I had a revelation.
I have always felt uncomfortable in some way or another with Zakumi's design (aside from his weird mouth) and I never knew why in specific.
I kept looking at him copiously without knowing what was off with him.
And then it hit me...
*sigh* Motherfucker... HE HAS NO EYEBROWS! LOOK AT HIM!
aND BEFORE ANY OF YOU SAY "no, he does have eyebrows they are right there!"
No! NO! I beg you, look at any video from his animated series and you will see that he doesn't commonly emote in a way he would need eyebrows to express his feelings. Even when he's not making those... faces, you can see that his base expression never changes!
So I drew the conclusion that while he has no eyebrows (not that he, as an anthropomorphic cat, needs them) he may have a big brow ridge to substitute the eyebrows.
