajin as he gets stronger only for him to become more preoccupied with his conflict with Matakara, but probably not gonna happen.

Going by the director's previous work and, well, in general most anime won't just have canonically gay characters and romances unless it's explicitly stated to be a BL/GL/yaoi/yuri, etc. It's obvious they're going for the bromances, subtext, entendres, queer coded characters, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if we get actual lgbtq+ representation. Like if the narrative makes the subtext just text and there is a gay relationship in bucchigiri?! I would be so fucking happy.

The man is a delusional simp but like...it's super funny to me his main quirk among this cast of crazy is he's just a horny ass teenager who really wants a girlfriend and doesn't want to be in a gang war (guessing he got it from his in love with love mama)

Also, I do unironically dig how he was ready to take Mahoro's last name, no debate, no second thoughts, only how cute it would be cause Jin Arajin is the same thing backwards. Definition of "me and my girl don't fight she tells me what to do and I shut up and do it".

This is hands down the funniest fucking thing he has ever said an it so true.

If Ara was more like this throughout the show I would love him. Just someone who was 100% like "what are you talking about we are in high school chill the fuck out." I love how I paused right before mahoro says some outta pocket bullshit.

I know she is, she only cares about her brother. So she is really about to go full crazy OR cry and that's gonna make Ara idk do some bullshit.

Listen....ds nice as it is to see confirmation Zabu is alive and the excitement and dread that's steadily being built up for Arajin and Matakara's confrontation and the reveal of what happened to make Ichiya think Senya was looking down on him and all that drama....it is too funny to me that someone (Mahoro? Outa?) is holding a kebab under Marito’s nose like he's fucking scooby doo being bribed to consciousness with a scooby snack omfg 🤣🤣🤣
