BORRA HEADCANNONS: normal

- I imagine Borra not giving a single fuck about pda. If a guy is eyeing you up, he will not hesitate to just grab you and kiss you.(if you're okay with that, of course)

- He loves showing you off to other Fae, especially if you're a human.

UDO HEADCANNONS

- I imagine Udo having a quiet and soft personality, as he trains the children to fly and teaches them.

- He'd definitely notice you at first, but would only watch from afar to see if you're really as compatible as he thinks you are.

- To contrast with his white feathers and horns, I definitely see him being interested in a Jungle Fae. Their bright rainbow colors would just pull him in and you can occasionally see him staring at yours.

- If you're a human, it would take him some time to approach you, but if you start by approaching him and talking to him, he would definitely warm up to you.

- He even invites you to his teaching lessons (before the confession), and the kids absolutely ADORE you, since they've never met such a kind human before.

- But if you kiss his cheek infront of them, you better bet that they'll be teasing for DAYS

- His confession was breathtaking and honestly left you in tears. When Fae choose a partner, it's like penguins - they mate for life. So you knew that him confessing his love to you meant that he was so endowed by you that he wanted to make you his wife one day.

- When he learns that you love his accent, he uses it AND his language to his advantage.

UDO HEADCANNONS: half breed reader

- You would be the daughter of Maleficent and King Stefan, being born with no wings but the proud horns of your mother.

- Stefan abandoned you because you didn't look human, and since then, you've hated your horns and would use your magic to conceal them just to fit in with the other humans.

- Your self-hatred grew very bad, seeping into your adult life even, but it all changed when your mother's kind was discovered and you had met Udo.

- It was an undeniable yet unexplainable connection. The moment your eyes met, you felt warm and giddy inside, and Udo was so curious about your past.

- You opened up to him and he sympathized with you, often complimenting you on how beautiful and stunning your horns looked, and he made you feel like the most important woman in the world.

- But then, you wanted to see the skies. You weren't born with wings, and Udo volunteered to help with that. He carried you bridal style into the skies and you felt like you both flew for hours, just admiring everything and you thanked him endlessly for this.

- And that's where he confessed to you, only wanting to give you everlasting love and happiness and that his goal was to make you the happiest woman in all of the Moores.

- You shared a kiss that night, wanting nothing more than to be with Udo, but what you didn't know was that Maleficent saw the whole thing.

- And approved.

- She was sad, yes, because she knew that this meant you weren't her little flower anymore and that you needed to start your new life with the man who loved you and treasured your uniqueness.

- "You may mate with my daughter, and I know that your promises are true and you have good intentions, but if I ever catch a single tear on her face, the last thing you shall see will be your death"

It was like breathing to you both.

It just felt so. . .natural.

"And here is the Moores," Your best friend, Aurora, said as you both walked towards it and you were absolutely amazed by its beauty.

"Aurora, it is. . .it's so green!" She giggled at your reaction.

"I mean, you know how the lands are mostly conquered by big and luxurious castles. You don't see much wildlife," You revealed, being a princess yourself.

"Oh, there's so much more than just wildlife, (Y/N). Come, you must see Udo and Maleficent!"

"Oh, how is she?" As you both got caught up in conversation, one of the Dark Fey carefully watched as you both walked into the Moores.

And it was it's guardian, Borra.

He only saw your backside and your royal attire, but that only meant trouble to him. A simple marriage can't fix everything, and he was determined to keep anyone who gave off the slightest vibe of trouble out.

And so, as you were walking through, you spotted Maleficent talking to another one of, well, her!

"She's. . .not the only one?" You asked, marvelled, but before she could answer, giant wings whooshed the wind behind you as something, or rather someone, landing right behind you.

"Not anymore."

He expected you to turn around and run off in fear as he glared down at you, but he didn't expect was to meet his mate.

Time completely slowed as you made eye contact, and Maleficent was just about ready to scold him, but Udo held her back.

"What are you-?"

"Watch."

And she did.

And she saw it all.

You weren't scared, you weren't terrified, but rather intrigued and curious. His eyes are a bright yellow with specks of orange, dancing around like flames, and they stared into your eyes as if he just saw the world flash before his eyes. It was like he was staring into the milky way, and absolutely enamored by your beauty.

"Hello. . ." Oh, and your voice. It sounded like honey and silk. He just wanted to hear it all day.

But, he felt awkward. He was determined to scare you, but now all he wanted to do was protect you.

"M-My Queen, who is this?" He quickly turned to Aurora, who smirked at him with a knowing gaze.

"What was that?" Maleficent asked Udo.

"That was a mate bond, and you just witnessed the first one to happen with a human."

- Would your genes and his mix? Being two different species? What if this hurts the baby? What if your child is bullied for being different?

- But all those thoughts went away when you have birth to a Dragonkin baby boy.

- He had your wings and tiny canines, but his fathers sharp features and dashing eyes. You named him Ahren.

- You would later have twin Fey girls, but for now, you focused on your small family and loved Borra more and more each day for loving you.

Udo Headcannons: Human

(Some NSFW!!)

- Udo found out you both were mates after a year of friendship, when his feathers became ploomier on the day of your birthday.

- You loved him dearly, and he loved you, so hey, why not?

- You were a simple common woman and ran into Udo while sketching the creatures of the Moors. He watched you from a perch and was fascinated with the way you drew.

- You ended up drawing him A LOT. He sneakily takes some of them and acts quite innocent when you ask where they've gone.

- You had many human friends and many female Dark Fey friends, and they all asked you the same question:

"How do you two, you know. . .do it?"

- And to be honest, you guys haven't.

- Yes, you've had some naughty dreams, and so did he, but he never felt comfortable initiating anything in fear of hurting you or making you uncomfortable.

- It all came to a stop when he wouldn't even hold you in his arms anymore, and you were fed up with it.

- "Why don't you touch me anymore?! Am I that revolting? Do you not. . .do you not love me anymore?"

- And oh how that last question broke his heart.

- He explained his reasons and you sympathized with him. You reassured him that there was absolutely no way he could hurt you, and if he did, you'd let him know.

- So, things returned back to their lovey dovey ways, until one night at your home.

- You were ready and you wanted to show him that. So, you dressed up in a cheeky short nightgown that you embarrassingly bought a few nights ago.

- "Darling, one of the children said the funniest-" He had to hold back SO MUCH the second he saw you.

- You initiated the passionate kiss, even going as far as to remove some of his articles of clothing, but by God did he do the rest.

- He placed gentle kisses along every inch of your body, treasuring it all and loving the looks you'd make because of it.

- He was very gentle with you, as it was your first time, but with how he moved you were shocked afterwards when he revealed that it was his as well.

- You were also very surprised to find that he was very vocal with his moans. The usual quiet Dark Fey? Now loud with pleasure.

- You worked hard for over a hundred years, dedicating your life to this, and yes, you've convinced many lands and people that you work in the name of nature, but not all could be convinced.

- Aurora called you in because she heard of you working so hard to prove your faith was pure and just, and wanted to help now that she was Queen of Ulstead.

- She assigned Borra to protect you, as you received many death threats from the residents who accused you of using your magic to trick Aurora.

- Borra was weary of you. After all, you radiated the same powerful energy as Maleficent, maybe even more, and kept his eye on you.

"Your power. . .it feels unnatural."

". . .I am a witch, what do you expect?"

- Poachers were still a thing and there was a high price for Borras' wings and horns, and they decided to strike at dawn.

- You awoke to the sound of Borra yelling in the Moors, and immediately teleported there to see him being held down by an iron trap, two poachers holding iron daggers to him.

- You levitated the trap off of him and threw it into the river, and as the poachers came at you, you snapped your fingers and they immediately fell to their knees as a searing pain went through out their entire bodies.

- "You monsters. You humans will never learn, will you?!"

- But Borra stopped you before you could kill them, and they ran off in fear while you tried to process what you almost did.

- He owed his life to you and thanked you for it, thinking how hot you looked angry

- You spent a lot of time together, sharing your beliefs and culture, and you ended up growing strong feelings for him.

- You never told him this, but when a female witch falls in love, she gives gifts to him to show her appreciation and love.

- this motherfucker found out and confronted you about it, not knowing that you thought that he was rejecting you and you started crying.

- You were confused, pulling away, and he happily returned your feelings. You then decided to reciprocate that kiss.

Udo headcannon: Jungle Fey Healer

- You and Udo grew up together, experiencing the great things in life while soaring through the great blue skies.

- But that also meant that you went into hiding together.

- Before that, the humans taught you how to medicate people and properly heal them, and that's what you did with Udo.

- He was injured trying to escape the massacre of your people, and an arrow pierced his wing.

- It was the first time you had seen him cry and in so much pain as well. It took months to heal, but with the proper ointment and wrapping, it was as good as new.

- And over those months, he fell for you.

- Even though he'd be in discomfort the entire time, he loved watching you work your magic and how you'd make medicine just for him.

- You were so caring and considerate, but wouldn't let him give up on himself when he would attempt to fly but couldn't because of the unbearable pain.

- "I am useless now, (Y/N). You should have left me for dead-"

"Don't you dare say that! This stuff takes time, Udo, and the children are worried sick about you. They would be so saddened if you had never made it here. You are not useless and never will be. You mean too much to us - to me."

- But he'd never tell you. He treasures your friendship bond so much to ever risk breaking it.

- He was completely fine admiring your brilliant rainbow wings from afar.

- Which he LOVED btw.

- He always insisted that they were beautiful compared to his, and would often make excuses to groom them.

"I think I see some dirt in them, may I get it out?"

- BUT HE'S ALSO FUCKING OBLIVIOUS.

- From flirting to playful banter, he had no fucking clue. You even went as far as sitting on his lap and wrapping an arm around him at one of the bonfires, but he just saw it as TWO BUDS HANGING OUT AND BEING BROS.

- You had had enough and just walked up to him one day at his nest and kissed him.

- "(Y/N), what a pleasant surp-mm!"

"Udo, I'm in love with you. I've loved you for years now, and I want a stronger bond than our friendship. I want to grow with you and have children, and teach them our culture and to be forever in love with you."

- He immediately kissed you back with just as much fire and passion, happy to finally be with the one Fey he loves most in this world.

- You ended up having a baby boy a few months later, who has his fathers bright blue eyes and gorgeous smile, but your horns and wings. Udo came up with the name Aeolus.

- Aeolus was two when Maleficent came, and she absolutely adored him. You two became best friends and you named her his godmother.

- Another beastie to look after ;)

- But you were gravely injured during the Battle of Ulstead, and even the best doctors didn't think you were going to make it.

- But Udo watched you work for years, and knew exactly what to do. He was determined and refused to let you go.

- He patched up your broken wing, sewed your wounds shut and cleaned them everyday while you were in comatose, and Maleficent used her magical to keep you healthy and breathing.

- After a month, you woke up and you awoke to Udo in tears. You both shared a loving kiss and embraced your family, never wanting to let go ever again.

- After a few more years, you had a girl that you named Devika and Aeolus couldn't be happier to have a little sister to look after.

- She has your eyes and facial features, but her father's wings and horns. But when she smiles, her eyes scrunch up and you can see the very essence of Udo in them.

- You are his healer, and he is yours.

Your mummy isn't getting a lot of sleep at night because you're quite the fire cracker, reminds me of someone I know," His amber eyes glanced up at you, and you giggled as his hand remained on your stomach.

"Can you do that for me, little Fey?" He hummed, and in response, your child kicked at his hand and he smiled fondly.

"I think that was a no, my love," You sighed.

"She's going to be a wild one. Maybe she'll even be in the Royal Guard," He suggested, getting up and helping you off your chair.

"She? I think it's more of a boy," He sighed.

"Come on, Borra, I'm seven months along and every person we have met says that they know it's going to be a boy. What's the problem with having a boy?" You asked, hands on your hips.

"I. . I've just always wanted a girl. Boys are more likely to go towards their mothers, and I want a little girl who will turn to me for anything."

"You want a daddy's girl?" You questioned.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Borra. I didn't realize that-"

"Don't fret, my love. We may have better luck next time," He smirked, and you playfully smacked his arm.

You sat there, sobbing uncontrollably in your bed.

You knew that your love for Borra stretched beyond just physical appearance, and you knew you would love your little boy or girl no matter the species they came out to be, but would the world love them?

Will the world treat them with kindness and give them the same opportunities as anyone else? Or will they be shunned for possibly being born with horns and wings? Will they be bullied and hurt by the world for being different?

You were so caught up in your own anxiety and stress that you didn't even notice that Borra had been calling your name.

"Anna!" You finally snapped out of it when he grabbed you by your shoulders and you looked at your beloved with tears in your eyes.

"Oh Borra," You choked up, and he sat down and cradled you in his chest. He let you cry until you calmed down and he held your cheek in his hand.

"Tell me what's going on, little bird," You loved how gentle and vulnerable he could be with you. He was patient and loving, and you know he will show the same side to your child, but you worry if he'll let bullying or the harshness of the world strike your child without lashing out in rage.

"I-I. . .I'm terrified."

"Of what?" He asked.

"Of how the world will react to our baby."

He fell silent. The worry and the stress getting to him and he understood it all.

"What if they are born without wings, but horns? Or wings, but no horns? Or just a human? We do not know how the Fey will react, or how the humans will, and Borra it fucking terrifies me," You expressed, and he did nothing but listen.

"Or a birth defect? Our child will be the first of its kind, so we have no prior experience or knowledge of what to do. . .I love my baby, but I fear what kind of fire we will start by bringing it into this world," You sniffled, rubbing your stomach and Borra lay his hand upon yours.

"The Fey will help."

You looked up at him.

"I feared this a while ago, and brought it up to the Fey and Queen Aurora. The Fey agreed that they will help in any way that they can to make our child feel the most comfortable and at home, and Aurora will decree that any discrimination to Fey or humans or any cross-breed will be met with the heaviest punishment. And whatever we cannot protect them from, they will grow and learn from it," He explained, bringing you such relief and joy as you lovingly kissed your husband.

"I love you so much, my Fey," You smiled, your forehead against his.

"And I you, my little bird."

Review: Awesome 9/10

Great plot. It’s very original to change the perspective in order to see the story from another point of view. Angelina Jolie really did a great job as Maleficent. I discovered Elle Fanning as Aurora in this movie. All I can say is that she truly is an angel. Adorable.

I love how it shows that love can be something more than a romantic thing between a young man and a young woman, and that this kind of (romantic) love does not always end up well, and that this does not mean that someone can’t live happily ever after. 

The aesthetic and the scenes were perfect but maybe there could have been more fairies. The dressing was appropriate for its setting in time and place and very accurate, specially the one Maleficentt wears. 

Finally, I love the way it empowers feminism without the necessity of evilizing or putting down the male figure in any way; It portrays feminism as something good on its own.

Can’t wait for the second part.
